Wonderful, better by far than anything on network TV today. And the look on poor Hamilton Burgers face when Perry reveals the true killer is just priceless.
Perry can singlehandedly be credited for Burger keeping his job! With all those confessions, Mr Burger surely saved the county of Los Angeles MILLIONS!
In chronological order, some great character actors and actresses. Marie Windsor, Robert H. Harris, Daniel J.Travanti(then known as Dan Travanty), Les Tremayne (who was on the Perry Mason Radio Show), and Ben Cooper, whose high decibel histrionics were outdone -in volume only - by Ruta Lee in Case of The Screaming Woman (1958) and Jeannette Nolan's shrill 150 decibel "NOOOOOO!" in Case of The Betrayed Bride.
The #1 confession is way over the top. I think the saddest ones (and best) were The Case of The Waylaid Wolf, The Case of The Screaming Lady, The Case of The Romantic Rogue and The Cas of The Artful Dodger. The most interesting confessions were The Case of The Glittering Goldfish and The Case of The Bogus Books.
PERRY MASON!! He's my hero in the fictionalized court system because he would always find the guilty person and 'rescue' the framed person. He's the lawyer I would want if I were ever framed for murder. But sadly, I would have to settle with a 'real' lawyer and end up in prison for years, maybe decades. Just like they did to David Milgaard, Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter, Guy Paul Morin, and many, many other innocent people because they couldn't find a concerned, caring lawyer like Perry Mason who believed they were innocent. ❤
The "reveal" is NOT necessarily the best part of every Perry Mason episode. That shallow and narrow point of view really sells short a LOT of great acting, writing and screenplay.

good acting...improbable plot

I love Perry Mason. I saw all these episodes,
I love the confessions part.

The classic "I did it, and I'm GLAD!" would've been kinda nice, too.....
One favorite of mine was the "Case of the Misguided Missile". "It flew!!!"
Except for one thing.
You forgot to turn down the radio

It was a nice try but they wouldn't have been my top five.
