I'll humbly clear this up. Benny's words in no way was glorifying street credibility and stret life. The decision he made to not ask Gibbs what was up is due to them not knowing each other so well. He listened to his instinct and realized as a grown man it isn't his duty to tell another man (one he barely has a personal history with) how to think and act professionally.
That situation wasn't a problem to Benny I other words. However, jealousy is a common trait in any place where there's inkling of success and hierarchy...what you said about street life applied to the industry as well. Another point Benny mentioned.
Lastly, you misinterpreted my acknowledgement of Benny's disposition to the matter at large. He played the bigger man in not allowing anything to escalate.
None of this is about street glorification just because your interpretation tells you that.
