This episode and song just absolutely crushed me, I could not stop crying! Luke's story was so sad. Charlie Gillespie acted his ass off in this scene and his voice is just incredible.

Still can’t believe Netflix didn’t renewed the show. And can’t find a reason why they didn’t. The show was absolutely amazing, 13 emmy nominations! An incredible cast and producer that would’ve loved to continue the project! And can’t even put into words how much passion there is in the fandom aka phantoms! I mean, they literally broke the internet begging for a second season after they announced it was cancelled. And they’re still a super strong fandom after more than 2 years of the release. So sad!👻🌭💜
They said they didn't have any place for it on their platform. But that was their own fault. They missmarketed it as a kids' show, but it obviously attracted older audiences...and that's why they killed it. Fools.
the only thing that makes me feel better is that Kenny Ortega revealed the ending, and basically they would've come back from the dead or something like that, he said that once he tried everything to renew the series, if it was confirmed that wouldn't have a new season, he would reveal the ending, and he did it, I swear I would give everything to see his reunion with his parents 😢

This show was great from start to finish but it deserved at least a second season for this song and scene alone, and its such a shame that Netflix didn't see a future in it.
Yeah, Netflix seriously screwed up with their decision. The Fantoms never forgave them for that choice.
What is episode?
Sure someone's already told you but the guy you didn't know was Bobby aka Trevor Wilson. He was a member of Sunset Curve as well but didn't die with Luke,Alex and Reggie.
And he was introduced in like, the first scene of the show. xD
Bobby was so forgettable, i would say poor guy if he wouldn't have done what he did 😂
I'm pretty sure it was strongly implied that Bobby/Trevor was one that killed them or had a hand in killing them, if I remember correctly. We will never have all the answers, very sad

This scene is inherently very sad, and the most heartbreaking or the most beautiful part of it, depending on how you look at it, is that the boys cannot be seen unless they play with Julie, but they can be heard when they play along. This means that Luke's parents did hear the song when he sang it.
No wonder why this song won an Emmy 🥺

It's even sadder when you realize that they can be heard while they sing. So not only is juilie hearing him sing it, but so are his parents, o KY they think it's just in their heads.
If Julie isn't performing they can only really "feel" the music, especially because he's only singing and not playing an instrument. At least that's how I interpreted it. Based on "this band is back"
This is even more heartbreaking when you remember that his songs can be heard when he sings. So as they are reading that song sheet they are hearing his voice sing it too.

This song was a big cry for me for the show and because my husband’s mom’s name is Emily and she passed when our son was 2 weeks old. My husband always said he left a lot of things unsaid so yeah big tears 😢
They canceled the serie, but in my head the parents would go to a Julie concert and see him and it was the most beautiful scene.

it's been ages and this song still breaks me every time. i love my mum, i'm a total momma's boy, and my mental health really really sucked for most of my teen years - when i first heard this song, it struck me how much it would've hurt my mum to lose me, and how much i couldn't bear the idea of it. i sent the song to her and we cried together. i still can't get through this song without bawling lmao, it means so much to me even without the canon context

the fact that i have seen this show like 4 or 5 times and this song makes me cry EVERY time is surreal! this is the first song (i think) that made me cry
i don't know where you are, and so i'm going to try not to spoil but there is a scene where alex and reggie take julie to see something related to luke. if you listen closely in that scene, you can hear little bit of the melody from Unsaid Emily. it's something you don't catch until you watch the show through the 2nd time, but it's such a beautiful preview moment when you realize the 2nd time what it is.

Julie and the phantoms is a great show and I can't wait for season 2. When I heard that song for the first time it crushed me inside as I can relate. And that 4th guy in the band was the old guy that stole their songs and claimed them for his own when they died

I just hate that this show got canceled. It was a huge success and made milions of fans in no time, just to be canceled. I'm specially sad because this tv series is based on a Brazilian tv series that I watched growing up, so there's that emotional side to it.
