That's wonderful to hear! Thank you for your loyal support! Yes, he was in fact quit low on the ranking, but happy to see his name pop up in the comments.
Oooo, I met Candice Breitz because she is a professor at the art college in Braunschweig where I live. At the end of the semester, her class (as well as other studios) presents their work in public, it called Rundgang. To get into her studio at the university there is a big competition because many students who want to work with new media want exactly her as their mentor.
Couldn't agree more! My first thoughts were exactly the same when I saw the top 20 results. Nevertheless, I really like this selection with some names I didn't expect, but fully enjoy having discovered their work.
Thank you for presenting this video. I'm wondering how you are differentiating between video art and performance art that then becomes a video piece? The number one artist comes into the latter category. I agree with another comment saying that Nam Jun Paik is sadly missing. But I did enjoy this and will seek out other presentations in this series
also, as much as I am not a fan, perhaps Matthew Barney is worth a mention. The comments here are quite diverse and add many names according to the preference of the authors which shows that a list of the top 20 is a redundant idea - perhaps made redundant by actually trying to make the list.

I would add Peter Campus, Woody Vasulka, Steina Vasulka and Gary Hill.
Thank you for tuning in and for a great question. It depends on the artwork, of course. Sometimes as the full installation, sometimes just the rights (similar to owning a digital work with NFTs). Have a great day!
Before talking about an artist, you should also know which country he comes from and the history of that country and you will understand that Albania has never had a civil war

Nam June Paik is indeed a shocking absentee from these top 20 results, hence mentioning him at the end of the video as my personal suggestion for this top 20. Thank you for tuning in!

shout out to your dog constantly changing positions as you film this :)
Absolutely 😂 She's the best!
Love this channel. Always putting me on to new artists to explore. Surprised not to see Paul Mccarthy on this list.

What a great story! And rightfully so in my humble opinion, she's a terrific speaker as well. Great artist with a great personality.
너무 감사합니다. 제가 원하던 내용이였어요. 어디서부터 시작해야할지 드디어 갈피를 잡게되네요😊
Very informative! Would have loved to see Joan Jonas on the list. Yvonne Rainer could have been relevant too.
I taught Nam June Paik was gonna be the first. Vito Acconci was also missing

The presenter mentions Nam June Paik at the end of e video. Am not sure that Acconci's videos stand up these days - it seems a tad sleezy.
Your dog is so adorable !!!
She is! ❤

Great suggestion
def a list of 2 halves - initially a lot of dreary oppression farmers, second half better - but where the hell is Nam June Paik?
Nam June Paik is indeed a shocking absentee from these top 20 results, hence mentioning him at the end of the video as my personal suggestion for this top 20. Thank you for tuning in!
Alfredo Jaar ?
A: Not art.
