    Your scrub radius explanation, while correct, doesn't have any relevance to the adjustable width axle. The front hub pivot doesn't change position - the offset spacers just allow you to use the same wheel offset on different width bodies.

    Hey beaver. Im searching to enter to the hobby. What is my best option (rwd) for 200€? Thanks you!

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Год назад

      For 200EUR, chassis only, not include electronics there are a few options.
      If you are a beginner and this will be your first kit, Atomic DRZ V3 is a solid option.
      If you have some experience building cars then definitely DriftArt 3S.

      @@BeaversHobby what the cheapest build that I can do? Im planning to use HGV1 Chasis. Could you recomend to me the electronics. If its possible with the lowest budget. Thanks you again!

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Год назад

      @@ivanparga3825 HGV1 is a good choice for budget RWD drift. Obviously the control is not as good as double wishbone suspension design but it'll slide.
      For budget electronics you can get Surpass Rocket 1410 motor (just the motor, don't get the ESC combo) and get DasMikro V3 ESC. That will save a lot of money but still very good. As for the servo, AFRC D1802MG is enough. Now, you will have to get a very good gyro to make it work, GT55 V4 is the one to get. Luckily it's around the same price as other gyros so that'll be $33 if you get the version without metal casing.
      Budget transmitter... something can't go that low so I'd recommend either Radiolink RC4GS or Flysky G7P. If you want to go lower than that then DumboRC will do fine.

    What would you say the total build cost would be including remote? (Not including upgrades)

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Год назад +3

      Chassis + wheels + body + electronics (sensorless motor) with Noble NB4 transmitter & gyro receiver is about $639 not including a battery charger. You can also get other transmitter like Flysky G7P and it will reduce the cost by about $106 so it'd be $533.
      It goes something like this
      Chassis $240
      Wheel & tyres $15
      Body $20
      Servo $45
      ESC + Motor (sensorless) $60
      Battery $15
      Noble NB4 $200
      Receiver with gyro V4 integrated $44
      As you can see, the big chunk of the budget goes into transmitter and electronics.

    Regarding the construction, why did you change the position of the engine?
    THANKS.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  9 месяцев назад +1

      To make it fit inside the body. This body is very small so the way to mount the motor is very limited.

      @@BeaversHobby What are the differences in drift driving ?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  9 месяцев назад +1

      @@frkial8649 It rolls a bit less than having the motor in a higher position and the car can pivot faster because the motor is low down and inward. And it won't have the swing like when you have the motor at the back.

    Hello Beaver, thanks for your videos. I want to buy a drift car, but I don't know if the drift art da3s, GLD or a mini-z MA020 (better than MA030 for drift?). What do you think is the best option? I guess the first two. But on the other hand I think miniz is always a good option for parts (autoscale), upgrades and community.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Год назад +3

      If this is your first car and you want to go with a kit car (DA3S, GLD, etc.) you will need some electronics and things can go out of budget very easily.
      MA-020 while it's AWD and plastic, Mini-Z has the benefits of open the box and run without needing anything else.
      All in all, if you will be doing this for the long haul getting a good transmitter, charger and start with a kit car will go a long way. If you want a pickup and play experience without much hassle then Mini-Z is good for that.
      Parts support wise, for DA3S you will most likely have to import the spares if anything brakes. The support is quite sparse but it's not so bad. GLD is available in most Mini-Z racing shops. Mini-Z is kinda everywhere but if you want anything specific you might still need to import it from Japan. Still, they do re-stock stuffs rather quickly.
      What I wanted to say is that all of them have their quirks and it's down to what path will you go. Quick and easy or difficult in the beginning but sustainable for long haul.

      @@BeaversHobby Thanks for answering. The truth is that I currently have a flysky gt5, but next week the flysky nb4 will arrive. Although I think both will be fine, the nb4 is much better. I only have drift experience with the k969 and it's obviously a bit lacking in quality and spin. On the one hand, I would like to try a ma020, (which I could use with the nb4 and the flysky adapter). but I feel that the gld could be a good idea. It is €50 cheaper than drift art. In addition, it includes a servo and an esc. I would only have to buy a receiver, because I have a motor and wheels. The question is, how much better is the drift art vs gld to pay €50 plus esc, plus servo? worth It?

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  Год назад +1

      @@david9778 Out of the box DriftArt is much better than the GLD. It's more difficult to tune but everything is there already so you have access to caster setup and full range of steering. GLD really needs some upgrades to make it run optimally.

    • @david9778
      @david9778 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@BeaversHobby and drz3? Worth It? From my point of view ma020 is a good idea if you live un Japan. The price is around 120$. Moreover if you have a flysky nb4.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@david9778 If you can get MA-020 for $120 and you only slide for fun then just get the Mini-Z. DRZ3 is a better drift car but you will have to spend more than $240 just to get it running.

    Looking at getting RWD 1/24 drift, what’s the best one to get in your opinion? Love the videos thank you

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  7 месяцев назад

      Personally I like MA Racing 1.5 the best. It comes with aluminium where it needs so you don't have to upgrade it any further. You'll be stuck at 1/24 though.
      A more flexible option is DriftArt 3S so you can alternate between 1/28 and 1/24 and there are options for upgrade like tilting servo mechanism that will give you more adjustability.
      Anyway, either one is great.
