I was just going through a box of my dad's old books in my basement here in Toronto, Canada when I came across a science fiction book from 1954 about flying saucers. There was an address written inside the book on the first blank page that read '41 Napier St, Kirkcaldy' by the owner I presume. Probably my grandmother bought it at a book sale for my dad here when she visited Scotland in 1971. My grandmother was born in Dysart, Fife, but moved to Toronto, Canada in the 1920's.
Je garde un souvenir triste de Kirkcaldy. en juillet 1979, la ville était complétement sinistrée: commerces fermés, maisons abandonnées. Cela soulevait le coeur. Puisse-t-elle resplendir en 2020.
Eeeeboy. Just bought myself a copy. We moved here 2 years ago and I love the town. Probably it will never reach the peak of the '70-'80 again and the high street will never see as much foot traffic, but still a beautiful town. Great parks, good promenade, good walks.

My father was born on Kirkcaldy... we moved to Australia in 1964
I was born in Kirkcaldy and grew up there in the 80’s. Hardly recognise it now driving through
I come from kirkcaldy and these are some great memories.
At 3.00 on the left of the road is what I believe a Mr Fontana Ice cream van, some of the creamiest ice cream in Fife.
I.like kirkcaldy from malaysia with love
