Don't worry about it, it all adds to the dynamics of the track. It's quite a hard song to get absolutely bang on as it has a lot of subtle nuances. Check out Josh Steffan's version if you haven't already.

Neat cover and nice playing! I'd love to hear your Infinite Dreams cover.
I don't know why SIT was such a cold and spiritless album after Powerslave. A lot of the elements were there, they were crazy good musicians but everybody in the band was in a dark place. They faked their way through and still made a fairly classic Maiden album with some stunning highlights.
And... some crap, like the cornball chorus 'Run, on and on, the looooonlineeeeesss of the long distance runner' - I was like are you kidding me Steve, this is a Maiden song? I had the LP on the turntable the same week it came out and I was a bit puzzled. They lost me for a while...
