The phone has been on the market for nearly a year , great price ! , the big plus is the notification led bar , no more having to switch on and use valuable battery life to check calls and messages , interchangable colour caps look cool , Sony back on top !!
I haven't updated to Ics. Most people will be using it out of the box, which is only 2.3.7. Stamina mode is only good for keeping battery life decent when no apps are running, and the screen is turned off.
Important points to note : Soon it will be upgraded to the Ice Cream Sandwhich (I think it may already be available) and also the phone comes with 50gb of cloud storage which is no extra cost and you can use it for as long as you want, there is no time limite. You aren't really limited to 8gb

I do have the HTC Desire C (I just recently played leodee's HTC Desire unboxing) and nope you couldn't get jellybean via official update but with flashing rom's perhaps you can.

I would go for the Xperia U because it has a faster processor, loads of internal storage, very good screen and many more reasons related to fastness (is that a word?). However, if you want to have a memory stick slot, a bigger screen and more battery power then I guess the Xperia Play is for you.

I just bought that phone ... anyway I have a problem, it's usb connected to my laptop, which is connected to the internet via wifi (full 5 bars on a open home connection) ... but the phone wouldn't pick it up, it gets 2 of my neighbours wifi's but not the one I actually want ... and it's not my wifi's foult, I got iphones, tablets, numerous laptops (since I'm using one now), nokias, pdas, all easily connected, even my brother's cheap android lg never had a problem, what can I do?
where is everybody getting this phone from? Virgin do it cheap but it only comes with 2gb. Not ideal ay you can't put a micro sd in. 8gb would be more than enough for me tho.
If this phone had a micro SD card slot then I would definitely get it. But seriously only 6gb available and no SD card slot. Just why?? I love to store lots of music on my phone so this is a big thing for me!

Total capacity is 8GB which divide to 2 for system + 2 for application then another 4 GB for media storage.
