Story one is the perfect example as to why violence should not only be seen as an acceptable answer to certain situations, but a heavily encouraged one.
Yes. Especially when the old hag went the extra mile to basically tell her it was a good thing her child died. I can't imagine any prosecutor ever pressing charges for decking the old hag even if her jaw got broken and no jury would convict. That kind of language is considered fighting words.
Either stupid or insane. It's so sad the stigma around mental health in the US. Most health insurance companies won't cover mental health care and it really shows in this country
@@camwyn256There is a certain stigmatism around mental health problems overall, I believe. However, since the US does not have universal health coverage and as you say insurance will often not cover it, it has become an increasing issue in the States. Add to that, the fact that they closed down a lot of mental health facilities in the Reagan years (I think that was when it happened not sure) many people who had been living in those places ended up on the streets or in places not equipped to handle them.
You stop respecting people just because they're older than you once you turn 18. Once you're legally an adult, everyone is a peer and equal until they give you a reason to think otherwise. That woman deserves absolutely no respect. Ever.
@@zero00044 agreed anyone harassing you asking for some item after.told them you don't work then try pulling your clothes will be dealt with extreme prejudice.
Old Karen:"HOW DISRESPECTFUL! WHO RAISED YOU?!" Me:"Clearly someone who taught me how to tell who does and doesn't work somewhere and that you have to show manners to get manners..."
some one once told me that Respect is not gained it is earned. That old lady is crazy remindes me of the crazy Rasicst old lady whit the Tasser and the dog.
Last story: Anyone who tries to get someone fired by throwing out false accusations needs to be permanently banned from that place. No exceptions. Better yet, report them to the police for harassment, so there's a police record on them.
I would have told the EM to call the cops. Heck, I’d even pick up the library phone, dial 911 for her, and hand it to her so she can make her official accusations. Then just sit back and wait for the police to show up. The EM would end up being the one being arrested for making a false police report and misusing 911. I don’t know why this EM keeps insisting on getting the video footage from the security cameras though. Does she really think that security cameras record what she says happens and not what actually happens?
@@gregwalterscheid Doesn't have to be anonymous, send it to the school district along with the e-mails showing that this Karen has a pattern of harassing people. It wouldn't surprise me if it turned out she was also harassing people where she works. Her child's reactions suggest that this isn't the first time she tried this crap.
@@Thundarr100 something tells me she thought that by demanding it, the staff would say "No need, we're just gonna blindly take your word for it like a bunch of morons!"
@@kisstune demanding to check the cameras for an assault that didn't happen. So sad the stigma around mental health. This "woman" really needs to seek help for her issues
@@camwyn256 Sadly when your in a MUST report position it doesn't matter if you know it to be BS or not you are still required to report it or you risk your position/license(s) if not criminal charges to boot.
Yea, most entitled people will make stuff up and get nervous when cctvs are brought up, but she has to believe what she's saying happened, it seems like she needs medical attention cause she's definitely not all there mentally
My best guess is that she was hoping there was no cctv or that it didn’t cover that area or the cameras were for show. That she could get away with lies because it was her word against the librarian’s. Just a guess though.
How do people not understand that "civil servant" does NOT mean you serve the public at all times?! Expecting a librarian to help you in a store is like expecting an off-duty police officer to come put out your house when it's on fire. 1) A librarian is NOT a public servant. 2) A public servant has no obligation to serve when they are not working.
Well...I mean if it's a police officer than I think it is their job to at least do something. I'm quite certain that they can't just sit around watch, but I get your point.
@@Fudgeanimates My grandpa was a cop and would get involved with police stuff when he was off-duty from time to time if he just happened to be around when something went down. I don't think he'd have been able to put out a fire on his own, though.
@@olinewright6877 yes, bizarre isn't it? The one that's most supposed to be a public servant, the politician, they never seem to expect to cater to them.
Karen in story #3 actually said "check the cameras" knowing full well that the cameras would disprove what she was claiming. That's some next level delusion.
I don't recall OP writing that she snapped at the old bitch (old bitch - my words, not OP's), however, it does depend on the delivery ..... it it was in a snarky tone, ok I can see where a mild admonition might be warranted, BUT, if it was said in a calm and matter-of-fact manner without "attitude", then the warning was unwarranted and should have been protested in writing.
I've had supervisors do that to me, and I've had to bite my tongue to avoid a written warning for insubordination. I once had a co-worker who got fired for calling out a gay guy that was hitting on him. He said " back off faggot", and the guy took that to HR, not telling HR that he had made an un-solicited pass at an ARMED SECURITY OFFICER. The same guy had made a pass at me, which was witnessed by several fellow officers, but I just said "sorry, but you're not my type". He asked what type I preferred, to which I said "female, preferably the one I'm married to". This was back before LGBTQ+ even existed, but everybody was required to go through that b.s. crap everyone knows as "Sensitivity Training". Funny how it's forced on the straight community but it's optional for everyone else.
What honestly is wrong with people?!? 1st story: throws brand new clothing in food and not enough dignity to walk away when obviously wrong. 2nd story: a man honestly thinks it's okay to put their hands and get fully physical with a complete stranger. 3rd story: A crazy with their own vendetta against someone they don't know from Adam. I wonder when my nuclear Karen situation will happen. To be honest I hope it never does.
It's so sad how much mental health care is stigmatized in the US. Many health care providers don't cover mental health care at all and it really shows in this country
@@camwyn256 Part of that stems from the fact that involuntary hospitalization is essentially a felony conviction. You lose the right to self-defense, most likely lose the right to vote, likely lose your job and will be unable to secure gainful employment later on... Further, on a more personal note, a close friend voluntarily checked into the mental hospital during a moment of crisis. Said hospital refused to allow her to sign out, and ignored a court order to allow my friend to sign out. The police department essentially had to break her out under the court's orders, and that's not even an unusual occurrence in our mental care system. There was even a big news story a decade-ish ago, when some healthy journalists signed themselves into mental care facilities to report on conditions undercover, and couldn't sign themselves out. At least one of the doctors made the claim, in court, that lying to get into the mental facility was a clear sign that the journalist was unwell anyways. The judge was not amused, and did not accept that argument. The end result was that most of the journalists were abused and traumatized by their time in the US mental care system. I'm not sure that any truly recovered from it, now that I think about it, since that story got pushed out of the spotlight unnaturally fast. Our mental care system has no checks and balances against doctors & staff abusing patients, and might even support it. All that does is create a repeat or permanent customer, so why would abuse be cracked down on behind closed doors?
The director of the library should have done this. Complain to the same level as himself at her workplace, "WTF is that employee of yours doing harassing my people?!?". Probably much more effect...
That whack job harassing the poor librarian: how the heck does someone not get how bizarre, unreasonable, and entitled their behavior and thinking is?? And the librarian getting scolded for how she "addressed" the lunatic, that made me angry. She did nothing wrong and didn't deserve that at all. Sometimes I just don't get these whackos with such illogical and crazy thinking.
Librarian story: Civil servants must serve, HUH? Tell that to the mayor, he/she is a civil servant. Tell that to a police officer, same deal. Tell that to any government employee, they are all civil servants. Try to demand any of them help you in a store where they do not work.
Story 1: I would have broken what's left of her teeth. Story 2: I can't believe people think they can just grab and harass customers/employees. Employees are people too.
Seriously, with that first story, I’m infertile and I’m more than happy with that. Periods were an annoying and painful redundant feature I never wanted to use. I’m glad they stopped at about age 30. So I’ll never be in the OP’s position from the first story and I still wanted to punch her.
The part with the Karen realizing OP was still working at the library made me think of Frank Nelson from "The Jack Benny Program". He'd always play a store clerk or somebody in customer service, and ends up tormenting Jack. He was well known for his "YYYYYEEEEEESSSSS????!!!!" when greeting Jack. There was an episode of the TV show where Jack hallucinates Nelson as being everywhere.
I think it was Mel Blanc with the hallucinations. Jack kept changing his mind about a wallet Christmas eve. Great stuff. He had a nightmare about Jack's fingers being shoelaces. Plastic tips! Metal tips! Plastic tips! Metal tips! Why did the governor have to give me that pardon?!!!!
I do not want to be the employee processing returns for baby stuff. If I ever had a job like that I would just tell myself "It doesn't fit the kid" over and over. I remember stories from ex-Toys R us employees talking about people returning items because of miscarriage or just SIDS and I don't know how I'd handle that.
Wow. That's an aspect I've never considered from your perspective; kind of harrowing. Probably the last thing I'd be thinking of is money at a time like that but I get their need to remove reminders asap. I've met one woman who had to carry a baby who'd died to full term (apparently labour will start when it should regardless of the child's status). I could not quite comprehend how traumatizing that would have been for her and her hubby. Still makes me tear up and all I wanted to do was hug her.
My story is about dogs so different but they are still family ya know? So I lost both of my senior dogs in 2021 and I use the Chewy website for prescriptions for them. They send me emails with their names in them like, “Herbie would love these toys”. After each died I had to call and ask that they remove the name from the email. They were so kind and sent me flowers for each. I was so surprised with the measures they went to.
When was 19 , (I am now 51) I took my younger nephew (4yrs old) to the mall for some fun before he and I had a "guys night" together. My brother and I look a lot alike , nephew looks like his dad (key factor here). While we are in the food court an elderly couple with 3 grandbrats begin to berate me for setting a bad example to their grandkids by being such a young father I explained to them that he's my nephew and not my son. The man got in my face calling me a liar and drew his hand back like he was going to hit me for arguing with his wife. All it took was for me to see was him drawing back his hand to hit me and I blanked out and shoved him so hard he broke a hip when he hit the corner of a table before hitting the floor . My SIL worked in this mall. I called her saying I may need you to...and before I could finish she was right there to assess the situation and take her son in case I got arrested . SIL told the police that I am in fact the Uncle and none of this would've happened had the ancient bitch not taken it upon herself to berate me for being a young father to the police. I am in cuffs at this point. Then the bitchy antique said I had no right to attack her husband when 7 or 8 other people defended me from such an accusation. I simply said watch security videos. They left with mall security to go watch the video. They came back , called for an ambulance for her husband , and placed her in handcuffs , and informed her husband that he too is being arrested as soon as hospital releases him. All for harassment , false police report , attempted assault , and a couple of other charges I forget. I have never taken the kid to that mall without his mom or my brother with us since this happened
Wait, so even if you were the father, they were going to berate what they thought was a dad for being involved?? The gall. Some people are so bizarre on their boundaries
Being old just means you've had more time to practice being a decent human being. Some people, like the old lady in story 1, clearly haven't mastered this skill yet.
As an "official" old person (74 yo), I can tell you that that hag is, thankfully, in the minority. In fact, if I - or any of my friends had been there......well, let's just say she wouldn't EVER have done it again!
It's a miracle those grieving parents didn't clock the old hag. Still old hag ruined that dress she was looking for in her tantrum for no reason as well.
I worked as a hospital chaplain for awhile. On one of my on-call nights, I got called in (not unusual). This time it was for a stillborn baby. I went into the room, parents sobbing, tried unsuccessfully to try to console them (at that point, I had one kid myself--what does one say? What words of comfort can one give?). They asked me to baptize the child. So I excused myself, knew what was in the sacristy, asked a nurse for a wash basin, went to the sacristy, grabbed a bottle of oil and baptized and anointed the child for both birth and death. It brought comfort to the parents who had to bury their child. I don't think I ever wore that long sleeved white shirt again. I'm not crying--you are.
Many years ago I started nursing school with my whole future planned. I would be a pediatric nurse while getting an advanced degree & then teaching it. Until reality hit me in the face! I did my clinical rotation in a very large, inner city hospital. By the end of the 12 wks, I had taken care of 6 badly abused infants & toddlers (3 who didn't make it), 5 with cancer (2 survived, that I know of) & 4 with open-heart surgery (all successful, thank God). Half way through, I realized I couldn't handle it emotionally. God bless the nurses, doctors & all who can care for these precious little ones. And yes, it is hard to lose any patient....but I still do cry at times when something reminds me of a little one I lost; even after 40 years.
Last story: Kids, there's nothing more cool than being dragged to places with your parents. But if they try to pull stupid shit involving you that makes you feel uncomfortable, that's NO GOOD. It's your life. No one should have the right to lie about you if you don't want them to. So what do you do? First, you say NO! Then, you GET OUTTA THERE! Most importantly, you gotta tell someone you trust. Like the other parent, provided they aren't a complete wackadoodle, your teacher, a police officer.
The librarian should sue the mom for slander/defamation of character and get a restraining order against her. She pulled the stunt twice and needs to be stopped.
The informal reprimand for behavior towards a stalker in the last story made me mad. Especially considering my brother's facing citations and fines because a female teenager rammed into the front of his car to attempt insurance fraud and the police believed her. Nothing is worse than punishing the victim of a scenario.
Sorry about your brother's fines. If not already done or suggested, a dashcam facing front AND rear. A dashcam proved my husband wasn't at fault when someone hit him.
My wife and I lost two children before birth a long time ago. It's still a sore topic with us, but it was really, really raw with us back then, particularly my wife. If that lady in the first story had done this with my wife, I'm relatively certain my wife would have reacted even more severely.
Yeah. Had it been me in that same situation, I'd have snapped that twig neck of hers like a stalk of celery! And... my sincere condolences for what happened to you and your wife long ago. (HUGS YOU)
Same I......lost a sister before she was even born my brother that came was supposed to be twins and it still hurts but we now moved on with me promising to help take care of my little brother
Apparently if someone touches you in any form of forceful nature, it is classified as an assault and you are legally allowed to defend yourself. Verbal Assault is classified as stalking a person multiple times in order to verbally harass them. This is a suable offense.
I really don't think it's stupidity - although that was my initial impression, too. But as the story progressed, it became far more likely that she was actually delusional & in need of mental health care. Unfortunately, the US is woefully lacking in available AND affordable mental health treatment in most areas.
1st story - Respect is earned, not given. I'm so sorry for your loss Op & that you had to deal with such a horrible person at a difficult time. As the Discworld author Terry Pratchett once said "Age is no guarantee of wisdom, it might just mean that someone has been stupid for a VERY long time"
@@oldjeff2122 Thank you kindly 😊. I thoroughly recommend Sir Terry Pratchett's novels to you, they make excellent night time reading (the audiobooks are great if you're decorating & want something to listen to). I think Audible have the whole collection. I felt strongly about the subject - I don't normally type a message but in this instance I felt I had to. I've only dealt with a Karen once when I was working as a nanny decades ago and, quite frankly, once was enough. I hope Op has read the messages of support, goodness knows she needs it.
My logical and social mind says "hitting is wrong" but hearing the first story, part of me says, "slap a bitch and claim temporary insanity... No parent could convict you after what she said."
Story 1: Being an elder does not automatically give you respect. Also, I think the cigarette breath might have been a factor in her nasty behavior . Edit: After reading the replies, yeah it doesn’t sound like smoking plays a factor.
I don't think cigarettes had anything to do with her behavior. Miserable old women are just that; Miserable old women. Whether you have a nasty habit or not is not paramount to being a bitch. Judgmental people ALSO come in all sizes and shapes. As a long-time restaurant owner, I have patrons who are both smokers and not. Each side has genuinely sweet folks and the not so much group. I do however find those who don't smoke certainly DO consider themselves superior to smokers and thus are BIGGER assholes than those who smoke. Books and covers, Dear. Books and covers.

You know what. That librarian should of said "Here. Since you plan on writing me up for a bs reason then let me give you a good reason to do so." Then actually do something write up worthy out of spite.
Even though she deserved it, being sarcastic towards a customer is not being professional. She talked to a customer in an unprofessional manner, thuis the reprimand was valid.
@@Morten_Storvikperhaps a bit sarcastic, but not unprofessional, as it was a mild, understated, response to the insults. There is nothing in being a professional that requires subservience. And I can think of no profession, apart from law enforcement or mental health, in which anyone is required to quietly put up with someone being personally abusive to them. At least in my experience. Perhaps it's different where you live or work?
Just started watching and in rage already... when you want respect, you have to earn it. Not every young lady is an employee... She could've asked nicely but pulling someone back "just to ask something" - Old people sometimes are getting too old to be good... last story - when this mega karen shows up while she's banned, she can get jailtime for trespassing, right? That's what I hope will happen next time
I still find it amazing how people like this jerk think nothing about slapping a woman and showing other physical abusive/aggressive actions on a woman as if it is a common/natural/expected thing but when a man does it to them its assault and they need to go to jail because its a crime.
Oh my God! I lost a newborn son. If someone said something like that to me shortly after he died it would have taken everything I had not to hospitalize them.
First story- Judge: did you stab that woman Me: of course not she just ran into my knife 10 times (i’m sorry that’s not funny but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to put in a reference😅)
I've heard that librarian story before, classic. I wonder if OP could sue for defamation. Mean, the EM was trying to get her fired with objectively false claims.
The librarian should have gotten the police called for documentation and a lawyer involved to sue for harassment, stalking and reporting a false crime.
The lady said she worked at a school district when complaining about the librarian. Why didn’t they find out where she worked at and called the school district. And sent the complaint to them she would’ve been fired
"Civil servants" are a thing, but the term refers to public officials and cops and such. Not everyone paid by the state is a civil servant, but of course idiots love to throw words around and give them their own definition when they think it makes them sound like they're right.
@@t3hp0larbear don't forget that they don't know what they're talking about and like LOUD NOISES!!!!! (For some reason that line from Anchorman came to mind)
Story 1: unfortunately, pregnancy and infant loss is something that affects a lot of people. 1 in 4 women will experience it. Just like OP, I am 1 in 4. My heart goes out to her and her husband. I know the pain they're going through and it's not something I would wish on anyone!
set up a petition for a law that says being a "Karen" is a crime. Meaning any form of extreme out of place self entitlement, causing harm to others because of someone's sheer egoism should be punished with a rehabilitation program
There's a thing called human decency. Whether or not the person is a staff member or not, you don't just treat any other person like heck to get what you want. I wish there are more decent people than Karens.
The story with OP sister in the Hardware Store: the guy was ok to someone being yelled at and thought it was OK? Just reacted as he realized that was his sister? Meaning that it’s normal for people to yell at employees? Not a good example, actually. To the last story: the woman followed OP to her workplace and even though the director said it was not OK for her to answer this stalker in a stronger way? OP should call the police and make a statement and an restraining order against her. She lied, followed her, lied again as a supposed assault... All adults did their job wrong protecting a teenager from this person.
Maybe it's just my state, but, if you're off the clock, even at your place of employment, you're not allowed to do anything. Just like you can't leave if you're on the clock. I don't understand either why no one uno reverses Karens?
OP on the library story has an easy defamation of character lawsuit, and should probably call CPS and tell them to look into that woman, cause if she's willing to behave like that in public and drag her child into a situation they're not even involved with, who knows what's going on at their home.
I pulled this up and started looking through files on my phone. As soon as I heard, "I recently lost my newborn," I looked up and STARED. Yeah, don't fuck with a grieving parent. You deserve whatever you get.
When I worked for a company that counts inventory for multiple stores I was mistaken for an employee there so many times. There was nothing I was wearing that indicated I worked at that store. I had no name tag. It was so annoying when people would interrupt my counting, making my job harder.
Good on the brother in story 2 to come to his sister's aid, but the fact that he thought it was "just an employee" being yelled at rubs me the wrong way. I hate confrontation, and would not feel comfortable getting involved in a situation where I saw an employee being yelled at, but to just brush it off as "oh, just an employee being yelled at and belittled, not big deal" is awful. It pisses me off when people harass a customer, and then are all sweet as pie when they understand they're not an employee. Employees are people and do not deserve to be treated like that.
If I had been there and I had any food I would’ve thrown it at the old lady after hearing her say that to a woman who had recently lost her child! That old lady is a vile excuse for a human being and I hope her children and grandchildren are better people then her!
Some older people can be horrible old bags, especially when mixed with entitlement. And why do people feel the need to touch random strangers. I'm glad my customer service job was over the phone and not in person.
1st story: Im not a violent person but....if I was op or her husband...Id slug that B. Yeah getting arrested for assault would be worth it. My cousin and his wife had a miscrriage (I know op lost baby after birth) and it was rough for them (they did try again when they were given the ok and had a healthy baby boy late last year) but during that time of healing encountered that woman...
Years ago the elderly it was common for the elderly treated with respect no matter their attitude. It was taught the old people were right in everything.
It's probably a leftover custom from when only like 10% of people would reach their 70s. They had to be smart (or lucky) to reach that age. Nowadays getting old isn't exceptional unless you're like 100+
Story 2: Somewhat disappointed that OP was fine with the situation of some other person being yelled at and berated as long as it was just an employee of the store.
Tossing Clothes onto a Customers food while yelling at a woman "Who lost a baby mind you" thinking she worked there? Slapping a girl then grabbed and yelled at her for no reason? And claiming that because a Person works at one location, it is their duty to help people at another "Even though they do not work for the location" and then has the nerve to send an email to the bosses of that person's actual working location, stating how they should have done this and that even though they do not WORK at that other location and off the clock, and then tried to get that person into trouble with a false claim, even going far as telling them to check the Security Cameras "Which I am pretty sure she knew there wouldn't be but did it out of Entitlement"? *O o* What the hell is wrong with these people? It's no wonder they either get banned, locked up or both. They need some serious therapy. I am still waiting for the day when I myself meet a Karen or Ken. *prays* Please god, for my sanity's sake, do NOT send those PEOPLE in my direction.
Ow Karen’s know exactly who to Harass, I for one have a look that says ‘Don’t even try it’ I have seen them take a turn for a colleague instead. With me right behind them.
Last story should have ended like this, full-time calls the same people and they all call the cops. Cops show up and manager pulls them to the side and says let her file the false report first before checking the cameras and then charging her with filing a false report. Then try for harassment charges and go for the trifecta with a restraining order.
I find it interesting that an employee of the Department of Education would address a library employee like this. Isn’t Karen #3 a civil servant as well?
I can't believe that that old lady just doubled down and kept up with the entitled behavior after finding out that OP lost her son. That lady really deserves a painful passing.
Oh no. They can be far dumber than you can imagine. Just when you think you met the dumbest adult on the planet you then meet someone dumber still. I swear it never ends with idiots. Where do they keep coming from?
It's what sibblings do if raised right. I know both my older sister and brother would have done the same thing if it was me, the youngest boy who had been in OP2s sisters situation.
My wife and I went through the same thing with our son and if that bitch had said that to us she would still be trying to get up and eat again the husband has more self control than I would have.
For the first story, respect is earned through respectful actions. Maintaining bodily functions for a long period of time does not denote an entitlement to more respect over someone younger. This isn't ancient times when life expectancy is 30. This old notion of respecting elders needs to be swept away for good. Respect everyone until they show you they deserve more or less.
Story 1 hits home for me. My wife and I ALMOST lost our twin boys not once but 5 times while they were in the Hospital. I would have backhanded the old bat HARD. I might have even killed her with 1 backhand as I'm AUTISTIC and don't know my own strength(common in AUTISTIC people).
@@joedorcas ohh, sorry to hear that. But you are gonna get them back, right? Maybe I understood something wrong (since I'm not from your country, don't know procedures well and don't have kids = I don't even know well such procedures in my country, no experience whatsoever), but in case it's a health issue, I hope you'll get them back once their health improves. Wishing you all well!
I wish names and places of some of these raging monster Karen’s (male Karen’s too) would be released with the videos! Now that being said more and more lately I find the one with the camera is actually the problem, they get up in innocent peoples faces in hopes of having a viral video! Never on Darkfluff but other channels that show videos. These Karen’s, especially the 1st story deserve that punch in their face they never got!
And that last story that librarian should have not have gotten in any trouble period.... In fact if I was in her shoes I'll probably make a complaint about being disciplined for doing nothing wrong. Cove of her boss's heads and f****** make a point.
He grabbed her so hard he left a bruise, screamed in her face, and fucking slapped her. He was charged with assault, but we don’t really care. WHAT!?!?! You DON’T CARE!??!!?!! HOW???!??!!!?!???
Oh that poor woman, losing her child and putting up with that, the pain must be so intense. I am so sorry this happened to her and I hope that with support from her Husband and friends, she will start to heal.
In the last story the librarian should have found out where the Karen work and try to get her fired. Would definitely have called the police and filed harassment charges against the Karen and filed a restraining order against her as well.
Last story: "an informal warning"??? WTF? That is pure bullshit! She should have been given an award for being so nice and patient with that unbelievable bitch! She also should press charges for defamation of character!
In that last story, if that lady thinks that any and all public servants have to drop everything and help her, then why doesn't she just call her Senator to help with the shopping? Demand her rep from the House of Reps come down and babysit for her? Lets call up the Mayor to do a diaper run. Send the military to take the kid to school. Prison guards are public servants too...have them deliver a pizza...free of charge of course, what do you think we pay them for?
It’s stuff like the last story that always bothers my why nobody presses charges! This is EXACTLY the kind of shit you need to press charges for! If even one of the managers gave less than half a shit, not including the store manager, she could lost her job, or worse, had her life ruined under false statements! It’s like that one story about a guy at a Gamestop who was buying games for a friend and this EK and her spoiled brats tried to pressure op into buying games for her kids! Even going so far as to have her kids cling to op’s legs! Then she lied to the Gamestop manager, who didn’t even bother to confirm himself, and he called the police. The police took her statement only, and almost arrested op without even checking the security cameras! If op didn’t say otherwise, he would have been hauled off and charged, when they did, and they cuffed her, he turned to the manager, asked for a copy of the tapes, and got that Gamestop shut down! One of my favorites actually, but i don’t remember which episode it was. I know you read it fluff, but does anyone remember which one it was? Sorry for the rant BTW.
that karen in the last story must seriously have somthing wrong with her to so confidently make something up then demand they check the cameras like shes convinced somehow the cameras will show the made up situation
Story 2 made me see red. If anyone were screaming at my lil sis like that, cops would be involved. If I saw a video where they put their hands on her, I'm coming for them like 70s roller derby. There is no 👏🏾 cop 👏🏾 alive 👏🏾 that would stop me from getting to that person.
Story one is the perfect example as to why violence should not only be seen as an acceptable answer to certain situations, but a heavily encouraged one.

Do I condone murder? No. Would I have done one? Maybe.
How stupid do you have to be to lie about someone assaulting your kid then demand to check the cameras?
Very.
My thoughts exactly!!
Add to that, the fact that they closed down a lot of mental health facilities in the Reagan years (I think that was when it happened not sure) many people who had been living in those places ended up on the streets or in places not equipped to
handle them.
Mental health?? I call it attitude!
OP in the last story should definitely file a report for stalking. Going so far as to show up at her workplace and cause trouble is way too much.
I would not be surprised if she got permanent at the library.
Also sue the woman for slander. A couple hundred-thousand-dollar lawsuit should calm her down.
You stop respecting people just because they're older than you once you turn 18. Once you're legally an adult, everyone is a peer and equal until they give you a reason to think otherwise. That woman deserves absolutely no respect. Ever.

How do people not understand that "civil servant" does NOT mean you serve the public at all times?! Expecting a librarian to help you in a store is like expecting an off-duty police officer to come put out your house when it's on fire. 1) A librarian is NOT a public servant. 2) A public servant has no obligation to serve when they are not working.
yeah, it seems that some people equate public servants with Public slaves, though they don't seem to take that attitude towards politicians.

Seriously? A verbal warning because she snapped at a person who was harassing and now stalking this poor girl?! Ugh.
I know I would've said OK then I'll just file hostile work environment complaint against the library and go to the police for a paper trail.
@Naga Min the problem with that is that jobs in the industry can be a bear to find. I would, however, start looking and try and move on.
I agree. That informal warning was totally uncalled for.

The library directors should have found out where this woman worked and made a complaint directly to her workplace! That is just beyond on pale.

When was 19 , (I am now 51) I took my younger nephew (4yrs old) to the mall for some fun before he and I had a "guys night" together. My brother and I look a lot alike , nephew looks like his dad (key factor here).
While we are in the food court an elderly couple with 3 grandbrats begin to berate me for setting a bad example to their grandkids by being such a young father
I explained to them that he's my nephew and not my son.

Being old just means you've had more time to practice being a decent human being. Some people, like the old lady in story 1, clearly haven't mastered this skill yet.
Mastered? She doesn’t even qualify as a beginner!
As an "official" old person (74 yo), I can tell you that that hag is, thankfully, in the minority. In fact, if I - or any of my friends had been there......well, let's just say she wouldn't EVER have done it again!
I would have beaten the crap out of her in OP's place. I applaud the husband's ability to keep both of them from causing her bodily harm.

Story 3: Who (besides this Karen) would call workers "servants"? And what mindset would one have to try to get someone not only fired, but arrested?
"Civil servants" are a thing, but the term refers to public officials and cops and such. Not everyone paid by the state is a civil servant, but of course idiots love to throw words around and give them their own definition when they think it makes them sound like they're right.

And mental health treatment for life.
Oh, the police should have been called. So that Karen could file a false police report. Now you have something to throw her in jail for.
First story, I really want to give OP a big hug! Second story, I wish my older brother was that nice but unfortunately he's not!!
With the library story we see the prime example of why you NEVER tell people where you work
Years ago the elderly it was common for the elderly treated with respect no matter their attitude.
And a CPS intervention and an email to Karen's school.
The Karen's son in the last story had the potential to be a hero, if the cameras hadn't already exposed his mom's lies.
The librarian story... The fact that the entitled woman told them to check the security tape and didn't think she'd be proven wrong? How?
I find it interesting that an employee of the Department of Education would address a library employee like this. Isn’t Karen #3 a civil servant as well?
Exactly, and Karen #3's work place should be contacted about her crimes.
I can't believe that that old lady just doubled down and kept up with the entitled behavior after finding out that OP lost her son. That lady really deserves a painful passing.
Story 1: OP was way nicer than me. I would’ve smacked the living crap out of her.
I’m surprised how completely stupid some people can be while still being a functioning adult
That's what I was thinking too. How did they manage to make it this far being such idiots??
_I’m surprised how completely stupid some people can be while still being an adult_
Fixed it for you, brother!
@@chrispham6599 good fix!
Oh no. They can be far dumber than you can imagine. Just when you think you met the dumbest adult on the planet you then meet someone dumber still. I swear it never ends with idiots. Where do they keep coming from?
Hats off to the big brother who stood up for his sister! This is what men do.
I hope your twin boys are happy and healthy now.
@@user-mc5vy2vk5n We don't know due to Child Services taking them away and we have no contact with them. Apprehended at birth basically.
@@user-mc5vy2vk5n actually they are 21 years old now. They have been told that we were killed in a car accident.
@@joedorcas omg. I got the impression it happened recently and they are still babies, and you wait for them to get better.
Third story..... It would be perfect Karma if OP found where Karen works, let them know what she pulled, and gets Karen fired.
Oh my gosh, that first one made me tear up.
Story 1: anyone else want to go on a witch hunt for that lady? I'll bring cookies
The library story: OP was reprimanded for how she addressed the women who harassed her….? Time to find a new job OP
First story: That may be the angriest I've ever heard Dark Fluff. Justified, too.
In the librarian story... "A formal warning" on how OP addressed the b****h?!?!?!?!?!? What kind of stupid, evil library does she work at?
I'm sorry Karen, I can't help you. I'm not licensed to practice psychiatry.
Last story: "an informal warning"??? WTF? That is pure bullshit! She should have been given an award for being so nice and patient with that unbelievable bitch! She also should press charges for defamation of character!
And alert CPS so they can press charges for involving a minor in her criminal activities.
Old people should have respect they expect others to have, because they're well old. I feel sorry for her grandchild.
Its 2022. Living to be older than other adults is no longer an achievement. Simply existing doesnt warrant respect
Ask the President to pick up her son after school. 😹
"I respect my elders, i just don't respect you. So logically if I respect my elders but don't respect you, you are not my elder "
that karen in the last story must seriously have somthing wrong with her to so confidently make something up then demand they check the cameras like shes convinced somehow the cameras will show the made up situation
As a woman who can’t get pregnant. I agree with Darkfluff on the first story. I probably would have slapped the old bag.
There's no cop that would try to stop you unless they were already in the process of arresting the attacker...
I hope nothing like this ever happens to me. I would do something for which we all would be sorry!
Ah, I see now why I never have an "I don't work here" moments.
I'm to rude.
"Where is...."
Me: how the hell should I know?
Welcome to Wal-Mart. Get your shit and get out. 😹
