When I learned about holding the photo button and sliding to the right, it was a game changer! Also, you can play music (I use Spotify) in the background and take the video at the same time with this feature.
Thanks for posting this. It showed me where features were that I wish I knew, and how to set some feature I knew were there but didn't know how to set. Some things were a little off because my phone is a different version, but VERY informative.
Does live photo decrease the quality of photos? Does it take more storage when taking pictures in live photo on rather than off? How do you know if deep fusion is enabled or disabled? Why 2x zoom (telephoto) sometimes has night mode available at night time but sometimes it doesn't(experienced myself on iPhone 11 pro max). I heard that iphone 11 pro max shoots night mode on 2x zoom, but it still uses main camera and crops in rather than using telephoto camera!
Live Photo take up more storage. It’s basically a photo and a small video. Night mode will switch from telephoto to main camera in certain situations due to the larger aperture (I’m pretty sure that’s what it’s called) so it reduces noise. The crop in actually looks better in those situations than the noisy telephoto. There’s no way to stop this as of now. It’s done automatically to maximize quality
Dear IDB I‘m an iPhone user since the release of the iPhone 4 (about 2010) In this whole time, I‘ve never really was into photos and videos, because it just wasn’t interesting enough for me. But now with the 12 Max and the advanced photo and video technology, it starts to interest me. Now in Your video is a section photo-settings in which there are the "Preserve Settings" to keep the settings where You left them. Unfortunately the Camera Mode setting DOES NOT WORK in my 12 Max. If I want the camera to always go back to photo, it just will stay at the last settings. Why is that? Greetings from Helvetia 🇨🇭
Thank you for these tips. Can you tell me about the small green dot in the upper right corner of the screen? How did it appear, what does it mean, how do you turn it off?
I watched several videos and I have to say yours was the most helpful. Thanks for the tutorial,it really helped me , however how do you take pictures without your own shadow being in them Example my hand shadow or body shadow? Hope you understand what i mean
I wish I could go to beautiful places and take photo with my iphone. Your place looks amazing outside and it has such a stunning view.😞💕❤️ I wish my country has snow😭😭💕💕
Thanks for posting this video which was, not only entertaining, but very educational and informative. I have learned alot about my Iphone 12 camera and how to use the settings on my phone. Thanks for all the tips. David Edwards

Night mode is just decreasing the shutter speed. This can be chosen manually with third party apps.
I think taking photographs with any iPhone models are better and convenient than the traditional DSLR
You are a very good instructor, thank you
I didn't know most of these tricks thank you so much I can tell you put so much effort into making this video
one of the best video to introduce iphone camera function, thanks.

Is there any differences between 4:3 and 16:9?
they are the screen size ratios, so 4:3 is almost square and 16:9 is wide screen
Wow thank you for sharing this info. I didn't know some of these cool aspects on the camera.
This is soo amazing 🎉🎉🎉🎉 thank you for sharing ❤
Wow, I feel like should give Apple more money for the cool camera you've shown me that I own - thank you!

Which format for camera has better quality
You cant choose to change the shutter speed on the iPhone 12 models which I find annoying. Hope we will be able to do this in the futute
Yes you can. I use RAW+ to shoot in RAW and it has fully manual settings for ISO, shutter speed, and focusing.
thank you great video
