I found these Ladies because of Band-Maid. I keep finding new bands to listen to, all because of them. And I am enjoying finding new bands and music greatly.
1:30 (Ayari/guitar) Wait a minute. I bought a pudding today, but it was gone when I checked it a minute ago. Somebody ate it? Yona, you did? (Yona/bass) No, I didn't. It was Reoto (guitar). Reoto started punching Hohomi (vo.). (Hohomi/vo.) It hurts! What a heck are you doing? 1:49 (Hohomi) Stop fighting! Don't do that over just a pudding. Let's decide in a best of three games, alright? 1:56 (Ayari) Give my pudding back, seriously! Just a little comedy skit...😏 The drummer is a support member (as far as I know).
They had a drummer who left sometime last year or so.. Then late last year former Hagane drummer KanaKo became their support drummer until the end of this summer (she is in the "Moment. - Live Performance Video"). Since then, their support drummer has been CHiHO. But actually posted today, she is sick for their upcoming show on 10/26 and on short notice KanaKo will fill in.
They’ve always used support drummers-four or five minimum, not including the one in the early Band-Maid covers. The one in this video is Ranna of the band Pinkish Crown.
PaleNeo, Nek!, The Stereogang, and Mellows are all amazing new or newer bands! PaleNeo does regular live streams as well. They have a support drummers. They do a covers of Band-Maid songs as well. Their sound varies as well, not all of their songs have screamo in them. Allegro is their newest release, they put it out about 2 weeks ago.
I think NittPicc just called me a halloweenie :p . You picked 2 of my favorite newish bands this week in NEK! and now PaleNeØ. Both are all original members as they have not had enough time to play the Japanese "musical chairs" we have become accustomed to. I find it pretty amazing with AI and everything else happening nowadays there is still actual music we can enjoy ... and it keeps progressing ;) .
Holy shit! take me down this rabbit hole. That was epic. I don't know what other rabbits holes you've been down, but I recommend looking up The Cost "Her Eyes" and or "Ego Death" by Polyphia.
Well, I think you're more badass than you give yourself credit for 😉and you're welcome to move in next door to me at any time! 😇 So, having seen/heard this name a few times now, it was you who tempted me to hear something new for a change. Thank you! ... And yes, right off the bat I would say that we should keep these ladies on our radar. :) _____________________ _"America invented rock. England improved it. And now, Japan has perfected it."_ Band-Maid | Gacharic Spin | Lovebites | Nemophila | East of Eden | Hanabie | Asterism | Trident | NEK! | Hades | etc.
Paleneo are also an awesome live act they go hard. Love the juxtaposition in this song. I would also like to recommend "komsume - dont think!" "MerginMoon - Activate the Hell" and "Little Lilith - Ladybug"
Yes the girl who's hair you like is Reotto fun fact shes a robot or android i was lucky enough to see them live in Japan and got to meet them they are so lovely i got chekkie with Reotto i said you are robot she said yes I'm robot. soso cute great live very powerful great reaction check ot Mellows and Dimrays 2 awesome Japanese bands
PaleNeO is pronounced "paré-néo". Since the beginning they don't have a permanent drummer, so they always use a support drummer for their performances. Some of their other songs are heavier. Try to react to the live video of their song "Moment." Another awesome all-female band I'd like to suggest is STMLT. You can try to react to their latest song "Antimental", which is their heaviest so far, or their back catalogue that is more to pop rock. Thank you!
There'sd quite a few bands who use support players - drums, bassist, guitars, keyboards, even vocalists at times. I was listening to the PaleNeo CD earlier "Octave" which is very enjoyable. You might like another track by PaleNeo : Fantasia No. 1 in C sharp minor "Melody Thief" 幻想曲第一番嬰ハ短調『旋律泥棒』 Has a gothic feel with western classical undertones. Plus rock energy.
Hello Pretty Princess NittPicc! For whatever it is worth, I think you are pretty cute and a badass too. If I remember correctly, I think this is one of the bands that started by covering Band Maid songs. They are still pretty new and young, so I'm hoping we get more music from them. Please take care and have an amazing week.
PalNeØ are great! I need to listen to them more. Somehow I forget how hard they go. The juxtaposition is a massive part of the appeal for me. Picking off all the outliers that have slipped through the cracks is a great idea! Another group that is hopefully on your "slipped through the cracks so far" list is "Broken By The Scream". They have a similar "cute / badass worlds collide" thing going on. However the are a core / idol group so pretty different group makeup to a group like PalNeØ. A really good introduction is Broken By The Scream - Rising sun mv ruclips.net/video/Ou7i5bUubZs/видео.html
As others have already said, PaleNeØ have relied on several different support drummers rather than a permanent band member, including the former Hagane drummer KanKo. Being a support musician in Japan doesn't have nearly the same kind of stigma as in the West and is a legitimate standalone career choice. Plus you also get a lot of good musicians in mid-tier bands that will also take support gigs to supplement their income, as they don't always make enough consistently from their main projects. For another underrated all female Japanese band, I'd recommend checking out Faulieu (formerly known as fleufleu). All four members have low key chops but I've never seen or heard any of them overplay for the sake of being flashy or to the detriment of the songwriting.
Love PaleNeØ! They do have a new song out but you should check out my favorite song by them its called 水槽にて, which translates to "in the aquarium". I was addicted to that song for like 3 months straight lol. it gives me like 2000s emo vibes.
I love Paleneo very diverse band. I heard their new drummer is from Hagane. Their song Moment. is awesome too, I really love their hardcore side🤘🇯🇵🎸 I second the band Mellows, please check their MV 'closet' it's good!
PAL-UH-NAYO . I LOVE THIS BAND ! the guitarist/backup vocalist that you like is reoto - i am a huge fan of hers. they do live streams quite a bit and she NEVER says one word during them. but her vocals more than make up for it in their mv's. she is kind of mysterious with her look and i just love her ! the goggles and weird ear things are very cool . as she is.
Japan is experiencing a bit of an explosion of youth cultute at the moment. Part of that is rebelling against the repressive social order, and, expressing their individuality through music, and, other art forms.
Back in March, I got to see Palene0 perform with Empress, Sirius, and Venus. Palene0 was the only band not by their table selling merch and meeting fans. All the other bands were selling merch and meeting fans.
You keep using English vowels in reading Japanese band names and song titles. Simply use your SPANISH vowels and read pa-le-ne-o as a Spanish-speaker would read it. There is no English word "pale" in this band name.

Not worry NittPicc! You're both cute and badass! 😇

I could never get used to Yona-chan's 6-string bass. I can literally say this one is massive relative to the person!

Yeah, they go hard and cute.
PalNeØ are fantastic live and Reoto is gorgeous and so sweet when you meet her and yes her hair is fantastic, OK I admit I'm a little in love.

Don't know if you've reacted to Saiseiga yet. They have a new MV out with an album in a few weeks. Pretty hard though.

This is the season, for some Unlucky Morpheus ❤ or should I say Jill's first band with her brother, Rose Noire 🎉
Yes the drummer is hired, recently they have been using ex-hagane drummer Kanako I think her name is, I may be wrong.
Or, PaleNeØ! They are fun, aren't they?
