imagine you are Iman, Mrs. David Bowie, and people are eternally playing videos/songs with him and Ms. Dorsey. How would you react? Don't get me wrong, I believe Mr. Bowies, and Ms. Dorseys 30+ year musical relationship/friendship is a magical thing. She was the luckiest young woman in Philly, the year she met Bowie. He is lucky as well, he had someone to , musically, have his back. The music tells the story. Those were more or less happy days, I wish we could go back, but we can't. Point being, he married Iman, not Gail Ann, and that should tell the story. The romance of the Bowie/Dorsey live shows is real, don't you just feel GOOD watching them sing? There are things we just do not know, their personal business, and, that is how it is supposed to be. Hey, leave them kids alone! gz
Sigh. . Gail is gay and has a long term relationship with a girl called Kate who sings in another band. What a cruel guy Bowie would've been if he really blatantly loved up another woman on stage in public. They were just messing about in the show. There was no 'romance'. This montage makes it look like they were always at it on stage, but they weren't. They're just a few sillies stuck together to make a suggestive doco. In fact Gail didn't play on any of Bowie's studio albums at all (except Toy and later The Next Day), She was mostly just in the touring band (and a couple of benefit concerts) where boredom sets in heavy after all those repeat shows and travelling . She had a parallel career as a session player - and a private life. Gail said in an interview that Bowie had been her mentor and helped her develop her talents, as he did for many performers and bands. This particular band toured together on and off for a long time and were all great friends.
