    this was helpful, thank you so much. I got few articles from a friend but I'm struggling to add them to zotero, I tried opening them using chrome and I used the zotero chrome extension but It didn't work.

    Using the harvard with titles style, the multiple citations get added within the paragraph in alphabetical order ... how can i change that in to chronological order ??? After finishing the paper 😞

    I just learned that I don't need to use the clipboard anymore - it will add the Reference List right where the cursor is. I also just learned that if I have a reference list (unknowingly) in another part of the paper, then I get a very different popup screen that asks me questions about updating existing bibliography. I was stuck until I found the other one, then erased it. All the cited references came up. And my original learning was adding two years of the same author to one reference as you show here for multiple authors, Ostrom (2000, 2009) is the merged single citation; two separate references are listed in the References section. Did you know that citations are NOT counted by WORD in the word count?

    I have a question too; how do I cite something like "The dividends are given annually as proposed by Elton and Gruber (2006) whereby companies...." In text referencing using zotero?

    how does someone manage cross referencing? eg when i cite a book in fn 34 ...then refer to it again in fn 36 so it gives a shortened version (eg in OSCOLA) . but later on i add a footnote 33. which means 34 becomes 35. Will footnote 36 notice that it should now read infra 35 and not 34?

    Hi! How to create numeric references and bibliography, with both refreshing if I switch the order of the references in the text? (for example, i write something(1) and then another thing(2), and then i decide to change the order in the text in --> another thing (1) and something (2): how can i set the program to be the change from 1 to 2 and viceversa automatic?)
    Thank you

    I have a problem: every time I click at "add ciatation" I get moved to a separate desktop where I have to select the citations before being taken back to the Word document. How can I change it, that the citation dialog box appears in my Word document itself, just like yours?

    Great job ma'am, I have a question I have been using Vancouver style however, when I insert references where I need to cite the order of references is not correct in the bibliography.
    How can I fix it?
    If you come across this question, please tell me a solution I really appreciate it.

    What about footnote using Chicago or Turabian style? Does it work the same?

    • @ISULibraries
      @ISULibraries  3 года назад

      Yes-- You can upload the Word or Google Doc plugin to create in text citations or footnotes depending on the style you choose. You can even switch a whole paper from one style to another. For example, if I write a paper in APA style using the Zotero plugin and auto generate a reference page and then realize that I need it in Chicago style, then all I have to do is change the style choice and the whole paper will auto-format from in text citations to footnotes and regenerate the bibliography page. You can check out Zotero.org for more information about using the plug-in with various styles: word processor plugin usage [Zotero Documentation]. This is true for Zotero in over 8,100 citation styles. For further help, you can use the search feature on the Zotero website to find documentation on specific questions or applications
