Surprised that you left out: 1) Glynn Turman (played Nate Person, a rather significant member of the cattle drive and also afterwards); 2) Christina Raines (played Lucinda Zendt, Levi's wife, another big part in this production); Alex Karras (played Hans Brumbaugh, the VolgaDeutsch farmer, another major role); 4) Cliff DeYoung (played John Skimmerhorn, another major role in the production); 5) Rafael Campos (played "Nacho" Gomez, another big part in the cattle drive and also afterwards); 6) Kario Salem (played Mike Pasquinel, who had as big a role as his brother, Jacques, who you did mention); 7) Jesse Vint (played Amos Callendar, another big part in the cattle drive and later). Also others worth mentioning that you left out.

Aw, you forgot a few I recall, including Alex Karras (RIP), Sharon Gless, Christina Raines, and Cliff De Young. Also the one who played Nacho Gomez. There were so many though.
I loved this miniseries. I watched it many times. I love this. The question isn’t who was in Centennial. But who wasn’t. Completely. The best ever. Right down to the ending. With. Merel Haggard. Wouldn’t you know. Haggard whom I loved would. .be a part of something this great, Thanks for making this. Centennial. Was and remains. The best ever.

Special to see those still with us....that mini series was one of the 70's so best...and many more too....there was this time 'network' TV so tried for better...from Roots to Rich Man Poor man, Captains and the Kings...today we get the HBO trash TV so leading with sexuality...there are so many stories yet need be told .....

And "only the rivers run for all the days" . . .A great novel translated into a great tv series. Read the book twice way back when . . as well as most of Michener's other works . . .
I'm almost through with the book. It has been an amazing journey. The miniseries here looks pretty good. Well cast. I'm going to look for it.

I'll never ever forget the episode about The Dust Bowl...
Nor will I! It was terrifying! That poor woman, Alice Grebe, who went completely mad and killed most of her children. However the farmers (the newcomers) were 100% responsible for this environmental disaster. The locals told them time and again NOT to plough selions in straight lines but in undulating patterns so that the soil would not erode. They wouldn't listen. Our species is so bloody stupid.

I didn't know Lynn Redgrave passed away. I guess we all got older. I was glued to my TV set when Centennial was first shown, as I am now while it is being reshown on cable. Great series.

Between the 25 and 50 th second, music is not tiring, but nostalgic for me ! The music is tiring from the 50th second.
