Thanks mum but I think had it not being a stretchy fabric, the trimming would have affected the seam allowances since you didn't add any seam allowances to the side panels. I suggest making the width of the hips when cutting the panels equal to that of the waist to prevent the bulge and later shape the skirt at the side panels. And Ma pls, is the side panel cut the same with as the centre making it unfold too?
I added seam allowance to the side panel, pls watch the video again, also trimming is only the 3 front panel at the centre front not the side that is used to attach to the side back, I use it also while making Ankara materials and it works perfectly thanks
U have to cut it in 6 pieces not 7 pieces, All the 6 pieces has to be equal, divided the hip by 12 whatever u have is what you will cut out in 6 panels, 3 panels will be for the front & 3 panels will be for the back, no zip panels at the back, with the rope u have to use the hip measurement for the waist also, so when you insert the rope and gather it you will have the waist measurement, using the hip measurement for the waist is for the skirt to pass through the hip when the customer is wearing it, use the full length measurement of the skirt and add 2inches allowance to the upper part for folding and inserting in ur rope, hopefully my explanation will help you, thanks

How do you sew stretchy fabrics.My machine can't sew it.
U have to get a special needle by name stretch needle, needle to sew jesery material or normal needle but very light not thick needle, thanks

If you are in nigeria, use HA needles. It's for stretch fabrics
