I just won this line at a recent event, excited to get out there & try it!
The Elite Predator Series is my #1 Line! Absolutely killer! Loads close, carries a huge fly, stabile in the air, perfect turn over with delicacy and accuracy even when pushing the fly size limit to the MAX! The slick cast is no joke, just slides off the guides and the multi density heads....perfection!
Thanks Gunnar!!!!
Always impressive Rio! Good work!
Finally a peacock bass in a box, just like we did in 2010 😜 I'm looking forward to use in the Jungle next month FEB 2023. Love the products.
Thanks!!!
Can't wait to try it this summer. Looks good, guys!
Let us know how you like it!
Best lines I’ve cast!
Thanks!
super
Any special care/cleaning for this line? Is it ok to use in saltwater?
Care as you would any other fly line! It's definitely ok in saltwater!
Is this the same line that's on the Redington Field Kit for Bass?
It's very similar! That line we make specifically for that kit, but if you go with the Warmwater Predator, you wouldn't be disappointed.
What’s the temp range on this line ? Will it work in 80 degree temps?
75-100F
Can I Spey cast this line with my switch rod and 14ft two hand rod?
This line was not designed for Spey casting unfortunately and probably wouldn't work the best.
Highly appreciated for your response. Can I Spey cast RIO OUTBOUND SHORT PREMIER FLY LINE with my 11ft switch rod? And could you let me know if I can use RIO INTOUCH SKAGIT MAX GAMECHANGER FLY LINE at warm air such as 86F degree? Thank you
Tropical Outbound wouldn't be recommended, as most of the grain weights are too light for typical spey rods. The Elite Switch Chucker is more aligned for that type of application but really using powerflex ultra running line and a either a Skagit Mini Max Power head or Skagit Max Power head or Gamechanger head would be closer. 86F is out of the temp range, so it will be a bit soft, but a hard nylon running line with a spey head is probably as close to workable as you can get for this type of warmer water application. @@winbait
So grateful for your kind reply to my every question. I am looking forward to setup correct lines for my special fishing situation. I am fishing in a mountain lake with small or medium sized streamer fly in a warm area and need set the fly in very deep water about 30ft depth due to most of fish staying on this depth. I need your kind recommendation to buy which shooting lines, running lines or integrated lines, sinking tips and leaders for bank fishing with my sage x 6139 rod(400-450grain), and lines for boat fishing with my sage G5 4113 rod (300-350grain). It would be great if the lines for sage g5 are also available to fit my single handed 8 wt rod. I think this is the best choices to me to make decisions from your professional opinion . Waiting for your kind advice and really appreciated your help. Fish deeper water in warm weather. Thank you.
Totally understand where you are looking to use this now. Special application for sure but to get it to do what your looking to do here you need a setup that will sink fast and not be too soft from the heat. For the 6139 rod a 9wt fast sink 375 grain Outbound Shooting Head (head only version) paired with Powerflex Ultra running line .025" would probably be best. With using the head paired with a hard nylon running line, that'll help with the heat and keep it more stiff. Same with the G5 4113, use a 7wt 265 grain fast sink Outbound Shooting Head with the Powerflex Ultra .025". When overhand casting spey rods, you can drop down a bit below the grain window because in these cases, you don't have the MOW spey tip grains to include. These setups should get you really close.
