I just have this to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them turn an anime I grew up with into live action and the cinematography was absolutely spellbinding the action sequences perfect very well done very good production.
Takeru Satoh, the actor who plays Kenshin, had a blog/journal when they were still shooting the first movies and I would read it religiously. He said he had only 3 months to prepare for the role including extensive sword training. The schedule was rigorous and he said there wasn't a muscle or joint in his body that didn't hurt or ache daily. He nearly killed himself doing the stunts. He also had a few close calls. That scene in the second movie where he's running on top of a house is real and done on a real house and without safety ropes. He nearly fell. He also mentioned in a journal that he was constantly eating and hungry just to keep up with the amount of intensive stunt and training he had to do. When the cast went together for dinner, while everyone was finished with their meal, Takeru was still eating. The guy who plays Kanryu Takeda was like "You're still ordering?!" They kind of teased him about it. In an interview with the actor who plays Shisio, he kept telling Takeru to take it easy because he saw how much work he was putting and he didn't want Takeru to strain himself.

The fight with Shishio when Sanosuke , Kenshin , and Goro was incredible. So Perfectly done. I’m glad they changed the brutal head split and didn’t go back on the Vow that kenshi made. When aoshi came out of no where I had chills up my spine all 4 of them teaming up on shishio and them still losing was nuts. Imagine if shishio wasn’t burned and wasn’t timed. I just watched the trilogy the past three days. I’m totally amazed at how well all three were. I never heard of this and I’m not into anime. At 64 years old all I do in spare time is watch movies and practice my bass guitar. This absolutely floored me and I’m now dying to view Kyoto Inferno but can’t find it anywhere. C'n see why these star actors have a huge fan-base; amazing action acting. You don't one day just wake up in the morning and go out & do that stuff; fitness & stamina with concentrated hard work training, training & more training: yeah, these guys have earned their Sake... Gumbare!
I've been watching this anime since i was in elementary and it is my favorite anime. This action movie really exceed my expectations. Kudos to the team! I'm looking forward for the coming movies.
I don't really know what tf happened to the original anime because it kinda got forgotten over the years. I just wish a good studio will step up to remake the original Rurouni Kenshin anime and finish the manga because to my knowledge the remaining arcs weren't animated. This anime is a classic but is not that known by the new generation so remaking it would be a great opportunity to bring this anime back to life into the modern era and if that happens I hope Takeru Satoh and the rest of the live action cast will voice the characters they portrayed.
I've already watched through all the movies recently but this makes me want to watch them again for the fight scenes. I'm also obsessed with the scoring of these movies. So good!
These clips include the most intense, beautifully choreographed live action swordplay I've ever seen. These actors/stunt persons are masters of their 'combined' crafts (acting - which is no easy undertaking by itself, stunt work and weapon(s) specialization after several years of their chosen martial arts training). It's always a pleasure, and interesting watch as, in every fight sequence in this series title, these master craftsmen move faster than the recording frame rate, usually 24-30 frames PER SECOND. Truly incredible to view and, in my opinion, very high review value. Kudos and cheers!
The Beginning, streaming now on Netflix is the best! Lots of insane bloody fighting but the love story is the heart of it. It's amazing how the love scene between Kenshin and Tomoe was highlighted with only one kiss and yet you feel their strong connection with one another. It's so sweet and touching. In U.S. movies, the love scenes will be lots of sex scenes. I know Tomoe will die having watched the other Rurouni Kenshin movies, but still, it's heartbreakingly sad.
I love this movie I watched Origins, Kyoto Inferno, and The Legend Ends can't wait for the new one I saw the trailer it's amazing, and the new villain Enishi
As a young girl, I remember watching the OG anime on Toonami. I loved the story so much. I even read the manga. Since 2012 (around the time the RK live action movies came out) to now, this story had inspired me to take up Bujinkan, Muai Thai, and other martial arts as well. RK's story holds a special place in my little geek heart. The live action movies are fantastic that I'll never get tired of rewatching them.
The amount of choreography is crazy...Satoh Takeru is just impressive . This movie made me love him. I want to see the blue eyes samurai season 2 in this level😅
I remember how years ago when I used to teach art to grade schoolers and my students would use as their subject anything Rurouni Kenshin even on still life drawings (they would decorate a vase with his face lol) and I really get frustrated sometimes threatening them of getting a low mark if I see Kenshin on their art work...so many years later, I’m a huge fan of both the anime and live versions. 🤣🥰
Everything about this series is awesome. And I’m no anime fan, yet. My fave by far was Jin e, his back turn stab on Battosai made my eyes open and jaw drop when I saw it. All characters in all movies were casted brilliantly, the actors all became the roles so well. Enishi’s emotional journey in the final was excellent, Saito grew on me with every movie, I could go on for ages. From Kaoru’s benevolence to Aoshi’s inner demons, and of course, Seijuro XIII mastery and wisdom. I was disappointed that it portrayed the shogunate in this way, as in real life the Jesuits and the black ships brought nothing but evil to the land of the Rising Sun, installing Puppet Meiji. But alas, the perfect samurai series, and will never be beaten. Ken shin acted perfectly in every scene, in every movie. God bless..
I finally saw the FINAL last night. Great series! Little sad there won't be anymore. Sano was really funny. He so confident but always gets his ass kicked. LOL.
Have you seen The BEGINNING? I saw the FINAL two days ago. What a masterpiece. I’m looking forward to see THE BEGINNING. I think that’s the last one, prequel to THE FINAL.
@@abeleyob8311 tbh kinda confused with the titles. is there a separate movie called The Beginning? cuz I've seen trailers that say The Beginning / The Final etc. and I thought it was the same movie. Rented the first movie on Netflix. I'll be watching the other two soon. Liked the first one quite a bit. Even at more than two hours it was still worth my time.
I've loved this live adaptation as a movie. It has a lot of those action-packed battles but there were times that it was more of an explanations and segments that are left out sometimes. Even though this were changes to the story, i still like how they progress them just as a canon would do.
I just finished watching The last installment of this Film series and came directly here to RUclips to reminisce. It's been years since i last seen the first three. I still have to watch the 4th one.
Ken Sato plays the main character Kenshin This person's sword fighting technique is a very beautiful way of handling a sword that does not shake the body's core and axis, and is capable of cutting people.

Till date, I am still amazed & nothing can beat the excellent fighting scenes / movements in Samurai X. Best live action! 🖤
柏崎役の田中 泯さん、本当に年齢を感じさせない躍動感あふれる殺陣で感服した。

This is gold!
This is samurai sword craft done right.
This is one of the best series you will ever watched highly recommended.
For me these Trilogy Movies are the BEST ACTION MOVIE EVER!!!
Congratulation to Satoh San and Team, very well done for your masterpiece, impressive and very entertaining.
Much much much better than Hollywood :)
I've been waiting for these movies to get more attention for soooo long I'm glad it's finally happening
Why is it so hard to find?
the best.. brilliant.. genius.. lightning swords fighting ever in history of swords fighter movie!! ..salute battousai!!
I really felt dizzy seeing how kenshin moves !!!! I really love the anime but this is EXCELLENT !!! ALL THE CAST PORTRAY exactly how those in the anime characters !!!!
Those fighting scenes .. it so amazing to watch !!!
Best swordplay of any samurai movie
The creator being a horrible human being aside. Rurouni Kenshin is literally GOATED.
An amazing anime AND 5...5 spectacular Live Action Adaptations.
Why is the creator being a horrible human being?

I literally shed manly tears after watching the movies.
eventhough I'm a lady.. I still shed my die-hard-fans tears after watching the movies. Feel like been respect!
I literally binged all the movies in a day. Like it’s just that damn good. Hats off to everybody involved 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 BRA-FREAKING-VO💯
Where to watch?
where u found them? i just learned that this is the 4th movie, and idk if i should wait for the others to drop somewhere, i was pretty excited to see it on Netflix, somebody should of done a better job promoting this. Probably will end up renting it on amazon, 3 bucks each movie not bad. I really thought that was the movie that came out in 2012 Netflix got it in all languages. Edit: i just found the movies on funimation. So i guess ill watch those first then the Netflix one, since they are dropping a new one this month. RUROUNI KENSHIN: The beginning July 30
@@plush18 you...have detailed my life for the next 48 hours...arigatogozaimashita!
@@DylanfollowerofYah each movie is about 2hrs long so I'll watch them tru the week, I decided to watch Yasuke instead so far so good.
@@plush18 watched the new ip man and the first kenshin movie....epic...and I loved the animated Yusuke...being darker and American I love the idea of any non Japanese samurai, few as they may be lol
The best live-action Japanese manga movie series even surpasses the original
I don't really know what tf happened to the original anime because it kinda got forgotten over the years. I just wish a good studio will step up to remake the original Rurouni Kenshin anime and finish the manga because to my knowledge the remaining arcs weren't animated. This anime is a classic but is not that known by the new generation so remaking it would be a great opportunity to bring this anime back to life into the modern era and if that happens I hope Takeru Satoh and the rest of the live action cast will voice the characters they portrayed.
Man this is the best movie traditional samurai warrior spirit its best to watch I AM HUGE BIG FAN. HONOR INTEGRITY AND PURITY OF BRAVERY AND COURAGE.
Scenes were not sped up and the actors did all of their stunts especially Takeru as Kenshin.
They made these movies with so much love, they're works of art.
I know Tomoe will die having watched the other Rurouni Kenshin movies, but still, it's heartbreakingly sad.
they saved the best for last
I love this movie I watched Origins, Kyoto Inferno, and The Legend Ends can't wait for the new one I saw the trailer it's amazing, and the new villain Enishi
Read the Manga.
I love how Kenshin didn't have to cry out the names of any of his techniques and we still know what each and every one of them is.
If the new Star Wars trilogy uses this kind of choreography, that would be amazing!
I think i really need to watch the live action movies, this looks hella good
The Best Live Action Samurai Movies
Samurai X is my favorite anime and the live action movies of Samurai X are the best. ❤️
Takeru satoh,, still my best rurouni Kenshin,, actor,, until now,, ☺️😊😆
Wishing Takeru Satoh will just wear this kind of hairstyle real life and live out our fantasy haha
The very best swordsmanship I have seen on film to date !
I watched all the movies in one day because I was that entertained!! A splendid, phenomenal series 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Damn , over 10 hours of movies , 👍
i did the same, couldent stop after the first one, so damn good
How many are there? And where did u watch them?
@@gabrielquintanilla7118 I think there are 6 and I watched them on third party websites 😅
The amount of choreography is crazy...Satoh Takeru is just impressive . This movie made me love him. I want to see the blue eyes samurai season 2 in this level😅
This is one of the best trilogy since The Matrix. I love it.
Its not trilogy anymore, they had 5 movies for kenshin live action
Rurouni kenshin
Kyoto inferno
The legend end
The final
The beginning
@@son9626 thanks. I will have to get the others. I have a collection but only 3.

日本の映画で一番すごいと思ってる。越えれへんやろ、これ
My favorite of all time, can't even remembered the number of times I've watched this
I urge people to watch all this part films there 3/4 parts and amazing sword fighting and visual effects
😇😇🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥶🥶🥶🤠🤠🤠🤠🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥸🥸🥸🥸😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Man, I gotta salute the Director & Choreographer for doing such an immaculate job with these actor’s !
crazy part is, he reversed hjs blade in order not to kill and was still the best.
Should have used a normal sword against Shishio though.
Behind the cool swordplay, there is a very touching story and that is what makes this film so good
5:03 favorite fight scene.
Absolutely the best film I have ever seen. 😊❤
God bless..
Just finished this movie... I'm so in love with the lead character he is absolutely beautiful!!!...can't wait to watch the other movies...
The one I watched has a lot of flashbacks so I just assume it was a prequel/sequel in one movie. it was 2 hours long.
@@webmasterd Ya that was the FINAL. Buckle up for the last one bro.... THE BEGINNING is about his past life when he was a real killer and so on. We gonna see the real Himura Batosai now
@@abeleyob8311 OK... i just searched "beginning" again and yeah... looks like there's a separate movie. I thought they were being released back to back or something guess that's why I got fused if they were two movies in one, the same movie or what? Lol. But looks good! In a way I don't feel it's needed cuz in the Final his past was already explained pretty well. But of course this is more detailed and I'm all for milking it! Lol.
@@abeleyob8311 I’ve seen The Beginning in theaters and it was an absolutely beautiful piece of film!
How did I not know this ... 😮 Wait, what! This is awesome!!!!!
The only love action adaptation that highlighted the fights than the outfit to bring the anime on life.
I have watched them all! Great story!
Rented the first movie on Netflix. I'll be watching the other two soon. Liked the first one quite a bit. Even at more than two hours it was still worth my time.
I can’t find in Netflix
Can't wait for The Beginning. That's going to be bloody!
July 30 on netflix
For real. Since its the prequel, he will actually kill. The Beginning of Battousai
Best fighting scenes. The developing relationship between Tomoe and Kenshin beautifully done. The Beginning is the best.
I've loved this live adaptation as a movie. It has a lot of those action-packed battles but there were times that it was more of an explanations and segments that are left out sometimes. Even though this were changes to the story, i still like how they progress them just as a canon would do.
These live action Kenshin movies are probably the best adaptation of an anime I’ve ever watched.
My favorite anime growing up and my favorite adaptation as a grown up.
I just finished watching The last installment of this Film series and came directly here to RUclips to reminisce. It's been years since i last seen the first three. I still have to watch the 4th one.
Ken Sato plays the main character Kenshin
This person's sword fighting technique is a very beautiful way of handling a sword that does not shake the body's core and axis, and is capable of cutting people.
i often watch it over and over again, cz since i was little i also liked watching the anime, Takeru Satoh also played it very epic and cool, for me this is the best live action ,love it
Wow, the choreography in this show raises the bar.
Man seeing shishio burst into flames just like he did in the anime just made me jump out of my seat!!😂😂❤❤❤❤😊
One of the best live action movie of all time along with alita battle angel
It,s so wonderful
映画館で観たかった
I cant even imagine how tired the actors were after each shoot. fighting like that looks freaking exhausting.
Best live action adaptation of an anime. Hands down
that damn google surprising me at 2021 with this video in recommendations, and i'm going to refresh this anime after about 20 years. and, i guess, i should give a try to these movies cuz fight scenes are damn good
Jin’ei was my favorite part until today when I saw how they nailed Enishi! The fact that he is played by Kamen Rider Skull……icing on the damn cake!
Well Kenshin actor Takeru played Kamen Rider Den-o so there's that
