It is also a great combination, where he drops Levin for the 1st count. Small left, big left, another small left, and then Boom the right, and down Levin went. He had flashes of sheer brilliance.
Great quality, fast upload, thanks a lot! There's still great and tough guys coming from Finland! Aivan mahtavaa. Ei ole MM-ottelu mikään kaukainen haave Heleniukselle. Raskassarjalaiseksi vielä mukavan jännittävä ottelija.
It's nice to see Robert checking out if Attila is OK after the fight ended. It's good sportsmanship I think and it's too rarely seen. Just watched some KO videos and none of them did this gesture even when they almost punched their opponent's head off.
If the ref. had not stopped the fight, he would have killed the half breed. The knock down was incredible,a arm punch with his back against the ropes.I have never seen this kind of power !
This was Robert Helenius at his PRIME. Look onwards 4:10 look that hunger what he has to end that opponent now. Helnius made wrong decisions in his career. Career which ended today 03.04 when he got KO by his opponent.
@nic4r Born in Sweden to Finnish family, has lived most of his life in Porvoo, Finland. Says he's Finnish, has the Finnish flag on his mouthpiece, covers himself with the Finnish flag after he wins...I'm probably insane when I say this but someone might make a case of him being Finnish.
Helenius had told after the fight that attila punchs was very heavy, that he was not going to take them for 12rounds,so he decided to take him out in the 2nd.
@fleiperi mitä sä oikein sekoilet? mähän sanoin että he ovat/olivat suomalasia, äidinkielenään kuitenkin ruotsia. ja hurri on sellainen, eli suomenruotsalainen. hurri on suomenruotsalainen, eikä ruotsalainen. käypä vaikka kattoamassa jostakin sanakirjasta tai jotain.
Peter should be able to punch Robert pretty often, but if Peter thinks he'll just be able to run right thru Robert he'll have a long night of straight jabs.....
@nic4r wrong... he is finnish. sure, he's born in sweden, but that doesnt make him swedish does it? and his mother tongue is swedish as well, but that is also the case for 5% of the finnish population. and finally, he doesn't live in finland currently.
This Helenius guy looks so gangly and un-muscled lol. But hes got good technical ability and a decent punch. Some good youngsters coming through in the heavyweight division. Some great fights coming up, no doubt.
Helenius is smart. He waited and let Levin get confident. Levin didn't keep his hands up and Robert saw this and set him up. I don't think that will work with the ever cautious Wladimir.
@Belajas Nii yhtä lailla se on kirjoitettu väärin, en minäkään mene laittamaan "Suomi" jos kirjoitan englannin kielellä. :D Ton jätkän profiilissa lukee ainakin Maan kohdalla Heardsaari joka on Australiassa, kai siellä puhutaan selvää englantia.
In Finland we have plenty of families which have a " Swedish" surname even though they all are Finns. For example a young icehockey Mikael Granlund. Please dont call anyone idiot if you dont have any clue about finnish society.
Raskaansarjan nyrkkeily on nykyään enemmänkin tekniikkalaji.
Helenius for sure is a finnish fighter. Theres no argument, but i think he appreciate sweden aswell and the fans he have there. I don't think Helenius could have ever been as good if he had lived in sweden. Our boxing program (and laws) are a joke.
Helenius has power, and some skills, and he's being brought along relatively quickly, which shows his team has confidence in him, but if doesn't learn how to move side-to-side he'll be destroyed by a top-ten fighter. Only the Klitchkos can get away with the moving straight back Euro style in the pros (and really, only Vitali without notable consequence) and Helenius is no Vitali. I don't know who's training him, but he needs someone who can at least teach him to circle to his right.
Levin on muuten aiemmin hävinnyt mm. Nikolai Valueville keskeytykselle 3. erässä, että on se ottanut ennenkin matsia kovien kaverien kanssa, silti lensi kanveesiin jo toisessa erässä Heleniuksen käsittelyssä. Robbe on päässyt hyvään talliin harjoittelemaan!
and i think a new heavyweight prospect is larry olibamwo and theres 2 young heavyweight prospect that are good i forget there names they were being shown on ringside on sky sports . i do think derek chisora is very talented if mentored and pushed correctly as i think tyson fury is not
Easy there, tiger. My last name can be considered Swedish, yet I'm a Finn. Finland is bilingual and there's been name changing back and forth for hundreds of years so name alone doesn't tell anything about a person in here. Robert is a Swedish speaking Finn, so he most likely has some Swedish ancestry somewhere, but he's Finnish. Shortly, he's as Swedish as Prince Daniel is Finnish.
Robert is a good puncher, but he didn't use sidesteps, and moves not very clever. He has problems with his deffence. If he wil fight Klitschko, it should be Wlad not Vit, cause Vit will destroy him, and he should improve deffence (Wlad is very powerful puncher as well). First of all good luck to Robert in his clash with Sam Peter.
Good fight, Helenius did great. Much love to Levin, a lot of heart. I didnt like showing Levins wifes reaction to her husband losing. The proper time to do that during rounds or between them. That was straight up wrong and in bad taste
@Tropicalmix100 You'll have a hard time selling me the idea that someone who stands 6.61/2 and weighs 245 is no heavyweight. IMO Haye hasn't done much to impress me as a heavyweight. He ran from the monster, KO'd Ruiz who was always weak, shot, and has a history to losing to former champs stepping up to heavyweight. Fraudly was never anything. All he does is talks tought about fighting the Klit Bros. Who do you think is a good heavyweight prospect?
Sauerland on pätevä vaihtoehto.
@rickman125 yeah he hasnt dont much but there is no denying he has bought a little interest back into the heavy weights division no denying that if he had heart and wasnt ducking the division would be golden but i cant see people like this guy making the heavyweight division any good it might just be me prefering older heavyweight fighters and times but no denying if haye had the mindstate of a fighter and not a ducker he would be unified heavyweight champion
No surprise here, Attila dont have his heart in boxing anymore. He has already retired once before. Would be nice to see big Modo Sallah go pro, he has already beaten Helenius 4 times as an amateur. It would be Finland vs Sweden 2. Of course Helenius is much better right now, boxing here in Sweden is shit right now.
No, it wouldn't make you Finnish. Like I used your prince as an example, he's not Finnish by any means, simply descends from one somewhere in history. Helenius is a similar case. About the names in Finland... we were part of the realm of Sweden for hundreds of years, so many people changed their names to Swedish ones. If you joined the army, became a nobility etc. you had to change your name to a Swedish one. That is also how my last name was changed from Dutch to Swedish.
we miss that helenius, he could actually move
It is also a great combination, where he drops Levin for the 1st count. Small left, big left, another small left, and then Boom the right, and down Levin went. He had flashes of sheer brilliance.
yep.Now he doesn’t move at all and he is pretty much out of gas after two rounds.
He is In.

no doubt Robert Helenius great fighter !
3:42 "Back him up to the ropes!"

Yes, correct. I just wonder if Helenius 2016 could have lasted even one round against Helenius 2010.
LeDari I think helenius looks great now that he's come back, we'll see against Chisora
Underated boxer of our generation
Best up and coming heavyweight out there. Possible future champion.
