It seems that after the artist finished painting the background, he covered the canvas with a layer of tracing paper. The tracing paper made the background hazy and blurred, and then painted another layer of foreground on the tracing paper. This is a wonderful technique, but the tracing paper Not as elastic as canvas, it will tear easily if pulled hard. What I'm curious about is how he secured such a large piece of tracing paper to the canvas?
Looks like 'Architectural Planning' paper, super high grade 'tracing paper', it has a whitish sheen on the reverse* (I could be mistaken though), it softly mutes anything underneath
What would you rather have him paint it on than?? Wood, No. Metal, No. Plexiglass maybe.. but his brush strokes blend the way they do BECAUSE of the canvas. So…..
Beautifully done video. Thank you. The art of Mr. Rhee is wonderful. Thank you.
And I was wondering how he did that with the fog. Brilliant!
Incredible video. ticks all of the boxes: slow piano music, beautiful view of nature, visiting cat. You nailed it!
Beautiful. Feels like looking out of the window on a rainy day in a warm apartment at a lake, such tender feeling.
Rarely seen such a clean studio 😅
Artists are so clever. We owe them them our evolution.❤
That's beautiful 🤍
Incredibly beautiful work.
Well done sir. ❤
I like it. Its alike me graphic works of Shigeki Tomura.
Absolutely love your work!!!!
Nada se compara con ese momento de la contemplación al final del proceso meditativo de pintar.
Very Beautiful and Tranquil work! What is that fabric, and how do you apply it to the canvas?
thanks and love...
amazing!
Love your art. Finally some art that is great to view and makes me feel good.
Totally agreed
I’m not gonna lie the music and art made the ambiance touch my soul
Atmospheric, peaceful and in the end beautiful. Nice work.

I thought it was silk nylon combo over first layer
Peut-être qu'il cache son Secret,a mon avis il colle son"papier"sur sa toile.de toutes façons il arrive a rendre une atmosphère qui est très réfléchie

For what do you use the 35mm slides? I use them in my art and for inspiration. Your work is wonderful!
It reminds me of Turner. It has that dream like quality.
so cool. love it.
작가님의 정갈한 성격이 오롯이 녹아들어 작품과 작업실이 짝맞춤한 것처럼 보여요^^👍
고퀼의 영상미까지 돋보이는
그래서 역시❣️ 국제다움🤗
AMAZING! SO GORGEOUS! I've been trying to obtain this kind of softness using an airbrush - but these works leave me speechless! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
first of all……elegant, peacefully thoughtful, beautiful, talented, c a l m I n g. Zen
che pazienza
What's that material he put over the painting? Was that opaque fabric?

He uses a toilet set cover as a paint palette. 😄
Beautiful work. It’s a shame that it’s on canvas. Canvas keeps restorers in business.
que horrivel
Like yerface?
I'm all misty eyed....
More pretentious Shiite from wealthy people who pretend to be artists.. boring play painting..
Where is your resentful laden work on display?
