The late 80's and the 90's where the Golden age of Nascar!! Nascar peaked in the mid 90's and began to go down hill in
      The early 2,000's!!

I had met most of these guys at one time or another! Knew Junior Johnson well! Junior and my dad were developing a connecting rod! Sure do miss his jokes, and good conversation!

the funniest story to me was the ambulance door coming open and Buddy Baker rolled out the back across the track.

These days, they hardly ever talk about the old days. I've seen films and shows from that showed the early days of racing, but not enough. These days I try to pay tribute to the heroes of the golden eras like Buddy Baker, Cale Yarborough, Bobby Allison, and even countless others. Harry Gant may be the next one I pay tribute to.
We can only hope we see another reunion.

Coo coo's boy winning races with Parkinson's disease.. Sterling Marlin. I saw him at Bristol I was heartbroken, then I saw he was still racing honestly when I saw him I thought he was hooked on Meth. When I heard I felt horrible..

Seeing Bobby Allison and Darrel Waltrip in the same room together makes me nervous. I know Bobby did not like Darrel much at all.
