For those of you wondering if you need BIOS update. I just build a new PC today oct 1st 2021. Ryzen 5600g and MSI b450m bazooka wifi. As it turns out. The system does post and brings you to bios so you DO NOT need an old CPU to update it. Simply have a flash drive with the new bios version and update it
I did something like that this year, but it was in the Asrock X300 mini PC and with a 4750g APU. I am happy with it. I have gone mini PC since last year. I still have the desktop with a 12c 16t AMD CPU and a 2070 RTX, but will only use the desktop when a new AAA game I may want to try comes out.
It's actually one of the easiest cases to build in and keep everything nice and tidy. And the airflow is great, I really like being able to remove the PSU shroud cut out to put and extra fan in too.
the AMD logo goes on the left because the mount is not square so it only goes on the left or right and if you put it on the right it will likely interfere with the DIMM slot closest to the socket
@@WePC some people would also say the AMD logo would be the wrong way if it was on the right. What I have done in the past is removed the fan and turned it 90 degrees then reattached the fan that way you can mount the cooler with the AMD logo at the top :D
@@WePC honestly I have no idea, maybe on certain motherboards it might interfere with heatsinks at the top of the board maybe the way it is set up was thought as being the least troublesome
because PSU used to go into the top of cases as standard they are all designed with the same orientation, and haven't changed it even though most PSU's go in the bottom now.
hey would a ASUS Prime B450M-A II work with 5600g? im nervous about bios updating so im looking for a board that works out of the box with 5600g or if a last resort ill go with one that has bios flashback but it would help a lot
That PC is good 👌😊 Unfortunately for me I cannot enter the giveaway because I am from South Africa 🇿🇦 but that's fine and I will continue supporting this channel because I love it and I love the crew.
What would you say is the best use case for such a build ? Is it only for the person who only wants new parts and can't afford a gpu with the current prices ? For better immediate gaming performance wouldn't something like a i5-10400F with a 2nd hand GTX 970 be roughly the same price and much much better in gaming ? Nice build video, really clear and easy to follow.
I think it's a stepping stone PC for people who want new parts and are looking to buy a dedicated GPU later on. From our benchmarks AMD does out perform Intel so I'd recommend AMD CPUs, especially the 5000 series which have been great. I haven't tested the 5600G against the 970 but it does slightly out perform the 1030 so the 970 might just be slightly better.
@@WePC Vega 11 and 1030 are not far off in performance, but the 970 absolutely demolished both of them (as would any budget dedicated gpu, such as the AMD RX 570 etc.). I agree AMD 5000 outperformed their Intel counterparts, but at the budget option it may be better to get the older 10th gen Intel and a 2nd hand GPU rather than a 5000 series APU. Both are valid options depending on whether the person wants better gaming performance now or is saving up for a really good GPU.
