- Well, that was sure an interview about potential DLC for Tears of the Kingdom, however... I ain't buying that for a second, there will be DLC for the game I'm calling it.

@@albatros4003After Trial of The Sword in BotW's DLC, the Master Sword has 60 base damage. So yeah, it's worse.

@@albatros4003You shouldn’t have to rely on other items to do decent damage with the Master Sword. If anything, they should make it better to compensate for the addition of Fuse because compared to literally any other weapon in this game it’s just a legendary stick
And you don’t even have to Fuse things to it to make it good, it’s literally just bad against everything that isn’t Ganondorf. Despite there being a million other things that trigger it’s more powerful state
Go anywhere in the Depths and the Master Sword randomly starts glowing, but you hit something with it and it does less Damage than two Bokoblin Arms stacked on top of each other. Zelda sacrificed her mind and body to spend a million years of self-imposed exile reviving _this_

Thing is that godesses can't swallow magatamas(cooler name for secret stones) since *they dont have a physical body* , not to mention the dragons are tangible and some people can see them.
The fight to release the other dragons would be a pretty sick dlc. Each dragon could have its own back story and numerous side quests related to their stories. Rain of Dragon Tears.

@@pggrnttheir names are similar to the golden goddesses and they guard the springs of the triforce and are in the regions that are named after the golden goddesses so they probably aren’t the ancient sages
We need a Master Mode and a Trial of the Sword. That’s all they have to do.
I dont think they will give us trial of the sword considering how powerful the master sword already is with fusing.

Well it’s still disappointing that the master sword, which is supposed to be the most powerful weapon lore wise is only a mid weapon. Even if you fuse something to it it’s not going to be the strongest in the game and that’s just inaccurate 🤷♀️

Honestly doesn’t bother me too much, anytime I heal I typically only eat meals that fully fill with additional hearts so I’m always topped off

transforming master cycle with 3 forms for water, land, and flight and it never breaks.
There needs to be a dlc that adds hardmode and a couple more sky islands.
maybe like a special temple in the depths or maybe on one of those said sky islands, possibly with a character we havent seen since i think twilight princess, a character so dark sunlight or lamps wont shine on them (you know who im talking about probably)

As a game devoloper, i have a much better perspective on these things than impatient fans who want everything now! and think its super easy and takes a year to make a game as grand as TOTK or BOTW2 if you wanna think of it that way....
Its fucking hard to make a game like TOTK, no matter how big your dev team is, budget, or what game engine you use. It can take weeks just to debug the simplest error. Sometjing like the auto build ability can also take months to make it properly functional the way you want. Not to mentione building the maps for sky, land, underground. Let the dev team take a break!!!

Santa Monica said they did all they could with God of War Ragnarok, but it's getting dlc in a few days.
I was thinking: After beating each temple you can go into the depths under it (or next to it for Yunobo and Mineru) there will be another chasm in the depths, when entering you will see the pop up: the final remains. At the bottom it will be the Blights but they will be decayed. If you go to it and click (A examine) then it will wake up and you will fight it, the reward for beating it is the botw champion abilities

I know they probably won’t like he just said but here is my idea for DLC
Link goes back in time with Zelda and has to fight bosses to save the sages just like in regional phenomena but in old hyrule. Once he saves all the sages and Rauru from the bosses, he receives a secret stone for his efforts that allows him to fuse up to 3 things on his sword, allows to ascend from farther away from an object, autobuild eliminates two of the zonaite costs, and ultra hand allows ten more attachments
can you understand how much game breaking the 3 things on his sword would be?
And old hyrule has more shrines and maybe a longer recall and more batteries and more powerful zonai devices.
ok but why would he have to save rauru? HE is sealed with ganondorf. And that would be a lame power from a secret stone
That would be incredibly game breaking, you could do like 300 damage in one hit with the scimitar of the seven and three Lyme saber horns

There was indeed a 6 year gap between botw and totk. However that broke the record for the longest gap between mainline Zelda games long way of saying it’s not the norm nor has it ever been

He said "at this time", not "at any time", so maybe in a few months or in a year we'll get dlc. OR, Totk will be ported to the Switch 2 and will be released with additional dlc later on in the port's lifespan much like Mk8

Everyone complaining that they are disappointed that there are no DLC. But when a game is release and stated to have a DLC in the future, they will complain and say that the game is released unfinished and a DLC is just a money grab.
This is why I feel like begging for DLC isn’t necessary a good look. It implies that the players weren’t satisfied with the game as it was
DLC is stupid and I’m happy they’re not doing it with this game.
You sure they confirmed a Direct for next week? Nintendo usually doesn't announce them until a day or two before, not a week in advance.
There were some leaks from some very credible sources that said that there’ll be a direct next week. I wouldn’t take it as 100% fact, but, they were right about things in the past. (They were also wrong some other times, so who really knows. xd)

Regardless of how credible they are, people really shouldn't say with confidence that a Direct is next week until there's a confirmation of a Direct.
Because while the leaker might have been credible in the past, doesn't mean that they can't be wrong.
(Especially is say, the leader is saying Grand Theft Auto V is getting announced for the Switch or a new mainline Pokémon game is getting announced during the Direct.)

I imagine if there was any DLC bosses, one would be Twinrova, seeing as younger versions of Koume and Kotake are shown standing behind Ganondorf in some of Zelda's memories wearing golden masks bearing a gem for their respective elements and sashes with their names stitched into them in Gerudo text.......Kind of a missed opportunity, if you ask me, showing them/having them in there as mere easter eggs, but doing NOTHING more with them! Granted, though, if the memories of the past occurred before _Ocarina of Time_ and _Breath of the Wild_ and _Tears of the Kingdom_ are in the same timeline, then, I guess it makes sense.....In that case, they didn't appear because The Hero of Time already dealt with them..........

I think they should have a DLC eith Kass returning, and exploring the origins if the other 3 dragons. Sync that with the main story line, and it can make the reveal of the Light Dragon's identity even more heartwrenching!
Please retire the botw formula, it was definitely worth playing but we need either a revamped return to form or something new after totk.
I hope they keep the physics engine and combat but i want them to reign in how much stuff you can do. I just want horses to be actually worthwile. Plus bring back items not only are they cool but they bring a sense of progression which the newest two games severly lack.
Also i hope they do something new and not just make Ocarina of time again. They did that for like fifteen years and im still mad about it.
Agreed. I want them to at least bring back the old dungeon formula where you get an item upgrade in each one, and each dungeon is like an hour long. And enough with the “get the terminals” mechanic it honestly makes the dungeons too linear and less creative.

@@I_am_box I’m sure Nintendo can find a way to make it work. But honestly I don’t care about the game being open world. Linear story progression is better than no progression at all, which is what Botw was. They gave you everything right off the bat and the entire world was open immediately. It’s awesome at the start but it gets boring after a while because nothing new is happening. Totk was better at it in some areas but every dungeon was the exact same and it got very dull after the 3rd or 4th one.
They did just cook up a game with infinite possibilities

This game is big enough as is! There is at least 40% more stuff to do in this game that botw.
If you go back to older titles like the adventure of link. The world in that game was divided by a great ocean so there were other lands beside the kingdom of hyrule on the main continent. Similar to the windwaker, it was noted that Sidon's fiancé was from a different colony of zoras not originally from zora's domain in the game. So there is a vast world out there which they can get inspiration from and not just be limited to the known kingdom of hyrule as we know it in game.
I think they fully plan on releasing DLC, and are just lying (because corporations do that)

Back when Ocarina 3D was released, people were asking when Majoras Mask 3D was coming because it seemed like a natural move to make. They told us they werent doing a Majoras Mask 3D, and they kept telling us this for years, only for them to eventually announce that its being released, but also that they started working on it as soon as they finished Ocarina 3D
So I'll take what the zelda developers say with the largest grain of salt

Currently out of play. Those are the ones when you get to the edge it says you can't go any further. Example, when we're on top of the Eldin Mountain and we look North we see these beautiful green fields and mountains. They could develop that.
“At this time” is the key phrase here. BOTW dlc didn’t come out for a hot second, I think they’re just moving on to other projects for the time being before returning to TOTK for DLC. Besides, TOTK has so much more content than BOTW, I wouldn’t be surprised if they take their time before doing any DLC for the sole purpose of giving people time to explore the game in every way they can.
They would do smart to make an entire game of revealing Zelda and link are siblings and that the reason Zelda mother is missing is because her mom was pregnant with pink, hid the pregnancy and went to the great deku tree to begin for protection for her child because maybe she already knew Ganondorf was coming. What if she made a deal to marry her to him at her birth and she wanted out of the deal. And the deku tree just lets link rebirth until he gets it right because it was his mothers dying wish.
I feel like the "not at this time" literally means what he says. Maybe he means that the team isn't done yet and perhaps the dlc would release In a few months to a year? It just doesn't make sense not to include the master cycle. The ancient bridle set or even the master sword trials. Maybe those events will allow the player to achieve maximum hearts and stamina
One more way they could still reuse the Hyrule map would be to do it like Red Dead Redemption 2 where it is the same map, but with an added region. Like what’s going on across that chasm north of Hyrule? Let us go over there next time?
I definitely think they either got bored or burnt out. ToTK is undeniably a really good game, but compared to BoTW I finished the game with a sense of disappointment. It's a very ambitious game but it feels like they lost heart for the project halfway through the game.
There are so many possibilities for things they could've added to the base game or as DLC, so it doesn't make sense to me when they say they did everything they could with this version of Hyrule.

See, the thing that bothers me isn’t that we’re not getting DLC, it’s that their statement that they’ve done all they can simply isn’t true lore-wise. There’s so many more plot points they can go through and expand on. The only way I can see that being right is they’re making a game involving a new area of the world at the same time that goes through and covers all of it, from the dragons to Kass to everything else
Why can’t we just appreciate this amazing game they gave us? We don’t need dlc. Sure I’d rather have dlc but I’m not gonna complain about it.
