Why in the world does this video only have 509 views? This is better than a lot of baseball RUclipsrs I follow.

In England, we have a similar thing with cricket. Professional cricket teams will often play at 'out-grounds' on occasion, but that would be ike a one off game or whatever rather than regular matches away from the main ground
EDIT: Just realised that the background music was Gran Turismo's menu music, nice!

Also to note: Montreal (as the Expos) tried this as well during their final lame-duck year in Montreal, when they played half their home games in Puerto Rico.

Something similar happened w the Kings in the NBA. From 1972-75 they were the Kansas City-Omaha Kings, splitting home games between the 2 cities. Playing games in Omaha was only a temporary arrangement until a modern arena could be constructed in KC. Fans in Omaha started getting excited about the team, since Omaha had no other major team sports pro teams. The team made the playoffs in 1975 but the playoffs were played in KC. The new KC arena opened for the 1975-76 season and that was the end of pro basketball in Omaha.
Owners will play games wherever they can make the most money and I'm sure that will be true for the Rays if MLB allows them to play some home games in Montreal. I think it's possible that MLB might allow this to happen. Once before, a MLB team played home games in another city. The Expos played some games (20, I think) in San Juan in both 2003 and 2004. I saw a couple of these games San Juan in 2004. San Juan was a completely unsuitable MLB city but MLB was using this as a ploy try to cultivate interest in other cities in having the Expos move to another city. Of course, they did move to Washington the next year. So, if MLB thinks that Montreal is a more viable for a MLB team than Tampa (which it probably is), they'll allow this in order to encourage this to happen. This would seem very feasible if Montreal approves a new stadium. As it stands now, I guess the Rays would have to play in old Olympic Stadium.

Another great video man. Always seems wild to me why these companies are always so desperate to compete in a crowded market rather then carve their own grassroots support from a town loyal to them.

True, it's not like Sendai was devoid of problems though, like the aforementioned lack of a high-speed railway.
Lotte did learn their lesson, it took them till 1992 but they did. Then they almost squandered that in 2004, but at least sense prevailed in that case.

Montreal Canadiens have taken the vast majority of professional sports marketshare in Montreal.
With Alouettes of CFL and CF Montreal of MLS giving the alternative choices, Rays’ plan to split play between Tampa and Montreal is definitely DOA.

Its Bills in Toronto all over again.
And most Torontonians are Bills fans. Montrealers are mostly Nats, BoSox and Jays fans from what I gather.

It’s such a clear move to force one of the cities to pay for a state of the art stadium. Every point you list and then some is why it makes zero sense to split half your home games. The only team maybe happy about this is the Blue Jays. I just can’t wait for the day that the problem child relocation threatening teams in the A’s and Rays finally settle down.

I actually have series in the works about NPB Legends, as well as some deep dives into teams. Problem is that I just keep hitting brick walls on footage and pictures.
Like I've had an Ichiro video on the table for about 2 months now but I keep hitting brick walls. Ochiai is on the list of legends I plan to do videos about. When that will happen is a question of what footage is available.

tampa does not have a fan base in montreal they would and boston and new york are in driving distance natural rivalry with toronto makes sense to put them there.

You're kind of missing the point. I'm not against the Rays moving to Montreal, in fact I'm all for it.
I'm against them trying this two cities approach, which is what Lotte tried to do, and I feel it will inevitably fail in the same way that the Orions to Sendai experiment failed. If you're not going to commit full-time, don't bother moving in the first place.
