I have rode this ride probably over 20 times. I have never felt the kind of pain you are describing in this review. I have sat front, center, and back, and pain is never a problem. I am 5'11 so maybe it is a height thing for you as you were saying. I personally find the restraints comfortable. I also don't notice much rattle on the ride either. But then again, I have not ridden these other RMC coasters you mentioned, so perhaps they are smoother. The weakness for me may just be the second half of the ride. It is obviously not as good or as intense as the first half. The first turn around after the break run is actually quite intense, but the airtime hills afterwards aren't to memorable. I highly recommend sitting in the back seat. You will get the most intensity there. The drop is more intense and the airtime is stronger. If you go as a single rider there is a decent chance you can get the back seat if it is open and everyone in front of you is in a group. The ride operators normally always ask for single riders.

@@josephmoore5949 thanks for your comment! I definitely will try some of your tips the next times that I ride. I’ve been on 3 other RMCs and there’s a noticeable difference in smoothness between them and this, so that could be why the slight rattle on JDC is noticeable to me.
I think I figured out the restraint issue. When the restraints are super tight, that’s when the hip pain is noticeable because your legs end up being really slanted like an A-Frame. What I’ve started doing is, I widen my legs when they are pushing the restraints down and that creates more comfort and room between the restraints and my thighs as I ride. It’s still not what I would consider comfortable, but it’s much better than before.
I agree with the second half being of less quality. Regular RMC coasters tend to be relentless and JDC kinda slows down at the end. It’s still a better ride than the majority of what is at Great Adventure, but it doesn’t even compare to rides like Twisted Timbers, Wicked Cyclone, or Lightning Rod.
My hope is that as I ride it more, my opinion of it gets better and better. Sometimes that is definitely the case with coasters. Thanks again for watching and for your comment!!!!

This ride gets wayyy too much hate fr
The seating position is horrible though, if they found a way to put an rmc hybrid lap bar on here it’d be infinitely better imo

@@SRR475 it’s got a lot of good moments and elements, I was just in too much pain to enjoy them. I’m definitely going to get more rides on it, but I’m disappointed that it didn’t rank higher for me.

@@CoastinWithQuayz yeah, if you ride near the front, the pain is less for me. Also the rattle is not great, overall I still think it’s a good ride just not as good as it could’ve been.
