The spell card rules dictate how many bombs and lives you get, so when Marisa stopped playing by those rules since this was a fight for her life she started spamming them because she no longer needed to limit herself to abide by those rules.
in touhou imperishable night you can switch characters in the game Marisa can switch to Alice and same remiu can switch to yukari in the game that why you see them switching characters after Asriel shooting at Marisa the first time you see them switching the characters.
