Ah yes, this was the romhack that I got into RtDL modding. I kinda forgot this even existed lol
The result could have been better but I will do it whenever I feel like doing it (alternatively; in a next few years)
I hope you don't mind the music changes here, I don't care if it is fitting or not. It just that I like them.

I think it would be cool if Shay changed the mid bosses in EX mode. Instead using their EX colors, they would be the elemental versions from Super Kirby Clash. Frost Kibble Blade, Ignite Edge, Spark Bonkers, would be so sick. If moundo were to have an element, I would give him bluster(wind) especially since he already has one move that is wind based.

I like your idea! Having the same boss for the extra mode but recolored feels stale and repetitive, but since the model both normal and extra are different, there is a chance that they might implement this
