Falco Lombardi Well, it was not exeptional, the message was not that great... Idk, it's just that compared to the Lion King for exemple, or even Frozen, it was not that good
+Uranium This is the movie that made it possible for Disney to make Lion King, Aladdin, Frozen- basically it ushered in the new age of great animation. Before this the animated movie was dead (other than Who Framed Roger Rabbit). The songs are top notch (again, this led to pretty much all cartoon movies now being musicals). Little Mermaid also brought about Beauty and the Beast, the first animated movie nominated for Best Picture (not best animated picture but Best Picture).

I recently saw The Little Mermaid musical. This scene was THE BEST. It was so colorful and exciting, and the actor who played Sebastian had an amazing voice and great bounce in his step in all the right places. Plus, the costumes were FANTASTIC. Ariel, Flotsam, and Jetsam were on HEELYS. It was overall an EXTRAORDINARY show. I definitely recommened it to anyone in the Pittsburgh, PA area. If you don't live around here, I feel really bad for you.
And then he finds that Ariel swam away... so much for the song.

I have been to Disney recording studios in California. While I was there we recorded fantastic music from some of the most popular movies. Such as dinosaurs, Tangled and frozen. The best part about being where the magic of music is in that park is you don't practice. They hand you the paper and you must be ready to feel the music you are going to play, so well in fact that you have to do it first try. I will tell you this I had so much fun listing to the sounds of the joyful music while I was there. Unfortunately I was not able to play this piece but it sounds like it was a riot.
