I cannot be the only one who thought this guy looked absolutely gorgeous in Peggy Sue Got Married? Yep he was cast as the “heartthrob”, but I don’t think people acknowledge this fact enough.
You are absolutely NOT the only one who feels that! :)
Kevin's role in The Mummy is easily my favorite cinematic character of ALL TIME. Beyond brilliant and with a comic timing second to none. He "made" the film.
Kevin was amazing in the role! The sequels suffered from him not being there.
He was amazing in Van Helsing. Terrific actor...just SOOOO good at what he does! Thanks for this!
Fantastic actor, and yes, in Van Helsing was most definitely amazing!
Thanks for watching! :)
There's a level of character actors who are great in everything - Kevin J. O'Connor is one that always springs to mind. Loved him in Deep Rising (was delighted he survived!).
Totally agree! Kevin is one of those actors that elevates the projects he's in just by being in them. Adds so much to a film.
Thanks for watching! :)
A bit like Joe Panotliano someone with such a varied filmography but always top notch in it.- @@PopCultureRetro
Excellent comparison! Love both of them. :)
Kevin is one of my favorite actors
Same! :)
Immensely talented actor!
Kevin is a talented actor. I've seen him in alot of good, diverse works. Thanks for the discussion.👍
Kevin is great! So many fantastic roles, and just enjoy watching his performances.
Thanks for watching! :)
God bless you and your channel for inviting this iconic underrated actor!! 👏🏻
Not underrated in our eyes! :)
A brilliant performer.
Kevin was so much fun!
So cool how Kevin began by complimenting you guys. Well-deserved!
Thank you! Was a really cool moment. Kevin is so much fun to talk with! :)
You’re welcome, and thank you as always!
No surprize to hear yet another outstanding interview with you guys. Nothing BUT surprize that somehow my name came out of this man's mouth. If I'm in conversation about what I appreciate the most in movies, I usually bring up two scenes from There Will be Blood. Both with Kevin J. O'Connor in them. The "I want no one else to succeed" scene is positively chilling and no other two actors on the planet could play the scene better than those two did. No explosions, car chases, or fighting. Two people sitting and having a conversation that massively affects you. I'm in. The other is when Daniel jumps in to the ocean. After a beauty shot underwater, he calmly treads on the surface. Kevin (Henry), jumps in after. When he surfaces, it's clear that the water must be extremely cold by his reaction. Daniel continues to tread calmly. Daniel is a sociopath. Daniel doesn't feel. I could be wrong about this interpretation, but I'll continue believing what makes me happy, damn it. Again, great job, Jonathan and Ike. I normally don't care for the kind, wise, and extremely down to Earth type, but this Kevin J. O'Connor is okay in my book 😃 Amazing. Lastly, looking to hail a cab on a backlot is just storytelling gold. Man, I appreciate that.Thank you. - Moosie
Kevin told such great stories, and when he mentioned your name, it was even better for us! Two good friends of the show! :)
Kevin is such a nice and fun guy. Love his work, too, one of the best out there. The Mummy has stayed my favourite through the years due in no small part to Beni among other things (honest to god, I wanted to learn languages because of him). Thank you for such an amazing interview, it was a great watch, good dialogue! Looks like you all were having fun. I kept smiling throughout the whole thing, it's so precious. I only wish you had more time!
Can vouch for the fact that Kevin is just as nice off-screen as on, and yes, we had a great time! :)
Thanks for watching!
He is sooooo funnyyyyy! Loved this interview. Very down to earth and likeable!
Agreed on ALL parts! :)
ChiPs and Eight Is Enough are two of my favorite shows that Ike did.
Both were so much fun! :)
My favorite role was as Erich Schiller in the “Harriet’s Happenings” episode of Little House on the Prairie”. My brother, friends and I were big Ike fans growing up. Thank you for everything.
If he's on again, please ask him about playing Sammy in Steel Magnolias. I've never heard him talk about that one and he's very memorable in that. I so enjoy his work.
There are plans for Kevin to come back! :)
@@PopCultureRetro Dude... I LOVE Kevin. Love this guy. Terrific actor. Love him. So glad to hear of this. Can't wait for the next interview. I hope he sees all these comments and realizes how many people enjoy his work. Thanks again for posting this, great channel! Subbed.
Thanks for subscribing!
Will make sure Kevin sees the comments! :)
Lord of Illusions, Deep Rising, and The Mummy are my favorites of his. Kevin is cool and he screams funny. I wonder if he would do conventions.
To my understanding, not really, but you never know? :)
I would have liked to hear anything Kevin would have to say working on the great Robert Altman's miniseries "Tanner '88"--arguably the best work Altman did in the 80s and a showcase for all its actors. It was touching how he pauses the interview a few minutes to ask Ike about his Disney experiences.
Kevin was great and extremely gracious. . We went for a couple of hours, and EASILY could've gone for longer with his career. We'll have to have him back :)
Thanks for watching! :)
Wish you asked him about Claire Forlaine, she left the set of Deep Rising after 3 days, always wondered what happened in there
Kevin's career is so vast, and he's been in so many great films that it's difficult to get everything in. Hopefully, we can have him back to cover more! :)
Has he retired? I don't see anything listed past 2020.
No. Just took a small break, and will be back out again! :)
