Ah yes, the giant stone titan able to topple a mountain- run around in a circle Ah yes, the giant floating jellyfish with volatile psychic powers- a funny stick popping from the ground
I sat for legit 30 minutes with REX and managed to get a clay pot onto the button with the Black Hole cube that drags things, it was such an accomplishment.
So the Clover is basically having Advantage in DND. Advantage means you roll your dice twice and take the higher number, so if you roll a 3 and 15 on a D20 you take the 15, and your chances of getting a 1 overall are extremely low. I can now see why the Clover is extremely powerful, especially since there's no cursed die which inexplicably has a 100% chance to roll a 1 every single time.
I did something like that with the Opinion red item. I was on my third loop, or maybe it was my second, and I was fighting in wetlands, when all of a sudden, I got the achievement. It actually showed up just as I interacted with a golden shrine for the first time, so for a little while, I thought it was the golden shrine that did it. My guess is a stray explosion/ukulele/firework/drone managed to reach all the way into the cavern from topside. Which is impressive, honestly.
I like the "Clover is amazing" in the middle of the screen at the tail end of your clover rave just in case the point wasnt clear and i have to say that was very necessary.
If you're familiar with dnd 5e, the clover essentially grants Advantage to your proc chances. It rolls twice and takes the more favorable result, which in rough percentages, makes you 25% more likely to proc with a 50% chance item, but only 5% more likely to proc with a 5% chance item. Advantage doesn't stack in 5e because it would be extremely broken, but it does in this game :D and Purity imposes Disadvantage, same thing but it takes the less favorable result
i made it to stage 9 for my first time and got the desert door to open. i didnt know how i did it but it was cool so i walked in and got obliterated by the fire and ice lemurians lmao edit. omg after watching your vid i realized i never pushed any buttons...i must have had two spots spawn on both buttons? or a monster push one or something. thats insane lol
Tip for the buttons solo: the primordial cube aka the black hole Q item will suck enemies to the button and no its not long enough to keep them on the button while you run to the next button, I’ve gotten a beetle stuck in the floor/the button if theres a big enough/enough enemies and they stay frozen in the button until you kill them or you get to close then the wake up and get unstuck, so as long as you dont have a drone or aoe items like the unstable Tesla coil then your able to do it after a few tries of shooting the black hole
I thought the interactions behind the lunar portal was pretty interesting, had no idea even if you bought the portal it would still take the chance down of getting one for free, I guess it makes sense with lunar coin chance going down EVEN IF you didn't pick it up.
I went in the desert door without knowing about it, I just found it and went in killed the elder lemurians and looked it up afterwards and figured out I did it without even knowing about any pressure plates, I just found the door open and went in. Now if that isn’t insane luck idk what is.
The Spinel Tonic chance is base 20% for a negative affliction. A single 57 leaf clover rerolls which reduces it to 4%. Makes Spinel tonic much more viable if you cant or do not want to do Gesture/Fuel Cell stacking. Likewise it makes it MUCH safer if you only have a couple of them and it's auto-activation from gesture.
Finaly I got why having a shaped glass with a ton of leech is way better than having ton hp even with more damage items and leech. Because of one shot protection.
I know you have probably gone over this before but I didn't here you say anything about the end game lunar coins and that you get ten for beating the game. I guess it's not a secret just throwing it out there love the content and I love this game!
I literally just got the desert door like a few days ago. My game was cursed and abso-fucking-lutely refused to give me both buttons. I'd sometimes find one, then I'd scour the map for 30 minutes, ruin my run, and find nothing else. I literally got the Clear Skies platinum trophy when I finally picked up those bands for the first time. THAT'S how ridiculously unlucky I was with button spawns.
So I activated the newt alter, hoping to get pause because I started recently (my highest is engineer) and my "teammate" stole it and got the achievement, so now its time for me to go grind and try and get the portal, thx for the locations
The exploit to get into the aquaduct door has apparently been patched technically... but there is another method that is almost identical... instead you have to use huntress's ability and phase through the terrain to the left of the door almost at the top... it took several tries for me but was able to clip through and then hop over the wall at the top of the door structure and down into the cave
Hey Woolie love your vids! I've got a question for you! At the end of the video when discussing the 57 leaf clover you mention that an item cannot proc itself, meaning a ukelele cannot trigger another ukulele effect, but could proc say an Atg missile. My question is, can an Atg missle that was originally proc'd by a ukulele effect go on to the proc another ukelele effect? So it would go regular attack -> uke -> ATG -> uke. Is this possible?
no, it is not - I should have been more clear in my reasoning but what I meant to say is that an item cannot proc itself during a chain. meaning, the chain in your case would be: uke -> ATG -> uke, which is not possible. however, if the initial attacked proc'd uke as well as ATG INDIVIDUALLY, then you could have two chains, which would be: 1) uke > ATG 2) ATG > uke both of which came from the same attack. hopefully that makes sense!
That one Run where I had 3 challenge of the mountain in a rex Run and got 4 feathers and then found 3 in the 4th stage and then died because I jumped too high and health was too low for osp...
12:05 if the items can proc each other’s does that mean if a ukelele procs a missile does that missle also have a chance of procing the ukelele afterwards and can keep going back and forth without any input from you as long as the procs continue?
(My English is not good UwU) This game has a kind of chest name is Cloated chest, i saw it 2 time before. One is normal chest and one is guaranteed chest. Cost nothing to open and it's invisible.
I just cant seem to find the second pressure plate. I always find the first one almost instantly but then i inspect each and any rock or pla t or whatever and i just cannot find it. Also litching through the door doenst work. Is it possible that they patched rhe plates so you cant do it solo?
Kjaro and Runald used to spawn by passing an invisible point in the tunnel leading to them. As of recently, this was changed to only happen if both plates have been pressed beforehand. So no more glitching through the door. You can do it solo though, because Engineers turrets weigh down the plates, so just stick a turret on a plate and go stand on the other one.
Great vid. What about the shrine of blood glitch where if you activate it on one stage then you start with the money on the next stage. It's really useful on the first loop but is much more consistent on multiplayer runs unless a shrine spawns near the tele.
two questions. osp for topaz, how much barrier do I have to have to be at 90%, and for lunar coins, has the drop rate changed recently? or is the drop rate better on monsoon? I see them a lot more recently, but I've also been playing monsoon recently too.
You need to have 90% of your health (shield + HP) as barrier for its OSP to be up. You dont need "180%", if that is what you're wondering - so, if you have 1000 health, you'd need 900 barrier (the bar will say 1900/1000) to have both HP + barrier OSP. And no, coin drop rates are the same across all difficulties and have not changed
I recently started playing this game on the xbox release and im enjoying it, but in your overall opinion which character has the best early game (in the late game it doesnt matter as much right?)
Artificer, for sure. Merc also has an easy time but Artificer has insanely good single target, AoE and utility and can clear stages with ease, regardless of which items she gets
So there is a stealth chest that spawned for me in wetlands aspect under one of the slanted platforms, I don’t know if it’s a new thing or what but all I know is I saw that litterally name “stealth chest” appears on my screen and was like “what?” So a bit odd to me
you didn't cover the secret of the bands always proc'ing eachother if you have at least one of both types. If one procs the other will always proc with it! This combo alone will drastically help your single target DPS so getting these earlier helps your runs not suck.
I was going to add it but recently found out that the 8% chance is NOT rolled 2 times if you have both bands. they simply share the same 8% chance and thus it doesn't affect the overall odds of proc'ing the bands, as previously thought.
Im new to this game and was playing commando and I sont know if it was an item or if the enemys were falling out of the map but halfway into my run if I was far enough away from the boss it would just get melted. Is that an item or a glitch?
Are you sure one shot protection doesn't just simply limit any hit to a maximum of 90% of your hp? i.e. if you had 100hp, and 50 barrier (so 150 total) and get hit by 400 damage, it would take you to 60hp not 10hp?
that is how it works but barrier is not a part of your "combined max HP" and thus doesn't count for your HP one-shot-protection. barrier actually has its OWN OSP built in, so in that case, you would go down to 10 HP because barrier is separate. but, in the same case, if you had 100 max HP and full barrier (100), a 400 dmg hit would bring you to 10 barrier + full HP
Did they patch the desert door glitch? I have a shitton of movespeed on commando right now and I'm dashing into the same part of the door everyone does and it's not working.
It still works. I did it today with commandos second dash load out with no items. I got it but.... the boss did not appear. It was just an empty room and I could not get out either. No items to jump high enough
The bosses don't spawn unless the plates are pressed, so getting in via glitching is useless (The bosses must be killed for both the items and the achievement). Getting the bands SOLO isn't worth more effort than stepping on the first button you happen to find and hoping a barrel spawned on the other.
no, an item cannot occur more than once in the same chain. so, a Ukulele can proc an ATG but that ATG cannot proc another ukulele. what can happen, though, is a single attack proccing BOTH a uku and ATG, and in that case, you would have: ATG > Uku AND Uku > ATG (so, 2 from 1 attack)

i dont like mithrix's spinny laser wall attack cuz i keep accidentally picking up shield generators and losing my osp then getting hit and dying pathetically.
i dont get the 2hko protection, i have had several runs where i have been at 200% hp, and had several times my max hp (topaz broch+ aegis) in shields, and still get killed by a single instance of damage....
the same clips still work - the lemurians won't spawn unless the door is opened regularly, though. so, if you're playing a ranged survivor that can clip through, you can use the top-right corner to cheese the fight after the door has been opened
nope - an item can only proc once in the SAME chain. you CAN have a single attack proc both a Ukulele and ATG simultaneously and then both of them can proc the other (getting a pretty nice amount of damage from a single attack) but the chains are entirely independent & each unique item can only happen once for its chain

i dont get the 2hko protection, i have had several runs where i have been at 200% hp, and had several times my max hp (topaz broch+ aegis) in shields, and still get killed by a single instance of damage....
The barrier's osp was taken away. As for regular osp I dunno sometimes I get obliterated, too
What about null postal
5:25 is that a challenge
Can u clip thru the door in a new way after the updates?
the same clips still work - the lemurians won't spawn unless the door is opened regularly, though. so, if you're playing a ranged survivor that can clip through, you can use the top-right corner to cheese the fight after the door has been opened
Dumb question, but can ATG proc Ukulele which procs ATG which procs Ukulele and etc etc etc?
nope - an item can only proc once in the SAME chain. you CAN have a single attack proc both a Ukulele and ATG simultaneously and then both of them can proc the other (getting a pretty nice amount of damage from a single attack) but the chains are entirely independent & each unique item can only happen once for its chain
