I work at phone repair shop, and we often get these poorly fixed phones done by other shops. If they used factory cut adhesive, the screen should not be coming off. By the way, the green or blank screen can happen from pressure, like in your pocket or it in bed, it's not always a drop of liquid damage.

In my opinion the best Samsung ever made was the S9 plus. Loved the screen, design and the physical fingerprint on the back was so convenient.

IMO some of their best were the S7/edge, S10 series, S20 series, then they screwed it all up by removing the SDcard slot. I prefer to keep my stuff in my phone, nothing in the cloud, so I got a new A54. Not the greatest but at least it has an SDcard slot + 1 TB card. :)

I've still got mine, and i agree, there's some things about it that I kinda prefer to newer models. For a 5yr old phone it's still very respectable. My screen is still functioning perfectly. The heart monitor was such a nice feature, i wish they'd bring it back.

For me, its insane to see a 5 year old phone having more features than newer ones, a lot of things have been taken away, the headphone jack in particular is so convenient, plug in a set of headphones and you are good to go, no worried about charging them. And same, I'd love to see the O2/Heart Rate sensor coming back, sometimes I prefer wearing my old analogue watch over smart one, so its indeed a very useful feature.

I don't have an S10+ but my old Note 10+ is still used daily by my mom and it's still perfectly fine with the original battery and screen. Also i was wondering if a custom rom would be better for those phones since they are newer and more up to date versions. Even Samsung's own skin from the S23 is ported to those older phones

I feel the UI is pretty fresh, does not feel dated, apart from the old quick panel, I wish Samsung had a longer support cycle for these phones, they are still perfectly usable and relevant, especially the Note 10+ which feels like a modern phone even though its almost 5 years old now. Custom rom can breathe new life into these phone, but its always risky to flash the firmware.

@@TechGuyCharlie Yeah those series aged very well. I have a Z Fold 4 and an A54 and comparing my old Note 10+ to the A54.....display,camera and battery are better on the A54 but the performance is still worse than the Note. It's kind of amazing how this old phone still performs better than modern mid-range phones
