    To slice the smaller leaves from the solid background you have to select the leaves and the brown background. how do you do that. what key did you press to select both?

    • @Expressionsvinyls
      @Expressionsvinyls  6 лет назад

      Hi Tracy, I just hold the control key down when I select them. I use a PC. You can also go on the Layers Panel and select them that way. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    So I am assuming there is no "shrinkage" of the vinyl when heated correct?

    • @Expressionsvinyls
      @Expressionsvinyls  7 лет назад

      Hi Stacey, if you are doing several layers then you will just need to apply heat for a few seconds on the first layers. If you do it this way then you will not have to worry about anything shrinking. Hopefully this helps!

    I need help! Hehe. If you write at Cricut Design Space and you use two different letters, how you will put all together for cut? 🙁

    • @Expressionsvinyls
      @Expressionsvinyls  6 лет назад

      Hi, there are a couple of different features you can use with fonts. One of them is the weld and it will basically do that, weld all your letters together as one piece. The other option is Attach. That one will attach all the letters that you have selected together so they will not move from that location. That way they will stay in the order that you need them. Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can assist you with.

    I struggled to understand this. I’m not really understand what you’re doing. I usually love your videos.

    • @Expressionsvinyls
      @Expressionsvinyls  4 года назад

      Dee Ann, what she is doing is cutting the vinyl out so the pieces almost fit like a puzzle. The slice technique is used when you have vinyl that you want to look layered, but aren't actually layered. Do you have a Cricut machine that you cut with?

    • @catdeeann
      @catdeeann 4 года назад

      Expressions Vinyl I am using a Cricut. I know how to slice. Her directions for this project are just confusing. I am trying to slice letters that would allow me to have a mirrored effect using the colors of Red, White and Blue. I found a crude way to do it, but would prefer to learn the proper way of which sliced pieces to remove. If I could add a photo to this, I would so you could see what I’m talking about.

    Are you using a special transfer sheet?

    • @Expressionsvinyls
      @Expressionsvinyls  6 лет назад

      Hi Barbara, I'm not. I just used the carrier sheet that came on the heat transfer vinyl. Once I have applied my first layer I then used Multi Use paper just to protect the vinyl from direct contact with the heat press. Here is a link to that - expressionsvinyl.com/multi-use-paper-12x20-sheet/
