Thanks for your video. It was helpful to make sure we were seeing what we expected to see. We “summitted” on 7/14. The 1st quarter mile of the trail was a good flowing stream. Right, it can be more difficult when it’s hot and humid. It was a nice day for us. Highpoint #49. Just Katahdin left.

Mountain Laurel is also the state flower of Connecticut, my home state! I’ve been enjoying your videos. They give me incentive to get out and explore more places in my own back yard.

The top of Mt. Frissel is in Massachusetts. To get to the CT highpoint you needed to continue on the path a few minutes. As you crossed the CT line you hit the high point. If you turn around on Frissel you didn't get to the point. Also a few minutes past the high point you can reach the CT, MA, NY tripoint. Then a little pat that you can reach the highest point in Dutchess county NY. Meaning you can peak mountains in 3 states, bag a highpoint and also a tripoint.

That's quite the trek up with fabulous views to be awarded with. Have you been to Sleeping Giant in Hamden CT? It's half the size of MT Frizzell but lookin at your video is more treacherous, especially if climbing up the Giants head.

I hiked to the top of Mt Humphries in Flagstaff about 10 years ago man I thought I was going to die. Of course I was out of shape then and the Camel Lights didn't help. Now I am ready and in top shape would love to do it again! Used to live out east as a kid North Branford CT that looked so nice.

Another good video. Looking forward to you climbing that little 5100 foot high point in Georgia- Brasstown Bald, which is extremely close to Track Rock Gap, which is a Native American site, laid out like a Mayan complex. Stone walls for ever, with plazas and an ancient watering system. Good job Cliff!

October 25th..started trekking up Mount Frissel around 4 pm. (Huge mistake) foggy, wet and slippery....the red paint trail leads are fading away...so ..I lost the trail several times....But...through thick and thin
I made it to all 3 points...Mt Frissel Summit, 2 state register and finally. 3 state monument.....
Making it back to the trailhead was terrifying...slipped and fell several times on the slick rocks....daylight was fading and trail markers on trees and rocks were dissapearing .... survival mode kicked in...made to the parking lot at 5 past 6pm.
    Huge relief.....

Three miles east of Mt Frissell is Bear Mountain, CT’s tallest peak (not the highest point - that’s Frissell), definitely worth it if you haven’t hiked it. The Undermountain Trail connects to the Appalachian Trail and is about 5.6 miles round trip. A solid afternoon. The views from Bear Mountain on the AT are very good.
