  • Canadians are spending more time online than ever and so do Canadian Armed Forces members as part of their day-to-day work in the defence of Canada. That’s why the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program is investing in research and development in the cyber domain.
#DefenceIDEaS has recently completed an 18-month trial in a realistic military setting, known as a Test Drive, with Sapper Labs to refine their advanced technology that could help the Canadian Armed Forces identify malicious cyber actors. Identifying malicious actors, also known as cyber attribution, allows for the arrest and prosecution of perpetrators.

Great question, thanks for asking! One of the distinctions of members of the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) is that they wear a MultiCam uniform, a pattern that also worn by other military forces around the world.
