The Challenger Scatpack 392 is an experienced driver at navigating traffic at a high rate of speed (150+mph) while the Charger Pursuit Police car almost got into an accident trying to keep up & catch the much faster Challenger. That's the thing I don't get is the risk that the police take by chasing a car and the danger to the public over something like a license plate or just the police wanting to pull someone over is fantastic to me

Punishing the registered owner of a vehicle for something their car was seen doing is like lining someone up for a firing squad because their bloody knife was found 13 miles away at the scene of a murder, and someone else was holding it when the police arrived, but it wasn't their knife, so they couldn't have done it.

Even if the police cars had 392’s they would still be at a significant disadvantage. The police packages add a significant amount of weight.

No. A stock scat can do that with ease. I bet all he had was exhaust work and maybe a CAI. It's 485bhp stock. Those simple mods easily push it over 500bhp. And they have a solid suspension from the factory. The pursuit has 370bhp around the same weight. With a good cop suspension.

I drive lil sisters 06 Charger RT she sold me cheap with less than 90k on it so she could buy a Forester. It scared her and she had trouble with the dimensions and size of it. Awesome car, seems quick for such a heavy pig. and is faster than my Dart ever was on its best day but it was a 318 with some tweeks, still have it too but it's retired.
I kinda think her hubby talked her into the Charger but good for me now.

The 392 engine is sure a powerhouse! The 1st person just flat walked away from the pursuit vehicle like it had an anchor tied to its ass. I'll bet they jumped off the freeway when they got out of sight of the police.
2nd video with older Charger either had a well-tuned 6.1L engine or a 6.4 upgrade/swap done, it gapped the pursuit vehicle as well and lost him bigtime.
I know, my '23 300C 6.4L SRT car sure hauls some serious ass when you step on the loud pedal! It is conservatively rated @ 485 HP but feels more like an even 500 to me. A 5.7 powered vehicle, such as what many LE agencies use, just will not catch one of these cars, radio or no radio. Waiting to see one of these agencies build a haul-ass fast 6.4L pursuit vehicle and surprise someone in the process.
Even if they did build one it would be relatively slower and still get outran by a regular 6.4 or 6.2 still due to its weight, equipment, wheels, armor etc

That first driver knew his vehicle and put in serious skill in seconds to ghost that joker.
When will they learn? Once you lose sight of him, and you pass a few exits, he's either got off the highway or just flat out-ran your ass! It's nothing to be ashamed of. 100 hp or knowing where you are going and it's game over.
