Halfway through this GRWM I started to relax (probably because it was taking way longer to film than most of my other videos), and I was able to feel more like myself.
Jen, I know I've said this before, but you are by far one of my favorite content creators. You go so in depth with your comparisons and have such a well trained eye. I love that you have a maturity that you don't let hold you back, even with all the 20 something year old creators and societal pressures of never aging. If Milani brought back their old formula with their new color stories, they would be the "talk of the town" on RUclips! I appreciate the before and after shots of the mascara application. I find that the most helpful in mascara reviews!
I agree! They come up with such nice color stories, the BEST at the drugstore honestly. They would corner the market if they could bring back the old formula.
I still want to know why they changed! I think the new ones are talc free-is that it? They just don’t stick as well and it’s so frustrating because they have more interesting color stories than most high end palettes!

I love how you show real life! I struggle with getting my eyeshadow to look like the other gurus I follow, they always look perfect. That being said your eyeshadow actually looks fine and if you struggled I'm guessing it's more about that awful Milani formula vs your ability. ❤️❤️❤️
I have a hard time blending too! I just can't get it!! I got all new brushes thinking that was it, then got better eyeshadow, that wasn't it. I now use a better eye primer (Urban Decay) and I'm having better luck, blending is still to be desired, but it is much better!

Love this format. This is sort of like doing makeup with a friend. I actually love your eye look so I hate it was difficult to work with. I just miss the old Milani formula. It was so good and I love the color story of this eyeshadow palettes. It’s just sad that the formula sucks.

I have to agree with you on all the negatives. The foundation looked great on you (especially once you showed us in real light). Just a few words to mascara: I started to mix them. First layer to separate or care like with the glam doll mascara by catrice.. Second layer then for the effect I look for... Length, volume.... This works so well for me. BTW I am new to your channel, English is not my language but I am able to understand everything you say because you are not speaking to fast and you are very clear and easy to understand and follow. I also like the reviews and GRWM videos.

Just made an Ulta order myself yesterday and am so happy and relieved that you like the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator because I just ordered it! I love the NYX tinted veil mixed with the Essence tinted primer so I was curious about this one. I will have to get the concealer next time if I can find my shade! Thxs for the helpful review🙂
Adored the opening, a little bit of your humor and personality came out. The colors in the Milani palette look really pretty, excellent comparisons too. I have the Milani Supercharged Facial Mist that has turmeric in it which I thought would help with the bit of acne I have and keep my skin a bit moisturized, it is okay the scent is very strong and citrusy but it helps boost my moisturizer during the day.
I really like that you show us the new discoveries with a tutorial on how they look on your face, and I also have a hooded eyelid. And i like a tinted mosturizer. Thanks Jen
Tbh I found the Milani eyeshadows disappointing BEFORE they changed their formula, I honestly found the soft & sultry palette to be very meh when compared to Too Faced or Tarte's similar palettes - so I wouldn't even try the new formula lol. Seeing your review hasn't changed my mind so I appreciate the heads up!:)
The wet n wild tinted face product looked so nice on your skin. Impressed by the healthy glow it gave. Reminds me of the glow I get from the neutrogena healthy skin foundation. I really don’t like milani a new eyeshadow formula. They should go back to the formula in the gold palettes.

I don't understand the complaints about the new Milani formula. Their old formula was sub-par, but the new one is on the level of what I expect from high-end makeup companies. It blends so easily and beautifully. I hope they never change it.
It does blend very easily but for me, I feel like it's too easy. It's so finely milled that it doesn't stick to my skin, it has no grip. So when I'm blending, it fades so much and I have to keep adding more and more product to get it to show up like the color in the pan.
That Wet and Wild Tinted Hydrator looks so pretty on the skin, and it does look like you're wearing highlighter! If I have to wear a mask, I like these lighter coverage options, because why waste good foundation right? I think with eyeshadows blending easier, try going in with less product upon application, blend it out, and then go back in with a second layer and blend. If you go in heavier at first, it's harder to blend out. 😊

Yes! Mine came on suddenly back around Thanksgiving. I was sitting in the family room late at night working on editing a video and all of a sudden this feeling of heat started creeping up from my chest and neck and spread to my face and ears. It wasn't horrible but just weird. It was like a flush. Then it disappeared within a few minutes and was gone. Then they just started happening regularly, especially when I wear warm clothing. I find that if I wear t- shirts around the house it doesn't happen as much.

I did enjoy this video thanks Jen! It’s sad about the staying power because the entire look came out looking awesome on you. Haloes looks are tricky on hooded eyes I found. I too have hooded eyes that are a few decades more mature.😉🤭 lol it then again I’m 61. I took most of the entire monthly December off from RUclips I found I was watching way too much. I do want to try the Wet N Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator but I wish it had a sunscreen in it like the Neutrogena Protect + Tint Tint Moisturizer. You demonstrated that one and I fell in love with it. The Wet N Wild one looks wonderful on your skin so I might have to try it just because it looks and wears well. I wish Milani would change it's eye formula back to the old formula and then I'd buy most of their eye palettes. Thanks Jen. Blessings!

YES! They sure are. I've just started dealing with them...I got my first one around Thanksgiving and they've been going strong ever since. I'm glad it's winter because I can just step outside and cool off. I don't know what I'm going to do in the summer though!

You can kind of see it when I get to the part where I have one eye done. I just felt like the gold wasn't blending into the green very well. Maybe I chose the wrong colors. :)

The WnW tinted hydrator looks interesting! Jen, I recall you mentioning that you’ve been enjoying the purple/lilac blush trend in some recent videos. Which are your favorite brands that have lilac colors? I’ve tried looking up videos on RUclips but can’t find many people reviewing purple/lilac colors.
I recently got an Etude House lavender blush from Amazon (I believe I showed it in my last haul a few weeks ago). It's pretty but very light in color. My favorite is the cream blush from Lime Crime I showed in another recent haul...it's beautiful! I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but I'll check. They have it at Ulta as well!

It wasn't horrible but just weird. It was like a flush. Then it disappeared within a few minutes and was gone. Then they just started happening regularly, especially when I wear warm clothing. I find that if I wear t- shirts around the house it doesn't happen as much.

I did enjoy this video thanks Jen! It’s sad about the staying power because the entire look came out looking awesome on you. Haloes looks are tricky on hooded eyes I found. I too have hooded eyes that are a few decades more mature.😉🤭 lol it then again I’m 61. I took most of the entire monthly December off from RUclips I found I was watching way too much. Anyways I’ve so missed your channel & need to tell you I’ve come to appreciate your kind sensitive since of humor & appreciate the knowledge you share & how you share your content. I do want to try the Wet N Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator but I wish it had a sunscreen in it like the Neutrogena Protect + Tint Tint Moisturizer. You demonstrated that one and I fell in love with it. The Wet N Wild one looks wonderful on your skin so I might have to try it just because it looks and wears well. I wish Milani would change it's eye formula back to the old formula and then I'd buy most of their eye palettes. Thanks Jen. Blessings!

Loved the outake intro. Perfectly funny. Also really like the zoomed in eye shadow application. It helps to really see things and know what is happening. Also like that you aren't beyond perfect. More relatable 😃. The mascara is ho hum. Like the colors in the eye look. Always love your videos and hauls. Be well.

YES! They sure are. I've just started dealing with them...I got my first one around Thanksgiving and they've been going strong ever since. I'm glad it's winter because I can just step outside and cool off. I don't know what I'm going to do in the summer though!

Happy to hear that wnw has a new concealer! Back in the day they had the best eye primer, until, they changed the formula to "sheer" and it was horrible. I will try out the tinted hydrator, too. Thanks for such thorough reviews on everything. :)

I believe she had her own, but his was Elf's main eye shadow primer. It was like Mac paint pot but better coverage and the perfect color.

I love how you show mascara you on a naked eye. That mascara is exactly what I’m going for....as long as it doesn’t flake.
It's always so hard to really see the lashes if there's eyeshadow and liner! :) And this mascara didn't flake or smudge on me!

Wow in the natural lighting I really couldn’t see any makeup on your face ! I’m glad you said it reminds you of the neutrogena. That’s my favorite foundation but this one is about 1/3 the price!
Yes it's very invisible coverage! But I do think it gives a bit more than the Neutrogena...it's not as sheer.

You can kind of see it when I get to the part where I have one eye done. I just felt like the gold wasn't blending into the green very well. Maybe I chose the wrong colors. :)

The WnW tinted hydrator looks interesting! Jen, I recall you mentioning that you’ve been enjoying the purple/lilac blush trend in some recent videos. Which are your favorite brands that have lilac colors? I’ve tried looking up videos on RUclips but can’t find many people reviewing purple/lilac colors.
I recently got an Etude House lavender blush from Amazon (I believe I showed it in my last haul a few weeks ago). It's pretty but very light in color. My favorite is the cream blush from Lime Crime I showed in another recent haul...it's beautiful! I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but I'll check. They have it at Ulta as well!

This Milani palette can't compete with PML or BH's formula, it was pretty obvious in the swatches. These looked like chalk in comparison! Thank you for your excellent swatching skills Jen! ❤️
Yes they did swatch very chalky in comparison! In person it was even more obvious!
