I have met Darren a couple of times in Napa and had some great conversations. As you can tell from the clips, he's a super-nice, regular guy. For being so talented - actor, singer, songwriter, plays piano, guitar and violin, and speaks French and Italian - he's very down-to-Earth. Glad he's got a hit on Broadway.
He needs to go on Anderson Cooper’s podcast talk about his brother Anderson lost his brother to suicide too and his mother recently Anderson is a beautiful soul 😞💚♾️
He doesn't get to determine how his parents' DNA sorted out his skin color and facial features. He's half Filipino from his mom, and many in the AAPI community have embraced him.
I somewhat understand your frustration, but instead of worrying about that, you can praise Marcus Choi or Helen J Shen, an Asian actor making their Broadway debut. Or be excited about the rest of the AAPI swings/understudies who get to debut as well. Darren Criss isn't just there for no reason, he's putting in the work to advertise the show himself because he knows a level of celebrity is what it takes to keep a show open on Broadway, and as long as the show is open, Asian actors are benefitting. Don't dwell on the "negatives", not for something so benign.
He's not. He's had this come up ever since he appeared on Glee (2010-2015). He's always explained that he's straight. But his appeal transcends gender, and he has numerous fans in the queer communities.

He doesn’t strike me as a celebrity, but he certainly is a bright star.
Interviewer: "Criss starred as Harry Potter"
Me: "No he played Harry Freakin' Potter! Get it right you noob." 😂😂😂
I was so happy to FIND your comment.
So handsome
This dude was scary in American Crime Story: Versace Assassination
I can't wait 2 see it again.
He's doing the Carlton!
I enjoyed Lauren’s autobiography, highly recommend!
I need to see this as a major gleek!!
I don't think we have seen the limits of Darren's talents. I don't think we will see them for a long time.
You've transcended tragedy in a very flamboyant, non-Clint Eastwood way, Criss. Good job ❤❤🎉
Cool video. I wanna see that show!
He needs to go on
Anderson Cooper’s podcast talk about his brother
Anderson lost his brother to suicide too and his mother recently
Anderson is a beautiful soul
😞💚♾️
Fabulous music! Is this on Spotify?
If La La Land was a true story.
He’s half Filipino and studied in a Jesuit high school
Looks like joaquin phoenix.😊.
Nice painted nails
The interviewer is clueless and comes off as really dumb. I just turn it off when he’s on camera.
Happy ending. For real?
Having Darren Criss as the lead in an Asian play when he’s white passing is frustrating.

He's playing a robot

Replying to knjjah2776 great comment! Darren is also a producer on MHE, so he's got his own money invested, too.

painted fingernails

Becoming more and more common these days with all sorts of people
