I was at my Auntie's house at 805 Isabel Street in Brighton, Alabama. Playing the GameCube with my Cousins right before my 16th Birthday

I was. Branded #3 from birth by my father. He introduced us as #1 son #2 son, #3 son. I was honored that dale took the #3 to the top of nascar and sealed it as the greatest driver evers iconic number 3. From the first day he drove the 3 car, he was my hero, my driver, my #3. I followed my hero thru his entire career.he IS THE MAN, ALWAYS WILL BE THE MAN. There will never be another intimidator. No one will ever be able to handle a racecar like him. He had a super human ability behind the wheel. We are fortunate to have had the privilege to see the magical, amazing things he could do with that black #3. No other driver has ever given back to the sport as much as he did. I dont think any other driver ever will. No one loved racing with the passion that dale did. Nascar would be different if he was still with us. He will forever be missed by all. #3 will always be #1 . Never be anyone better than the intimidator in the black #3.

My parents had this vhs in the late 80s & I watched it so much. A few years ago, I bought a copy of it at a flea market & gave it to my dad.

I read in a interview how a reporter showed Dale a picture he had of Neil Bonnett and Dale hunting. Dale took the photo, looked at it for a minute, gave it back and glared at the reporter and then walked off. Couldn’t even speak of him nor be reminded it was so painful.
