    I think I have one just like it. Picked it up at an antique shop. Not nearly as bad shape as this one. And it still works. Could use some touch ups of course.

      Sand blasting, it's how you can take paint off of metal besides paint strippers, u use either sand or glass particles

    Didn't you need "D" batteries for that ?

      Glad I wasn't the only one who realized the battery thing. He probably just moved the left conductors forward and filled up the space between them and the wall with something though. The voltage is the same between D and C so it doesn't matter which ones are used as long as you can get them to touch the conductors.
