After this super bowl season Green Bay went 15-1 on what seemed to be another championship season but ended in heartbreak. I think us packers fans were thinking we were the next patriots of the 2010s. Been nothing but heartbreak since this game. At least we got one.

It’s amazing going back to these games from years ago and seeing just how much the league has changed. And also thinking about the guys that are still playing for these teams like Big Ben and Rogers. The number of teammates they’ve seen come and go over the years.
I don’t really remember anyone from this time other than the big names that are still in the league. I was 11 at the time and liked watching football but never really paid attention to individual players.

I didn't get to see the end of this game live. I had an overnight shift that was starting right as my Steelers were about to get the ball for one last drive. I'd seen them pull it off before, so I remember listening to the radio on the drive in and then racing into the building decked out in my Steelers gear pleading with my supervisor to turn on the radio so I could catch the end. The result of the 4th down play met my ears and made for a long and sad night, lol. Living in Browns' country, I had a feeling I was in for a night of ridicule, but I had some great coworkers, and they saved it for when it was a little less fresh, haha. Sad how it ended, but it was an exciting game. Honestly blessed that I've been able to see my team play in four of them in my lifetime so far (but would love to see more someday).

I remember after Super Bowl XLV there was some big talk of the Packers becoming the next big football dynasty of the 10's, and why not? They had all the pieces. Aaron Rodgers was 27 and had come into his own, the Packers were young and stacked, they had a good defense led by Clay Matthews and Mike McCarthy looked like he was ready to take the next step on the Pantheon of coaches. The stratosphere looked to be the limit for these Packers.
