I am just slightly concerned (as a long-time PS player since PS1) that if Xbox goes out of the console business, the lack of competition will not have a positive effect on Sony.
These didn't buy all those companies to get out the console business, sony is struggling financially, there doing the same exact thing dropping all there games to pc, they follow everything xbox does. Js.

Xbox is really the first ever console platform holder that starts publishing former exclusives on competing platforms. This is a sign of desperation, especially in light of sharply dropping Xbox console sales. If you, after all the developments of the last 6 months or so, still believe that Xbox consoles will go on for years to come, then I envy your optimism.

Xbox sales flatlining in Europe, and you say it's "not struggling in any shape or form"? Spencer himself publicly admitting losing this console generation, and yet you see no struggle? Where do you get your rose-tinted glasses from?
Xbox games thriving on PS will only lead to ultimately all of them coming over. Which will completely eliminate any need to own an Xbox console. Xbox will soon be just another 3rd party publisher. The writing is on the wall and you need to be willingly blind to ignore it.

Lmao. Series are Trojan horse consoles aka they are dominant in their own ecosystem and with a 70-80 gamepass attachment no one can stop them on their own platform. Hence they are now expanding into other ecosystems due to zero competition except for tencent (similar content provider). Ea and t2 are both dead in their ability to output vs ps1 to 3 generation, in an industry where AAA now takes 5 years. Since Xbox ecosystem has a moat, Ms can easily invade others and use day1 as a weapon (vs 70 usd/mtx/dlc). This is just good business.

Actually this is sad, because we are losing a console manufacturer and for the console market it's bad news, we are seeing a decline in console sales, even the ps5 is not seling as sony was expecting and the PC gaming is getting more popular and the lack of console exclusives are going to kill them, hope this never happend

Whether it's today or 1 year later or 5 years later, eventually all the Xbox exclusives will end up on Playstation.
It's not like I'm saying this cuz I want to play Xbox games, just stating facts. You can say the same about PS games on PC too. Eventually all major PS exclusives will end on PC whether you like it or not. Companies will always go where the money leads them. Especially in case of Microsoft, their core audience on their consoles mostly subscribe to gamepass & don't buy their games so they will sell it to those who do buy games(PS users)

Xbox Series X has: quick resume, better gamepad, it is silent, easy to clean, same games consume 7 to 12 Watts less than PS5 (take a look at MATRIX AWAKENS or new Sniper Elite). It's a masterpiece. I do not own PC, because I hate playing with graphical settings. I want to sit down and play (that simple). I'm sure we will see more from Series X in upcoming years. More pros.
I think more and more people are going to understand the series X better and offer way more than the PS5 for the price. I got tired of Sony lame exclusives and realized what’s going on. Believe you me, you don't want Playstation to be the only console in the market. You need one competitor to put pressure on the other. Same way AMD is putting the pressure on Nvidia. Two consoles with their own unique exclusives is how it should be. Microsoft has the studios now, they just need to deliver. Otherwise PC will take over.
The point is people want their consoles to be played on, where console players will be playing tes 6, state of decay 3, new halo and more? On pc? Ridiculous, not everyone is so rich, that is the answer, but you ve already known it, haven't you?

The honest reason I would buy a Xbox is only to play the old games literally, I’m dying to play the fear games with all dlc so I’m really looking to buy possibly a Xbox one x just to enjoy those games.
I definitely recommend it! The absolutely best thing about Series X (and why I got it on launch) is because its the most backwards compatible console ever and funny how you mentioned FEAR games because I just played them myself for the first time on Series X 😄

Xbox consoles aren't selling.
Xbox games on Playstation are.
What do you think they'll continue to do to please shareholders? It's not hard to figure out.
Ye ultimately at the end of this road is likely same scenario that happens with Windows Phone. MS will stop manufacturing hardware and Xbox as console will die out. But ultimately Microsoft can only blame themselves for that. They had the edge after Xbox 360 but dropped the ball with Xbox One launch and further screwed things up by not investing for 1st party developers for years, instead relying on 3rd party exclusive deals which failed one after another.
Microsoft got it chance when many PlayStation 2 users switched over to Xbox 360 because 360 was launched earlier, it had better lineup of games earlier and Sony overpriced PS3. Heck even RROD issues didnt screw things for them, but the catastrophic PR/launch for Xbox One and the lackluster 1st party lineup made sure that vast majority of console gamers chose PlayStation (or Switch) and there is no reason for these players to chose Xbox anymore, especially if they also own PC
Buying all these developers came far too late for them as well to turn things around.
But ultimately it doesnt even so much matter to MS as long as they make revenue from games, but if they had better leadership then Xbox consoles sales could have continued to do well but they screwed things up just as badly as they did with their phone business.
It just goes showing that its hearth Microsoft is software company, not hardware driven company
@BadAssSykO not a lot of exclusive games...you don't think 10 million per exclusive title on just ps5 is not a lot? They don't need xbox. Xbox needs them and their install base. It's the other way around. Xbox is definitely dying.

@@RuTube981 10million is a lot of games but at the same time there’s over 50million ps5 consoles in the world so you would expect higher numbers , Microsoft have basic created a brilliant service game pass but at the same time shot themselves in the foot because no one wants to buy games because they expect it just to come to game pass, I personally don’t own a pa5 or Xbox console I play on pc but what I will say PlayStation games are on a over level and you may not agree about PlayStation putting games on pc but they are the best games I’ve played in along time. Also I have gamepass on my pc and I’m in that mind set that I will not buy anything from the Xbox store because I don’t need to, but when a ps game goes on steam I have to buy it because that is the only option

Well to MS just like any company its revenue that matters. Do you think shareholders and bosses at MS care where that money comes from, as long as business grows? If their gaming business can grow from PlayStation community buying and playing the IPs they own, then it doesn't matter if Xbox as console isnt doing well.

Newsflash PS units are tanking also! Their last finacial report cost them several closed studios , 10BILLION stock drop, and several key Devs fired, followed by an anouncement of no first party games for over A YEAR! Profits are UP for XBox (you failed to mention) is why he was "celebrating" the games on PS. You best believe Sony execs are seeing XB making it rain off their sales , when their profits are DOWN low enough to halt production on games. The new XBox in the PS5 , as PS gamers ditch their own platform games for XBox leftovers, making it the ONLY console whose top games are not their own.
I think Microsoft is going to pull a windows phone on the Xbox console, where they just halted production and announced it last minute. Why would they say they are done with xbox before they end production when they want to get rid of their inventory?

I’m way more excited for Xbox than for PlayStation. PlayStation exclusives been expensive and terrible. Last of us part 2 horizon 0 dawn both are wack. PlayStation exclusives used to be kool now fans just like any game they release no matter the price. Xbox is winning the og gamers back. Things like hellblade 2 not costing 70 with no multiplayer but stellar blade is Sony mock gamers with being greedy like these single player games should cost 70 when we can play new release on Xbox not gonna mention bougie pc because if it’s on game pass it’s Xbox. When I was playing Stellar Blade, which I am quite impressed with so far, my PS5 just randomly switched off, and I don't know why. Can anyone help me figure it out.
It only happened once before, a year and half ago, while playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
If you also got a error code you may need to uninstall and download again it happened with Helldivers for me and that worked
My you need to clean it I hope you can enjoy playing that great game 😊
make sure to give it a clean out every 2 months make sure it has good ventilation and have it horizontal

I used to love Xbox…. Until I bought a high end PC… my friend was trying and I finally caved. Week later sold my Xbox for a PS5 again. There is absolutely no reason to own an Xbox this gen especially, because a PC will do everything better. Now PS5 and Nintendo they have great games that are exclusive and I will always own those too.

It was poor judgment for Xbox to release on PC day one. Also, PC online is free, and gamepass is only $9.99. The Xbox One x is the last Xbox I will ever buy. I'll keep it for a 4k bluray player.

Staya is doing what Phil could not, because Phil lacked the guts to tell xbots the truth. Hearing MS take credit for porting Xbox games to their competitor is like taking credit for using your face to hurt your opponents fist. It was always going to be a humiliating end for Xbox consoles. The hardware has tanked and now they are engineering console obsolescence to justify throwing xbots under the bus. We knew it was coming.

Microsoft becoming a third party publisher makes sense for them. They obviously don't care about selling Xbox consoles since they don't have any exclusives and have been pushing Game Pass for years. Their games won't sell as well where Game Pass is available, but they will sell better on PlayStation and Nintendo.
