    For best driving on stock servo is gyro at 50-75 and throttle at 75 (theres actually 3 speeds).

    This looks very promising. I see a lot of potential for upgrades and modifications. It like the k969 but 1/18. I hope you will upgrade it in the future

    Hello. I changed the Esc today. Swapped the receiver and transmitter for a Noble NB4+, also installed an Afrc GYS-2 V4 servo and a Surpass Hobby Digital Servo 9G, but the wheels wobble a lot. I have the AE86 by the way

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  5 месяцев назад +1

      GYS-2 V4 has severe wheel shake problem with some cars. Seems like they designed the gyro to be used with a programmable servo that you can increase the dampening. There's nothing you can do with your setup to fix this.
      I find that the gyro still works without programmable servo because it's predictable and the steering curve is good. But the shake is still annoying nonetheless.

      @ElPunto620 just got everything I said I ordered on and turned the gyro to +50% gain and there was some bad shake back it down to around +25% and the shake went away. Way less twitchy then the stock setup and the servo is a direct drop in which is nice

      Unfortunately I only had the time to finish this review right when the new one comes out. Still, seems to be the same chassis with different electronics. If the new one has better gyro then it'll be a complete package.

    • @PlatinumNath
      @PlatinumNath 4 месяца назад +1

      1899 is heavier and will be slower than the 1801/1802/1803. It has better remote yes but nothing else.

    • @R-EVLMNKY
      @R-EVLMNKY 4 месяца назад +2

      @@PlatinumNath better looking body imo which is very good available option even being heavy as it is. Most people intend to upgrade and mod them anyway, can do it on a budget or at a higher end way with brushless and definitely better electronics to make it proper drifter 😊

    • @PlatinumNath
      @PlatinumNath 4 месяца назад

      @@R-EVLMNKY problem is it has a heavy metal body sitting on the same plastic chassis, which will also stress the chassis and suspension. You'd have to basically revamp the entirety of it when upgrading the car not only to catch up with the performance but also durability compared to it's full plastic brethrens that just needs a gyro and RX/TX swap to be decent.

    • @R-EVLMNKY
      @R-EVLMNKY 4 месяца назад +1

      @@PlatinumNath and I’m doing that as expected. Can do it cheap with DIY know how. Everything change like the earlier model plastic ones with stock plastic chasis (hoping not to get into accident, for it to hold the very heavy metal body for it’s scale) change shocks and mounts. I guess it is not for all but “unfortunately”, so many are still buying it. I hope they are also having a great time with it like me 😁

  • @FCRC

    what do you consider that is the best 1/18 drifter? was looking in that scale to match with my TRX4m trucks.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Месяц назад +1

      I don't play many 1/18 so I can't really answer that. Any 4WD will drift with slippery plastic tyres though. I'd say LDRC is really good if you install your own transmitter and gyro.

  • @SeekingTheVerdants

    If you hold down the A and B buttons together, the stock gyro can be disabled. Then one can add a GT55 instead.

      You can try different pieces and see which ones give you the ride height you need. It's not really specific which one goes into what, just the length of the piece that matters.

      @@Noonamee-x6c Considering the UR710 has EPA so it's at least a 3rd gen gyro, it should be alright or probably about the same as AFRC GYS-2 V3. Still, V4 is better for direct steering car so I'd rank them like this, choose them based on what you can get. GT55 V4 > AFRC GYS2 V4 (same steering but no wheel shake filter) > UR710 V2 (if it's gen 3 then the steering curve is not as good as AFRC and it'll have the same wheel shake, if it's gen 4 then it'll be almost the same).
