I might be wrong and just throwing this out there. The length of the input shaft on the transmission suggests to me that the driven or secondary clutch would go directly to it.
Justa Guy You are exactly right. You can take the larger pulley off of the tav2 setup and it fits perfectly onto that shaft. This way you eliminate that alloy bracket that bolts to the side plate of the engine and your clutch drives the fr/rv trans directly by the belt. You just have to make a mount to hold it all together. I did this on my 94 ezgo electric to gas conversion.
Hi. Thanks for watching! The HF hemi is a 6.5 hp motor. It is more than capable of hauling 4 adults plus the weight of the cart. It really comes down to the gearing for speed purposes. As a rule. Hp is defined as the amount of power it takes to move 300 lbs over 1 ft. So 6.5 hp comes out to almost 1 ton. Obviously I'm oversimplifying it, but yeah. Long answer to a short question: it'll work. Hahaha
There sure seem to be a lot of comments from folks out there who have neither posted any vids themselves or offered anything in the way of constructive to the rest of the world too; but we don't let that bring our day down. Happy Holidays, and thanks for watching. 🦌🎄☃️
@@joshsoorlin579 Hey! Thanks for watching! I got the trans off of Ebay. If you do a quick search for go kart gearbox or transmission, it should pop up. I think (it's been a while) there is a vid of how it's mounted in the golf cart.
Sometimes I'm surprised that I figured out how to even turn the phone on. I have since begun shooting in landscape after the rest of the normal world clued me in. Haha I need help sometimes...
What horsepower engine were u running with this trans. I’m wanting to do the same on a golf cart but I want an engine that will pull 4 adults easily. Thanks
Hello Sir. Is there any way you could give me the name / website to where you got the transmission from. BMI karts do not carry them anymore and i am looking for at least 3 of them. Any help would be Greatly welcome. Thank you very much.

I no longer have this project. Though I may resurrect it later on down the line. There aren't many parts to these. Just sun and planetary gears - of sorts..
Where can I find one similar for less than $400 that has at least 3 forward gears. I'm gunna start building a replica 1918 Indian power plus motorcycle With a 12 horse Briggs and Stratton I have laying around..... I don't want belt and pulleys everywhere like o originally thought up. I want at least 2 or 3 forward gears so I don't over rev my cynical cylinder engine........
U Sa I wish I knew. I got that one from eBay, and it only had forward and reverse. I think your best bet is to check out a few forums online for some leads. Sounds like a cool project and would love to see it.
Johnny I. The ratio on these things is said to be 1-1.3 So it's almost 1-1 gear ratio so it might not be that bag of a deal I've got a single cylinder horizontal Briggs I have to make new flanges for the carb so it will run in a vertical position. Rewrite the electric ignition Chop up some buck frames and old leaf springs to make the rear suspension Gunna use peaces of an old mower hood to make a fuel tank...... as soon as I have all my bits and pieces and a mig welder And sawzall that's not crapped out I might start posting videos. Not a lot of videos on step by step building a custom replica motorcycle.....
U Sa Well I for one would definitely love to see THAT. It sounds awesome. If you do decide to get on that, let me know. I suddenly feel like pulling out my crappy welding skills again... Haha
Johnny I. I drug the engine back out and removed the governor, pulleys off the output Etc etc. should have videod it. I found pro-gear 4 speed transmision s on eBay.... but can't find much info on them if their manual or automatic Or how much HP they're rated for Or which shaft is input and which is output Still need to get the bike frames and figure out how I'm going to build the leaf spring rear suspension....... probably by cutting some leaf springs off the remains of a pop up camper I have...... and go from there.......
Hey everybody! Hi and thanks for watching all these vids I've put up here. I apologize for the lack of info on this series as far as all the minutia or step by step parts. Let me first say I'm by no means great at putting how-to's together, and I really could have done a better job. Also, even though I have moved on from this project a long time ago, I still get questions about the starter and flywheel issues with these motors. I am thinking of doing another motor just so I can do an in-depth tutorial on how to knock these out. That being said, please keep an eye out for one, as I'll probably be putting it all together in the very near future. If you haven't subscribed, please do, so you can get a notification when it's up here, as well as all the other random stuff I get myself into.
@Garrett McCullough Hi. Thanks for watching! So the clutch is actually mounted to the motor, and just kind of goes into neutral at low RPMs, and then engages when they pick up. So in essence, you just let off the gas and wait for the motor to slow down enough to disengage, and then shift into forward or reverse. Your project sounds pretty interesting. I would love to see it if/when you get it underway.
can you testify to the construction of the diff housing and gears? I've seen these with ads for up to 200cc but I'm wanting to know if in your opinion it could stand up to 600cc or so. Rancher Dan's Garage subscribe, like, share.. thanks!
Rancher Dan's Garage I honestly don't know how large of a motor it would support. But in my humble opinion, I think 600cc may be at the high end for this particular trans. Over that, I would recommend something a bit beefier.
So this is only for directional change. not gear ratio change.
Hi. Thanks for watching! That's correct.
Only thing, it's not 1to1 ratio, mine wasn't

what oil for the trans?and how much?

Hi. I am running 75w-90 synthetic gear oil.
Approx 32 oz / 946 mL.
Pretty good stuff. No chatter, whine or heat.
