I honestly did not expect the Covenant to do so well against the Flood at the beginning. It was a pleasant surprise seeing them do that well before falling. Then you have the Spec Ops and Zealot ones dunking on everything thrown at them. The Wraith did help a lot at the end too though.

Needlers, plasma grenades and energy swords were all stronger in the first game.

What does it mean "paralleled/unparalleled ai"?

@@bogdankoziy5962 Parallel lines are two lines that are symmetrical and never cross. They are equal in length and distance from one another at all times.
To call something unparallelled means nothing comes close to equaling it 100%. It may do some things better or worse but never quite to the same overall package.
That is what I mean when I say the Halo 1 AI is unmatched. Its overall package of behaviors and the personality that Bungie put behind both the Marines and the Covenant was never matched by the rest of the games.

@@redspyke8227 Thank you for explanation, i like ai,s unpredictable behaving. FEAR(2005) is the game id love to reccomend to play. In the context of interesting ai, many treet it as one of the best aIs among fps.

I always forget the gold elites in CE always charge you because their ai tells them to come up and melee even though they shouldnt be able to without a sword

I would say that the AI in this game is smarter than in the second and third one as far as the covies are concerned, but something to take into account is that the flood infectors in this game don't actually infect the living or the dead when they attack them. They just damage them.;
