Soldiers tend to have some close-combat training. They also tend to be in shape and regularly work out. And a surprise attack may well trigger training where you act first, because otherwise you are dead. Great choice of target there, Karen. I've heard that one before & it went on about 3 years until the older lady died. It turned into a g-ma\g-daughter relationship. Socializing & dinners & a nice perfect story.💕
The last story was so cute! As much as I love hearing about entitled jerks getting their just desserts, it's nice to hear these nice stories once in a while to restore my faith in humanity.
You’d be surprised how many of us public school educators hear the line “my taxes pay your salary, so you for work me” from entitled parents. I have to stop my eyes from rolling all the way to the back of my head when I hear that nonsense. 🙄
Yeah, no. Public educators are increasingly becoming deluded into thinking their authority trumps that of the parents of children, outside of the narrow confines of parental abuse of children. Your field is filled with iconoclasts whom often stray from their assigned duties with zero accountability, with a higher rate of sexual offenses against children than the priesthood or any other career, and all too often deny any accountability for actions committed or allowed. I live two counties away from a case that made national headlines where a school board covered up the anal rapes of multiple school girls because it made their personal political leanings look bad. This is not an isolated incident, and it's trending upwards in frequency. So, I say this as a parent who loves their kids and now has to worry every day that their own educators will attempt to betray their trust, suck it up, buttercup.

Yeah, and it doesn't matter how big you are, or how smaller and weaker the other person looks. If you attack them, they can react viciously, and you never know if they have training. Big guy learned something. Training always beats having muscles, even more when they are just gym mass, anyone with correct training can bring down big guys by punching fast in the correct place (like the throat), it doesn't need much strength to do that, there's lots of weak points in the human physiology that are weak regardless of your size.
Last story... Not only share coupons, but share the elderly lady's history. The elderly have lived through so much that the younger people have not, and it is good to get those stories while they are still on this Earth. What a great story.
I heard an old African proverb the other day.... "When an old person dies, a library burns." I wish I had the foresight to have talked more with my deceased relatives.
As a paper boy back in 70's early 80's when you still went door to door at first of month to collect I'd save my older customers for end of night just because of the stories and history. Did yardwork on the side for half dozen elderly ladies. Don't imagine that to many kids have that opportunity anymore to appreciate.
My grandparents day cared me and my little brother while my mother worked. I sucked up all the stories from them living though the great depression and stories from my great gran(grandmas mother. Grandpa parents passed way before I was born)and how she lived while growing up in Germany. I wish I'd had the forethought to video tape them(it was the 80s) I'm planning on letting my grandkiddos video tape me cooking/teaching them their favorite meals that I cook. I was so against being videoed but I was diagnosed with cancer and am 3 years clear, and started thinking. Id give anything to have a video of cooking chicken soup with my grandmother or the hours I tagged along after my grandfather fishing and him doing general chores. My gran and great gran were very good gardeners(mainly flowers) and my grand father also gardener.(mainly veg) There will times when the smell of a rose blooming reminds me of grandma or I catch a fish and open my tackle box and that peculiar smell that fishing tackle boxes get and instantly my grandpa fishing with me, the little girl of a billion "why papa?" Pops into my mind. Little gardening tricks will randomly pop in too. Always miss my grandparents. I strive to be as loved by my grandkiddos as I loved my grandparents.
1st story: I too also hate being recognized outside of work. It’s more of a “I know you!”, “hey I’m one of your regulars!” Or honk at me to get my attention while trying to walk my dog just to say hi. Please, leave me alone, I’m on my day off and I just want some peace. I do recognize which ones are my regulars though but it’s the random ones I can never recognize.
No, only sometimes it is used for that, but anything can be used for wrongful termination. Business change are rightful termination, your contract is not forever. This is basically the correct and legal way to do it. Sometimes you just need to fire a lot of people, its just business. Want security forever, go work for the government. For a lot of reasons businesses can and will rotate persons. Like, the market changed, the business was sold, or merged, or even dissolved, the share holders hold their vote to change things. Jobs are not guaranteed forever, it just a contract, any of the parts can leave. If you can't leave the company, that's slavery. If the company can't let go of you, that's called socialism (because you work for the government, and government owns everything, so you never lose the job, even if the job is useless and there's no demand, wonder why socialism doesn't work...). No right minded business owner would ever put their business in such chains, except for tenuring (in academy), or security reasons, both which is because of knowledge you hold that are never to be released to the public.

I am a women's self defense instructor...Ladies, ALWAYS aim for the throat. A karate chop or a balled up fist works wonders when you are in an uncomfortable position
Yep! Throat punch! I win! lol. My parents found out that I'm a fight not flight person when I was 12 and my stepbrother (who was at the time, 19 and twice my size) decided it would be funny to see how I would handle him jumping out and scaring me when I was walking home from a friend's house down the street. He jumped out from behind our 50 ft. blue spruce and I punched him and kept swinging. I bloodied his nose and he yelled, "It's me! It's *insert brother's name*!" So, then I kicked him a couple times in the shins. LOL.
My father's greatest act of love was teaching his little girl how to defend herself. The throat punch was like, #1 on the list. Below the belt works MOST of the time, but in some cases, it makes them extremely angry and more violent. A throat punch guarantees a win, because suddenly they have more important things, like trying to breathe, than to deal with than you. (FYI, #2 was "stab a man and he can keep coming. Shatter his knee and he goes down and stays down." Number two because it tends to be harder to get a good angle on a kneecap than it is the throat.) Dad passed away a few years ago, but he while he was alive, he told me that he would pay all of the bail monies to get me out of jail if it came to light that I utterly destroyed my attacker, even if it meant that my self defense was lethal, because it was better for his daughter to be alive than dead in an alleyway somewhere. ... I miss the hell outta him TBH.

I love these stories, I had a similar encounter but at a place I actually worked, I worked for a company called the Good Guy's an electronic store in the early 2000s. I was an inhouse warehouse employee and part of our duties were to sweep the floor and clean up the store, one day I was sweeping the sales floor and a younger teenage kids says excuse me do you work here and his friend who was with him said "no dumbass he's just a customer who likes to sweet the floor of course he works here", needless to say I was laughing my ass off when they walked away.
Seriously. If anyone ever asked me for a youtuber that reads stories, I'd recommend this one. I like hearing the crazy stories because there are a LOT of Karens in my smallish city and I feel it prepares me for the eventual day that I have to deal with one. Hearing a wholesome story at the end calms my nerves and restores my faith in humanity. This is the main reason why I'd recommend this channel to people. I know there isn't always a wholesome one at the end, but it's so nice when there is. I think Dark Fluff and Reddit Brew are my favorite youtubers who read from reddit.
Story 5 is so sweet. I wish I had a shopping buddy. I had an full on anxiety attack the last time I was at the store. It was right before the snowstorm and I unfortunately was out of groceries and all the city seemed to be there like they were stocking up for the entire winter. People were rude and pushy and Im disabled but don't look it. I was lucky enough that my son came with me on that trip and he just saw my n95 mask deflating like a balloon and full again as I was starting to hyperventilate and my face was red. I was so lucky he was able to get the bare minimum I had in my cart to the car while I sat on a bench next to a nice old woman who helped me regain my composure. I should also mention I was in a lot of physical pain as well. If that sweet old lady didn't help me ( which I find ironic bc I should be helping the sweet old ladies out) and if my son didn't do all the work for me I wouldn't have made it to my car and they probably would have had to call an ambulance for me. My son had put all the stuff in the car and came back in to help me walk out and I was actually doing a lot better by the time he had came back in. He had looked worried when he went out with my stuff that I might not make it out. I dont remember what she had said to me but after I dropped my son off at his place and went home I was able to put my stuff in my wagon and bring it in by myself without any problems. I'd give anything to have that lady as a shopping buddy and I hope I see her there again bc she helped me so much. I was so lucky that day last week. I rarely go to the store bc I have nobody to go with and I cant count on my body to handle getting through it. Just having someone with me to make sure nobody knocks me down or to help me lift something is a blessing.
Gym Bro Story: Actually, Gym Bro was rather lucky... OP could have instinctively aimed for something easier to reach when he threw that punch... Specifically, about 3 inches below Gym Bro's belt if you get my drift... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
Throat punch is actually worse as it can cause permanent damage, or hit wrong it can damage or collapse the larynx which is pretty bad considering that means you can't breath.

I love ending the videos with a wholesome one. We’ve all gone a bit feral over the last 2 years…a good reminder of how we’re supposed to treat each other…
It's a guilty pleasure of mine to find naysayer comments and go "Actually, I've encountered people EXACTLY like this. It's not even a stretch of my years of experience to find my own personal story of a similar encounter."
We don’t doubt it, it’s just it sometimes follows a storytelling format that ends a bit too seamlessly, and there are so many fake stories that float around that you can’t be sure what is real and what isint.
I enjoy both the wholesome stories as well as the Karen's stories. I've had to deal with so many Karens that I absolutely love the stories, but the wholesome ones are pure gold

I'd like to add to what you said about taxes that pay the soldiers to do the job for what their hired soldiers ALSO pay their taxes so basically, in that story OP could have answered "yep, and I pay taxes too, so I work for me, goodbye !"
The guy who grabbed OP in the Target should have considered that even "smallish guys" could have training in some kind of Martial Arts, and can do more damage than just a punch in the throat. Having a bad day does not, in any way, allow you to attack someone else with no consequences. It's a good thing the attacker got some therapy, and he's lucky he didn't get any charges laid on him.
The soldier story: my husband is an army veteran and his first job out of the army was a security guard. Somehow we got on the conversation of self defense and I asked if he knew how to fight a woman because it’s a whole different ballgame. So we stood up and I told him that I wasn’t going to go easy on him so he would be prepared. I had the upper hand for the first 30 seconds because he was a little shocked at all the clawing and scratching but then he body slammed me, got my arms behind my back and laid on top of me. I tried hard to thrash around but I could not move at all. I suggest not starting a fight with a soldier or veteran lol
I think he was starting slow, as he REALLY didn't want to hurt his wife. If he didn't care, that exercise would have been much shorter. And I can totally imagine how he felt. I worked in an office building with a Target store on the ground floor. When I was 13 and in 8th grade, my mom, younger brother and I moved from my grandparents' house to an apartment. My mom had gotten divorced earlier that year while I was in 7th and we had to move fairly fast to my grandparents' house. The apartment we moved into was across from a grocery store called save a lot and a little discount store we refer to as the green store (this was before pot was legal where I lived and there weren't "green" stores everywhere like there is now) the grocery store was just kind of a normal place we'd get groceries from sometimes but the green store was it's own little community. I'm now 28 and I have moved away but at least once a week up until about 14 months ago and even now when I go back to my hometown I would go there. When I was young my brother (2 years younger than me) would literally go in there and just browse for hours. It's the best place to get candy and cheap things like things for as low as a quarter! Iver the last 15 years I've gotten to know the employees and they've watched us grow up and it's been so fun to go back amd see how the store has grown and changed. Recently I went back and they got new owners. I was so surprised! Especially since someone had just drove a car into the front window and there was natural light on that side but when I walked in there wasn't any. The employees are some of the same people that have been there for 15 years and actually remember my brother and I as the two sweet as can be kids that would come in everyday. It kept us out of trouble and sometimes we would help with small tasks. I love that little store. My mom still shops there sometimes. While I was in college I would go there to get snacks to hand out to my friends and they were always so happy to hear about the store.
The last story of the person helping granny shopping is very inspiring. But i hope karens watching this video won't take advantage of other people's kindness. Or I'll be karener than karens! LoL 😁

Soldier (Throws Karen tits-down to the floor) "No, I OWN YOU!" 😡
Soldiers tend to have some close-combat training. They also tend to be in shape and regularly work out.
And a surprise attack may well trigger training where you act first, because otherwise you are dead.
Great choice of target there, Karen. Next time, jump into the enclosure of a big cat … and ask for the tiger or lion manager! That will go well …
I just hope nobody will blame the cats.
The solider pays taxes as well lol.
My uncle a retired cop when he was on patrol always kept several quarters in his pocket just to toss at anyone who would say "I pay your salary." He would just toss a quarter into their lap and say "Here's your refund." Yeah many called and complained they kept telling him not to do it and he kept doing it.
The German soldier story: When Karen says "you work for me", soldier could have said "Well, if you want, I can shoot you!"
I would have PAID to have seen her face at that
Hearing Fluff say him and Steveo love you is a highlight to my day. I love you and Steveo too Fluff. I hope everyone is having a great day/evening/night! Peace, hugs and love everyone!
Yeah, mine too!
I personally like the good wholesome stories as well, and all of the stories are good, I like to see “karens” getting sweet karma, love the stories you do.
I was an evil little kid. (About the time I was 6) I'd pester people who were red in the face upset or stressed to the point their knuckles were white.
Especially interrupting when someone was yelling.
Excuse me.
Excuse me.
Excuse me!
Can I have a hug?
I've heard that one before & it went on about 3 years until the older lady died. It turned into a g-ma\g-daughter relationship. Socializing & dinners & a nice perfect story.💕
Loved that last wholesome story. Sometimes ya just need something that will restore a little bit of faith in humanity.
The crt taught now is mind boggling and parents have a right to know what you teach
@@halfpintbum CRT is a law school course. It has never been taught in primary education 🙄
@@tecianicole maybe not officially but its tenants absolutely have and are
@@passingrando6457 Gave you a thumbs down because your tangent was stupid and not on topic. Stick with the topic and get off the education and educator bashing, ya bully. -.-
I honestly get disappointed in people when they refuse to press charges.
same, just that story had a good turn. After his father died, I doubt he'd want to serve jail time. Tho he did man up and seek help after the altercation.
Why do the OPs often refuse to press charges? They should do so anyway. If you give Karens and Kens an inch, they'll take a mile.
@@lancerevell5979 What a great and insightful proverb. I am going to add that one to my 'memory proverbs'.
A person who does not know history is condemned to repeat it.
I wish I'd had the forethought to video tape them(it was the 80s)
I'm planning on letting my grandkiddos video tape me cooking/teaching them their favorite meals that I cook.
I was so against being videoed but I was diagnosed with cancer and am 3 years clear, and started thinking. Id give anything to have a video of cooking chicken soup with my grandmother or the hours I tagged along after my grandfather fishing and him doing general chores.
My gran and great gran were very good gardeners(mainly flowers) and my grand father also gardener.(mainly veg)
There will times when the smell of a rose blooming reminds me of grandma or I catch a fish and open my tackle box and that peculiar smell that fishing tackle boxes get and instantly my grandpa fishing with me, the little girl of a billion "why papa?" Pops into my mind.
"Restructuring" is just a way for companies to fire people without the risk of being sued for wrongful termination.
Story 1: Throw your own trash away. Don't ask employees to do it for you.
Also, some of this sounds a _bit_ too dramatic, but I don't think it's fake.
sometimes fact is stranger than fiction.
I only fully believed 1 story on this entire channel, and that's because it came with an article. I assume everything else is fiction. But it's fun.
@@thalinororcbreaker2840 yeah I’ve come to accept that a lot of reddit stories are quite larger than life and are quite exaggerated and follow the formula of Karen demand, Karen take, Karen regret, Karen flee/attack/ arrested/ charged/ Charges dropped. You know what I mean, when you see the pattern, you can’t unsee it.
Story 4: The "I pay taxes" argument is one of the most meaningless arguments because everyone that is old enough to does. Otherwise, they'd be in jail.
You pay your taxes? Good! Doesn’t give you any perks.
Yes actually Paying your Taxes DOES give you a Perk...
You don't get Financially Ruined by Late Payment Penalties and/or stay out of Prison for Tax Evasion...
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
That's the thing. The military and government employees still pay taxes too so that insignificant amount of money that they get from one civilian is countered by what they basically pay themselves in taxes.
@@infinitesimal9001 No kidding...and the statement the just because I pa Taxes means you work for me is Insane...

"I could stand on my property, take off a shoe, and hit the store with it."
That's so specific that I feel OP has actually done just that
I loved the last story. Shopping Buddy. That’s nice & sweet & she made a friend.
The last story made me smile so much. OP literally made a whole new friend just being kind 💕
Shatter his knee and he goes down and stays down." Number two because it tends to be harder to get a good angle on a kneecap than it is the throat.)
Dad passed away a few years ago, but he while he was alive, he told me that he would pay all of the bail monies to get me out of jail if it came to light that I utterly destroyed my attacker, even if it meant that my self defense was lethal, because it was better for his daughter to be alive than dead in an alleyway somewhere. ... I miss the hell outta him TBH.

I think your channel is more balanced with the occasional wholesome stories. Hearing about Karens is fun but it’s nice to remember there are other noteworthy people out there.
Another reason to NEVER grab a Soldier is EVERY Military I'm aware of trains it's people in the Basics of Disassembling their fellow Man (AKA Hand-to-Hand Combat) and they train the Marines/Special Forces in the Finer Points of Taking their fellow Man apart at the seams (AKA Advanced Hand-to-Hand Combat/Martial Arts)...
So, as Karen discovered, grabbing a Soldier is a quick trip to the corner of Pain St. and Agony Lane in Downtown Hurtsville...
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
Honestly from a former Soldier, most get taught just enough to get ykur butt kicked in a bar fight. Most of the military isn't infantry
@@oldmanjim2376 I was assigned to AFRTS, with no AIT That didn't stop me from knocking down four officers and an E8 during my time on active duty. I also told off two MPs and some officers who got in between me and my mission critical work.
One officer had two stars. A month after I knocked him down he was back at my base with a Letter of Commendation, and my SP4 pins as I was promoted. 😁
One would think that if there is anyone you leave alone it's soldiers. Karen had to learn the hard way that not everyone will put up with her crap. Hope she enjoyed her free military facial.
That old lady story made me smile. Thank you!
I work at Target. Don't touch me. I'm a purple belt and will put you on the floor.
Last time someone grabbed me I did a wrist grab break, while pivoting away from a disgruntled couple that was making an outrageous price change demand (Over $80 difference)

@@hellmark6666 absolutely 💯
The last story is just so heartwarming
That last story made me cry. I love wholesome stories. 😢 ❤️
Story 5 is a nice example of how people should act.
I love that you end on wholesome "I don't work here" stories. They're the best.
That last story was awesome. In this world we live in today it would definitely be good to hear more of those.
The last story was my favorite. We need to hear more like that one. ❤
I love to hear of/participate in random acts of kindness. Good for the soul...✌
Gym Bro Story: Actually, Gym Bro was rather lucky...
OP could have instinctively aimed for something easier to reach when he threw that punch...
Specifically, about 3 inches below Gym Bro's belt if you get my drift...
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
With Gym Bros that'd be a really small target...
Throat punch is actually worse as it can cause permanent damage, or hit wrong it can damage or collapse the larynx which is pretty bad considering that means you can't breath.
One advantage to being in a wheelchair is that my elbows are at THAT level on most men.
Never lay hands on someone if you're not prepared for the consequences. Put hands on me and I promise you will regret it.
The last story was very heartwarming.

I love the Karen stories and I also appreciate the good stories of people helping people. We don’t hear enough about that.
I love ending the videos with a wholesome one. We’ve all gone a bit feral over the last 2 years…a good reminder of how we’re supposed to treat each other…
That was sweet that the man apologized and paid for his breakfast. My condolences on his grandfather.
"I also pay taxes and am thus self-employed"
Anyone who doubts the stories probably hasn't spent much time in retail.
"I also pay taxes and am thus self-employed" That is so great! I'll have to pass it to my public employee friends. 😆
Soldier...."I also pay taxes, so YOU have to obey ME!" 😠
It's a guilty pleasure of mine to find naysayer comments and go "Actually, I've encountered people EXACTLY like this. It's not even a stretch of my years of experience to find my own personal story of a similar encounter."
We don’t doubt it, it’s just it sometimes follows a storytelling format that ends a bit too seamlessly, and there are so many fake stories that float around that you can’t be sure what is real and what isint.

13:55 honestly, I’m really glad that the guy apologized to OP. It shows psychological growth, especially since he did it unprovoked. No, what he did wasn’t right, but he accepted that he was in the wrong, and went to counciling for it. Yeah, he was in the wrong, but he turned it around. Hopefully he and OP are doing better
Kia Ora From New Zealand. I Just Absolutely Love "The German Soldier" Story & "The Helpful Customer" Story .... Two Totally Great Stories.
I'd like to add to what you said about taxes that pay the soldiers to do the job for what their hired
soldiers ALSO pay their taxes
so basically, in that story OP could have answered "yep, and I pay taxes too, so I work for me, goodbye !"
You don't hurt the woman you love, your rather get hurt yourself.
My recommendation: never let him go treat him well and keep him until the end.
@@realulli we’ve been married for 12 years and I don’t plan on ever letting him go 😊 When he body slammed me, he picked me up and carried me a few steps to a bed that was nearby. I had a similar situation at Target while I was wearing a red shirt and khaki pants but when person grabbed me, he wound up getting Arrested. My red shirt says state police on both sleeves and police firearms instructor on the left chest. Don't put your hands on anyone in an aggressive and hostile manner.

OP should have pressed charges. I certainly would have. Kudo's to OP for standing up to his bully of a boss. She got what she deserved. I have to say I giggled a little to loud with the Karen vs Soldier, that was just funny. The last story was perfect. I agree with you that the wholesome stories are so needed sometimes. I was brought up also to help those in need without reward. OP got the best shopping buddy ever. Love your stories DF
A literal throat punch! 👏👏👏 Awesome!
In all the time I've been watching this kind of video, I've never come across one where the OP simply says, "Okay, go ahead. Get me fired. I hate this job anyway." Why doesn't anyone EVER say this? It's the first thing that would occur to me. Just agree with her and watch her either melt in confusion or go off on a ridiculous rampage that'll only make her look stupid. Take the bully up on her offer and see how far she gets! :D
When some idiot that outranked me in the US Army would piss me off I would ask, "What are you going to do, send me to Alaska?" We were at the worst and coldest base in the Army. 😁
For a time I was a Greeter at a chain hunting/fishing store. One of my duties counting the number of customers per hour using a hand clicker. Quite a few of the customers said "must be nice not having to work. My response was to offer them my clicker and my job. Chasing them a few feet.
