This is exactly what I have been looking for. Literally, anytime I look for home theater content it's Youthman, followed by Youthman, guest starring, yep you guessed it, f'ing Youthman lol. Seriously though, this was concise, informative, and inspiring. Subbed. Love the music too (synthwave)!
This home theater is amazing! Super detailed. The equipment is legit, the room is perfect and the seating looks awesome! Having a dedicated space is legit. Great job!!!
Good job, brother. I have a very similar space in my basement. Every time I am sitting there, I think “This is some of the best money I have ever spent.” Glad to hear you enjoy your space. You did an excellent job.
Do you need the Aircom since you use external amplification? My Denon is cold to the touch and I use external amplification as well. Getting rid of it would cut down on the noise that you described.
It is a DIY job. All MDF including the middle column. I filled the cavity of the column with sand. I used the same paint as the walls. And, the speaker sits on a piece of foam adhered to the top. It is a solid stand.
Amazing job on the home theater man. I love it. I have done many of the things that you have detailed in your video, so I know how much work you have put into it.
Fantastic job! You're right about acoustic panels, that's one of the easiest least expensive ways to improve sound. I know what you mean about cable management, mine always looks like a rats nest. That's something I'm going to have to try to better on my current build.
Great setup but you can eliminate that ac infinity fan on top of the Denon. You have it completely open and since you're using it as a preamp, it isn't generating as much heat as it would on its own since the AB amp I side is bare being used if at all. 👍🏽
Great setup, I’m new to the Atmos. I was always happy with my system as a 5.2. But since I’ve been surfing RUclips I’ve been thinking of upgrading my set. Right now for the fronts Polk Audio 11t and Polk center (small center) Polk Audio bookshelf speakers two Velodyne Subwoofers 8 & 10 inch speaker. And rear ceiling Polks. All threw Sony 7.2 Receiver and a Sony BDP S300 Blu-Ray Player. Mitsubishi 65 inch DLP TV. I’m waiting for the Onkyo RZ50 receiver to get back in the stores pairing it with a Emotiva A5 power amp and a larger Center Speaker. The room that it’s in now is just a spare Bedroom 12x13x8. Need to finish my basement to the size of 11x30x8. And add a 120 inch widescreen. Do you have a list of what you’re setup is?
We have very similar equipment. I’m using klipsch towers at all ear level locations, SVS subs, prime elevation for atmos, denon 3600h, ac infinity, Ben q 3550. Valencia Tuscany for the front row. I even have a small millennium falcon sitting on one of my towers lol! Nice room.
Your room looks great! You should be proud of all your DIY work as it looks pro from here. Once you tackle the wire management it will look even better.
At the time of my purchase, if I remember correctly, I saved about $200 per seat on the Seatcrafts. The leather is real. The notable differences between the two is the power lumber, softer feel of the Valencia and the control buttons on the Valencia are always on. The Seatcraft control buttons are not luminated. If you are deciding between the two, I would say Valencia is the better buy. I liked their customer service, the added lumber function (if you think you would use it) and the leather feels softer and smoother. Both are quality seats.
Thank you! The RP-260s were originally my fronts. But, I came across the RP-8000s and could not pass them up. Instead of selling the RP-260s and buying more speakers, I decided to move the RP-260s to the rear. Not the best for those in the back seats but works for the front row. Nothing at this point is final with anything in my room.
Agreed. I was surprised by the picture quality. And, for the price, it is a steal. I actually just bought a Sony VW325ES. I am excited to get it unboxed. I have already seen one in action. But, very curious to see a side-by-side with the HT3550.
Congrats on your theater. I'm in the beginning stags of building mine. I like both the Tuscany and the Diamante but there's a significant difference in price. Is the Tuscany significantly better than the Diamante? Thanks
My main seat is the Tuscany loveseat in the front row. I almost always sit there but I like both seats. The Valencia has a noticeably softer feel which I prefer to the stiffer Seatcraft. And, the Valencia has power lumber. To me, that is not especially important because I do not often use it. The control buttons on the Valencia are always illuminated. That might be a distraction for some. I thought it would be a bother but it is not. I actually prefer it. The Seatcraft buttons are not illuminated at all and I always hit the wrong buttons when the lights are out. If you do not mind spending a bit more, I would recommend the Valencia. I found them more comfortable. But, if you prefer a firmer seat and do not need the power lumber, the Seatcraft is a good option.
Much appreciated. Going AT did cross my mind more than once. But, I do like seeing everything. If I ever decide to go with a larger screen, I will definitely have to go AT.
Thank you. The center stand was another DIY project. It is all MDF. The center column consists of four pieces of MDF--screwed and glued together. I filled the cavity inside with sand. It is heavy and solid. The black paint is the same Tricorn Black I used on the walls. And, I adhered a thin piece of foam to the top that the speaker rests on. I like projects and this was fun. It also saved me a few pennies. And, I can roll that back into funds for future equipment.
Awsome room man! I also appreciated the detail you did in the video from the build process to equipment. I was going to ask you what color grey did you use and I was surprised when you said tricorn black. I actually might do that now in my room. I think that your color choice really helps your black levels. Looks great. I am going to throw 2 suggestions at you. First it would be cool to have a little table behind the 2nd row with bar stools. 2nd you should look into bass shakers or a hoverboss especially for those late night movies. Look forward to your updates. I subscribed to channel
Thank you! The Tricorn Black looks fantastic. It is in the black color family. The video may make it look greyer than it is in person. I was hesitant to paint the entire room in black but it turned out perfect. The grey I had was Satin Black. As I started painting with the Satin Black, something just looked off to my eyes. I am glad a made the change Yes, bass shakers are on my to-do list. The back row seats are Seatcraft and came with shakers. I just need an amp for them. I will have to add shakers to the front row.
Aww man there is nothing to nitpick on this one! 🤨 Well Thought Out and well executed. Great job 👍 Being a tradesman myself,, I can appreciate the amount of work that is involved to build a home theatre of this size and as you alluded to, its also far more gratifying plus I would like to add... it's also far more reachable/feasible for us average viewers! Even though I have a full Atmos setup, I'm more of a 2-channel listener and I like to ask... Have you tried experimenting by bringing your front stage speakers forward 18", might help with boundary gain plus it might also help, considering where you're acoustic panels happens to be placed! Aw look, here I go again 'nitpicking' ... I knew I'd find something. I'm terrible 😁
Thank you! I do plan to take some time and experiment with speaker placement. Sounds amazing already. But, I like to tinker and see what improvements can be made. Always something to do but its fun.
This build is inspiring and an AMAZING job. Having done this myself allow me to share some things that may help. Your wire problem is fixable and you do not have to do a thing to them! ruclips.net/video/lSAp7aqZFfE/видео.html This is a product called Fabricmate that isn't the cheapest, but you can frame fabric sized squares, and cover over the wires on the wall. You can remove those acoustic treatments and replace them with the 703 under the stretched fabric. Use black velvet up front and you will be in pitch black dark. I framed my front sound stage and it cost me about $500 to do it right, including ceiling. Hope this helps.
BTW, You may want to get a rack with side walls and a glass cabinet front. Turn it sideways OR, cut a hole from the family room into the sidewall and frame it out into the theater. This will allow you to put the rack in the side room and gives great access to the back for the wiring.
Very nice home theater. It really pays to be able to do diy projects. It shows the time and love you put into your build. You have a new sub

I love what you did with your Home Theatre, thanks for sharing. Great job!

You did GREAT! Enjoy the heck out of it.
Thank you!
A++ Nice home theater!
You did a fantastic job on this room! I love it 👍👍
Much appreciated! Thank you.
Nice job. Almost done DIYing mine. Taking me forever. Not sure I could ever DIY another. I'm exhausted...lol.
I remember the feeling. It can be rough and long. But, I think you will find it well worth of the time and effort.
Beautiful . Great job with all the all the details
Thank you so much!
This is a great space, thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
Absolutely amazing!! I also built mines during the covid and I can relate with the whole learning curve. Great job!
Yes indeed. It was a long rough ride but well worth it in the end. Thank you.
Do you need the Aircom since you use external amplification? My Denon is cold to the touch and I use external amplification as well. Getting rid of it would cut down on the noise that you described.
I am keeping the fan for my own peace of mind. There is added noise but at this point its become a part of the experience and I rarely notice it.
Awesome theatre room what stand are you using for your Rp-450 Center Speaker? @StillBlue
It is a DIY job. All MDF including the middle column. I filled the cavity of the column with sand. I used the same paint as the walls. And, the speaker sits on a piece of foam adhered to the top. It is a solid stand.

WOW nice job the paint looks amazing.
Thanks 👍
Wow great video!

Hope my single garage conversion in the UK looks as good as this when I've finished.
Much appreciated. Thank you.

Much appreciated! I continue to push wire management to the bottom of my to-do list.
@@stillbluehometheater1056 Yeah my wire management is kept under a trap door just beneath my to-do list🙂

Good set-up! The Benq HT3550 is a sneaky good projector.
do you prefer your seatcraft or valencia seats? looking to buy soon.
Take a look at my review of the seats: ruclips.net/video/Teolt_jErck/видео.html
Nice setup!
Thanks!
Great room and video. keep up the good work 😊
Thank you!
Your room looks great! You should be proud of all your DIY work as it looks pro from here. Once you tackle the wire management it will look even better.
Thank you. Yes, I have delayed and delayed the inevitable. But, at some point I have to work on my wire management. I will get there.
how did you mount atmos speakers on the ceiling?
They came is a mounting bracket from SVS.
Are those seat craft real leather ? And were they less than the valencia
At the time of my purchase, if I remember correctly, I saved about $200 per seat on the Seatcrafts. The leather is real. Nice Theater.
Love the room. I have a feeling you do a faux wall and go with a transparent screen in the future. I have subbed to your channel.

Random question, do you have texture or berber carpet in your theater?
I believe its texture.
