@@jmtw290 it's a "gang" thing. Here's what I found on Wikipedia to explain it better. "a dance that involves the movement of one's feet, classically to the spelling of C-R-I-P (refer C Walk). It was used by Crips at parties to display affiliation, particularly vis-a-vis rival gang the Bloods." Snoop was/is EXTREMELY affiliated with The Crips. At 4:20 (haha, that's funny for other reasons 🤣) is where you can see him doing it. Its also why his ENTIRE outfit looks like one big BLUE bandana.
Few fun facts: NFL told Dre to take out the lyrics "Still ain't loving police"...HE SANG IT. NFL told Snoop no gang affiliation shit, so he couldn't wear his blue bandana in back pocket...so instead he wore AN ENTIRE BLUE BANDANA OUTFIT. And he broke No Smoking rules and got caught on video smokin dowwwwn right before he went out to perform. LOL I think the NFL forgot who these guys are. LMAOOOO.
I THINK "the knee" was three fold. It was paying respect to Tupac (that piano riff was the beginning of one of Tupac's songs), paying respect to Dre (if not for him, none of them would be where they are today) and taking a stand.
I think the fact that there were multiple artists made the performance move a lot faster and not get stale like it has in the past with soloists. It was a fantastic half time show and Im not particularly a huge fab of hiphop
Em took a knee. This superbowl halftime show was EPIC for the Hip-hop culture. The first time Hip-hop has been feature front and centered as the main attraction on the world stage in the superbowl and not a side participant but the Main Feature. Awesome..💯💯💯💥💥💥👏👏👏👏.
Loved your reaction. I had heard on radio that 50 cent was going to be a special guest so he was not a big surprise for me, but like you I about fell out when Eminem came out. I got super excited to see him up there with the rest of them. I agree with you about this being one of the best halftime shows performed. There have been a few others that were right up there with this one (Michael Jackson and Prince). They all were amazing and are showing all these young ones how they still have it even after all these years and with them all being in their 50's (except Eminem (49) and 50 cent (46)). Age ain't nothing but a number.
Absolutely, the best halftime show that I've ever seen. Hip hop/Rap LEGENDS !! Crazy respect 🙌 .i love YOUR reaction. Thanks for sharing. Powerful halftime show.

I don't know a lot about football but I made sure to watch the half time show because I KNEW it would be fire and I was not disappointed. I would not have been mad if they let Eminem do a couple more songs though. I love him so much!
YES YES YES!!!!! YOU are the best reactor I've seen so far!! You reacted just like I did, even the getting emotional part. SENSORY OVERLOAD was the perfect way to describe that off the chain performance!!! Awesome that you loved dre's hand in the very beginning--i loved that also and hardly any other reactors mentioned that. The way dre smiled in the beginning with snoop was so cool and I LOVED that he was groovin with the dancers for a few beats before he started walking towards snoop and loved that you noticed it also. Funny that you said "guess we know who snoop was pulling for" when everyone else is saying he wore those colors to represent cryp. The intense details that dre put into this show was just too much!!! I'm surprised you didnt comment on the amazing transitions between performances from very beginning with dre at soundboard then him walking to snoop for that performance, to dre and snoop pointing down to 50 and on and on. As far as Em goes, I didnt take him kneeling as a bow to the audience after his performance, I took it as him bowing/kneeling to dre since he did it right when dre walked to him and also out of respect to pac since dre then played pac's tune. But everyone else is saying it was done about the kneeling controversy, which would def be em's classic rebel, but I like my theory better--i mean the whole show was paying respects to dre and everyone mentioned him in their performance so I think that act was toward dre. The stadiums crowd volume at the end was just wow wow wow. I have watched this 50 times and will never get tired of it.
Hi, Travis. You have no idea how many times I've seen this show.Every time a plain joy , discovering details music ,production, the transition between the performances..Amazing !! So Travis I understand you if you rewind....Go..!!!!🎤💖
Great reaction Travis! A 3 hour concert within 15 minutes. The production, transitions, choreography and artist were outstanding. They only were given 15 minutes to perform and they executed the performance in a timely manner. They did the damn thing! Dre came to entertain and spent his 7 million dollars to satisfy and not to disappoint. They represented Cali very well. Legendary, iconic, and my era from 3 decades ago.🥰😍😘❤#dreday
I don’t even watch Football, but I tuned in to see the Halftime Show. All of the performers did amazing! They all inspire me to keep making my own music. I’m a rapper, but I’m not very good yet. I have to keep practicing. Maybe one day I can meet the artists who performed this year.
LOVED the GREAT/ENTHUSIASTIC reaction, Travis. I'm willing to bet, the majority of the people watching this SPECTACULAR/AMAZING half-time show, aren't aware that one year ago, Dr. Dre, suffered an aneurysm, that could have either killed him or left him with serious permanent mental/physical impairments. From where I sit, it appears Dr. Dre has made a full and complete recovery.
One NAME: Mary J Blige - The LEGENDARY QUEEN of Hip Hop Soul and R&B! And with that we see the importance of honoring the true legends of the history of the arts, those who founded the path!
Pretty amazing how they got Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick, Queen Mary, Rap god Eminem, Emmy winning show creater Curtis 50 cent, Uncle Snoop and the Puppet Master himself Dr. Dre all on the same stage! Nothing short of Iconic
Oh you are definitely right there. It was tear inducing seeing all of that on stage at the same time. Eminem was Death Row's baby. So all of them together on the same stage..pretty legendary. Dr. Dre still is ahead of his game. He's been producing for decades. But the stage appearances have been few. His smile was so relaxed and genuinely beautiful. He looked happy to see everybody. And Snoop...what can ya say about him. They broke every rule the NFL set out..very gangsta. Snoop did the Cryp walk and Dre said the words the way he wanted (and still kept it relatively clean) Kendrick was the youngest member of NWA if I remember right but I might be wrong. He honored Eazy-E with the Green Acres tune (but not the same lyrics) and the salute out to NWA of course. Everybody up there had either been signed by or worked with Death Row Records on something.

That's Anderson Paak, half of Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars, on the drums during Eminem's performance.

Travis, I cried through the whole show. I grew up right outside of LA so the set and the music took me back to my childhood!

If you didn't notice Anderson Paak was playing the drums during Lose Yourself.
Yes, he's on Dr Dre's Aftermath entertainment record label and so is Soul Sonic.
I think if there’s ever a question whether Eminem is taking a stand, the answer is always yes. :) He’s so freaking incredible. ❤️❤️❤️

I agree this was fire but Prince is my top pick ..
MJs was better than both prince and bruno Mars but this was the best hip. Hop performance ever...
This performance was ICONIC brought back late 90s/early 00s back. The tough question is which performance is better Michael Jackson or this one???
