  • Detailed review and test of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with new 2.0T engine, improved cabin and updated aesthetics.
    Iain Curry drives the facelifted Jeep Wrangler in four-door format. Already an accomplished (but niche) off-roader, the Wrangler swaps its breathless old V6 petrol for a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit, while the interior materials and tech take a step up despite the price remaining the same on the Rubicon. The price actually goes down on other Wrangler variants.
    What do you think of this Jeep for Aussie conditions?
    Rivals to the Jeep Wrangler include the Ford Everest, Toyota Prado, GWM Tank 300, and others.

      They have at least 2 things in common - inline 4 cyl and the price!

    Do they have the service department on shortcut in the satnav?

    Halve the price and they might actually sell some of them. I've owned a Wrangler and loved it, but they are waaaay to expensive now.

    I bought my new Unlimited Rubicon last year when I heard they’re going to swap the V6 with the 4-cylinder. I wasn’t expecting to buy a new car so soon, but I couldn’t risk being forced to get the 4-cylinder. They’re plagued with issues in the US, whereas the V6 is going 300,000km problem-free according to many reports from owners

    I'll happily buy a Tank 300 for $45-50k, as a fun weekend off-road car.

    Yeah, I know it's the offroad icon but Tank 300 makes more sense.

      Correct, having an inline 4 cylinder for $90k. What a Jeep Joke. Crash test not good also.

    Across the range, in the US, Jeep is notorious for poor reliability and service according to latest figures.

      Jeeps aren’t that bad, they are cheap to run and fix compared to say…actually the British people and poor auto reliability are no strangers 😂 do I need to explain?

      @@MichaelNiteRealEstate BRITISH vehicles were notorious for reliability, with RANGE ROVER taking the prize. I had a grand cherokee and it was fine until it destroyed its gear box at 12 months. faulty seal. repairs were very expensive. Never again.

    So, no more V6! Bye bye to my dream of buying one. What's the point of having a Jeep Wrangler if I can't hear the grumble of a V6? Pairing a Jeep Wrangler with a crappy, flimsy, weak 4-cylinder engine is a big mistake. I expect a drop in sales in Australia because of this poor engine decision

    waaaay too expensive. and what's next? a 1.3L 3 cylinder ? how do you project a downgrade from a V6 to a 4banger as an "upgrade" :) :) :) you want gas milage? stelantis makes FIATs - get one !!!

    The windows switches in the dash is just dumb design. There is no reason they can't be fitted in the doors. There is no need to wind the windows down if the doors are not on the car.

    • @BobbyDazzler888
      @BobbyDazzler888 11 дней назад

      You obviously dont understand it’s because the doors are removable and its better for electrical design
