yesterday i received the skeleton SAGL-01 Automatic watch, the box is more beautiful than what you have received. its maroon wooden box with small magnets to keep the lid shut. very very beautiful watch. bought for ₹12,580/-.

Hi loved the review. A small suggestion, get a good camera and a condenser mic for these reviews. Video is a bit noisy and background noises are very much audible. But love these HMT watch reviews. Great work. :)

How do you service the watch? Like from where?
Hmt watches parts are all easily available. No complex mechanism. Reason? Hmt uses it's very old time tested movement , imported first from Japan and later mass produced in India itself.
I am happy to watch this video and to know about this watch I never knew about the movement details actually I was not using this watch because of its bulky Ness. But now I feel lucky to have one. I also have a Sandle wood watch. Pocket watch and Nurses watch all manufactured by HMT

I have the same movement but in a titan, a skeleton... With a transparent case back.......it looks lovely from both sides....
Nikhil Chakravarthi titan has Chinese movement... This has japanese
+R.A. Ghosh : Very true. The Titan is arguably pricier because of the materials, finishing etc, but the movement is Chinese. What a shame.

As you mentioned that you wear this watch occasionally, so when your watch is not in use it will stop ticking, so when you take that back for use how do you charge the winding, I mean being automatic it winds with motion, so does that mean we'll have to shake the watch for a minute or two so that it starts ticking back and then we can wear it day long? Please reciprocate.
These movements need 8-10 handwinding after it has been kept unused for long time just to give initial kickstart
For daily use no need...keeps winding itself and power reserve for a day easily

All are 30m resistant. Not advisable to use near water

Hello! I was hoping you can help me out. I have the silver version of this watch (SASL-01) and have a quick question. On the back of my watch the number I see is “8N24-0118”. Does that mean this watch was manufactured in January of 2018? If so, does that seem valid? I thought the company, HMT, shut down in 2016. Can you please help me identify if I have a fake? Thank you!
Hey i hope it's not too late , so the thing is hmt did shut down in 2016 but some of its employees got back together and are manufacturing watches from whatever is left in thier inventory , so these watches come out on sales in 3_4 months and could be bought directly from thier official website
No. HMT other factories were shut down. HMT has been still making watches in Bangalore factory.
