@@AMDetails Alan, when you do that can you cover the cloth use, are any completely sacrificed after buffing the coating or does it safely wash out. I cant offer ceramics as Im mobile only but very interested in the whole process.
Hey @Garry Talbot, firstly I wanna suggest you try our AM Hybrid Sealant and Range. It was designed to assist in the gap you are in. Mobile retailers or people who don't have garages/units. Quick to apply and instant protection. Long durability and gives PH resistance and ceramic water behaviour. Just zero scratch resistance. Cloths we drop in a bucket of cleaner, wash, and then use around the office or in the chemical shed. Coating cloths never go back to a car, so for me they are a coating expense every time so put in your pricing. 👍🔔
Great video Alan, look forward to playing with those new microfibre pads. Love the coating processes and explanation, just like a doctors surgery in that process.
Glad the videos are back, what’s the idea of the slow degreaser before panel wipe and do you always do this after ceramic and before Exo? Or was it left overnight. Thanks 😊
Great question. Will do my best to explain in text. Gtechniq panel wipe "truth serum", haha. It is excellent for preparing panels for Gtechnic coatings and is recommended by Gtechniq. But it's aggressive. So I use a slow degreaser to remove any oils, particulates, residue etc. As it's less aggressive. So then, when I use technic panel wipe, it preps the panel and only has a little "if anything" to remove. If I just go straight to panel wipe, I find that I can create issues. I believe this is due to the panel wipe removing 100% of the oils, residue etc., in one spray and wipe. So it fills the MF with these quickly and can be grabby or then causes the MF with the residue to mar the surface... So I use slower decreases first... Remove the residue In stages. So when panel wipe comes, it maybe gets the remaining 10-20% (complete guess, for example, only) I use a slow degreaser a lot as it's a preference. But always use panel wipe before coating application as it's gtechniq guidance. REFERENCE EXO We applied the EXO coating the following day. Giving CSU over 12 hours on the vehicle before EXO. Hope this helps.
Thanks for that, sounds like a good thing to do. Do you sell the slow degreaser or could you point me where to buy from as I’ve had same issue with Gtechniq panel wipe. 👍🏼
Can we blow this damn channel up! I've been sub'd for a while and I've been patiently waiting for Alan and this channel to grow like wild fire. Keep it up brother!!!
