Thank goodness you took the time to make this video. Iv not had hot water in three days. Plumber cant come right away. Our fikter was clenaed 2 weeks ago. This was all i needed to do. Our neighbor had a main break, it is still affecting our unit sending sediment our way. Glad i can do this anytime i need to now. Many thanks.

Great post. I had $400.00 worth of repairs and new parts (gas control valve and others) to get my unit back running in Nov 18. It started acting up again in Sep 19. A different tech came in and cleaned the inlet filter and the unit works perfectly. This leads be to believe it may have been the inlet filter all along.

My R75LS would fire up then go out with the hot water faucet or shower on... Cleaned the inlet filter as shown in Eric Halberg video; success! Burner stays lit and water stays hot; filter had a fair amount of stuff in it. This mechanically electrically inclined woman says thank you very much ! Esther J.

The filter housing seems to be made of the cheapest plastic available.
Mine shattered and the rest of the filter and plastic is stuck inside with no hope of ever getting it out.
Could you not have made the filter out of brass ?

have been getting error 10 and hot water shut off for months. tried everything else with the burner, blower fan, gas inlet etc. Have noticed less problems when running the faucet hot while taking a shower. Hope this works! Thanks!

This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

Two comments: 1) These filters are inexpensive. Never clean them, just replace them. Even though you may clean the mesh, the plastic is cheap and degrades quickly. It will become brittle before you know it. 2) Given the ease of de-scaling with vinegar, always descale at half the recommended time interval and replace the filter every time. Costs me $10 in vinegar and $10 for the filter and I do it every six months at my home. Easy peezy. My local plumber charged me $350 annually for this same procedure before I wisened up.

My water shut off valve won't shut; it looks so easy in the video. What's the secret?

Hi all, I'd like to empty the heater (rinnai infinity 11e) because I will disconnect electrical power during the next winter. Since I don't have additional valves installed, is it possibile to procede simply in the following way?
    1. Close the cold water entry valve
    2. Removing the filter
    3. Open the "hot" water from a water tap anywhere in the house
Will this procedure empty the heater from the filter hole?

Hi mate . I want to help me, was I have the water heater Old with tank water working well with gas pipe come from AGL company. When I install a new one hot water gas but without water tank Rinnai Infinity 2.6 does not work with the gas comes from AGL company I think because of poor gas pressure. When we use gas cylinder the heater water works well , but when we use the gas from the connecting pipes from AGL company do not work.
